Chapter 7: Lineage

I walked into the house, in the spacious hall was Anna, meditating, sitting on the floor closed eyes in a corner. I went to a couch in the hall. Though hall is spacious, there is nothing much here, a beautiful black couch with golden covers, a good and sturdy study table and two chairs for table.

The couch was on right after entering and table and chairs on Left top corner opposite of door and near a small window. There are three rooms accessible through the hall. On left and right side were doors leading to two bedrooms. And if you go around the couch straight at opposite wall on right side of room was a door leading to a kitchen.

After few minutes of my arrival, Anna slowly opened her eyes. She looked at for a while before asking:

"Are you alright?"

"Perfectly fine." I said smiling.

"What kind of tiger was it?" asked Anna. Though she knew it was a tiger and it was powerful but she did not know which species of tiger it was.

"Ice tiger." I replied nonchalantly like it was no big deal.

"Ice tiger? That is 9th tier magical beast if it's adult, sometimes even King stage. You fought with it for fifteen minutes, and did not die. You don't even have a scratch. How is that possible? Are you 9th tier warrior? No, that's not possible, I am only 5th circle mage so, at most I can only summon peak 6th tier warrior." Anna said shocked and surprised.

"I am 7th tier warrior and also 7th circle mage. Remember, I said I helped you summon me. I am actually powerful so I can fight on par with 9th tier warriors or mages, when I use both magic and warrior methods. And what do you mean "you did not die"? Do you want me to die?" I said slightly boasting and slightly teasing. Ah it was actually not boasting, it was truth. If that was human or any other humanoid 9th stage warrior or mage then they would have been heavily injured, if not fatally. It was only because Ice tiger's defence was high that it was not heavily injured but still one rib was broken. And it greatly helps when my stamina and vitality are endless. My already good regeneration is given exponential boost by my vitality, my regeneration power is almost on par with my father who is at demi-god realm of power and no matter how long I fight I would not feel fatigued due to endless stamina.

"Ah, I did not mean you to die. I was only curious. So, you were able to kill the tiger?" Anna said.

"N-no, It's defence was tough to crack and after it activated ice armour it became more difficult." Just then I was boasting. I said embarrassed for the first time in my third life.

"Hmm it would require at least two normal 9th stage mage or warrior to defeat ice tiger or an exceptionally strong 9th stage mage or warrior. You coming out unscathed while fighting it for 15 minutes is already extraordinary." Anna said amazed.

"Hmnp, that was nothing for me." I said.

"Right, Should we leave for Faragas then?" asked Anna.

"Hmm, it already midday, we cannot reach town by night even if we leave now. If we leave tomorrow morning we should reach by evening and even then we will be 3-4 days ahead of schedule. I think we should rest for today." I said.

"Alright, Can I ask you something then?" said Anna.

"Sure, Go ahead." I said.

"I have seen many familiars but never have I seen any familiar demons who can control space, nor have I heard of any. How come you can do it? Are you really from some noble demon lineage you say you come from." said Anna "You can choose not to say." added hastily.

"Hmm, I think I can tell you. It can also help you to know me." I said.

"To know why I can do what I can, you should know about history of demon world. Many million or billion years ago, a war was going on in demon world. Beast race and Demon race were fighting for supremacy. Beast race were formidable and slaughtered demon race. Demon race were on brink of extinction."

"One day, to help demon race not to be extinct from demon world, demon gods from hell descended. The King of demon gods himself descended with three other demon gods. The three gods were demon god of envy, demon god of gluttony, and demon god of lust."

"They did not have a name though. They were called what I said."

"At that time demon king had three of his strongest general who were fighting with beast race. The king of demon gods bestowed a drop of his blood to demon king. And other three true gods also did the same for demon generals."

"Demon king who got the blood of king of demon gods, got the power to control, to be exact the power to control space. In his space he could control almost everything. He also had higher stamina, and regenerative capability which were physical abilities."

"Demon general who got the blood of demon god of envy, got the power to mimic or utilize techniques which they envied of others like their own and almost instantly. All techniques except for innate techniques like power to control space."

"Demon general who got the power of demon god of gluttony, got the power to absorb energy attacks like magical or mana attacks and use it replenish their energy."

"And at last demon general who got the blood of demon god of lust, got the power to shape shift. And he also possessed great vitality."

"Though there were some restrictions to their power like area of space that one can control, level and proficiency in techniques learned, amount of energy that can be absorbed. They all depended on wielders stage in cultivation. None the less, they were great power."

"Using this power, demons gradually reclaimed their land. The war was long and arduous, so eventually they singed a treaty which is still valid after all these years. These ancestors ascended to hell to serve the gods they received power from when they reached demi god realm. But they all left behind descendents who inherited their power."

"Now coming to me, my parents were descendents of them. My father is descendent of demon king and my mother is descendent of demon general who got the blood of demon god of lust."

"Normally, the power which is more dominant or to which child's character inclined, in case of same powered bloods of god will be inherited when they undergo first evolution. For example, in my case my father's power who got power from ancestor who got blood of king of god should have been dominant and power I got from my mother's side should have been lost after my first evolution. But if power are same, let us consider, a child between any descendents of generals, let's take descendent of envy and gluttony then, if child is inclined towards envy more than he will get that power to mimic and if he is inclined to gluttony then he will get ability absorb energy."

"Wait , wait, wait. That means you should only have the power to control space but I see you shape shifting as well. And you are a prince?" interjected Anna.

"Ah, technically, yes, I am a prince. And I do have abilities from both my parents side. My parents were also bewildered by that and when they found out that I have an exceptionally strong soul, they formulated a theory which is mostly correct."

"I was excessively fun loving since I was a child and before my first evolution. And lust is also a form of entertainment and power. So, it naturally suited my character quite well. This power got further boosted because of my fun loving character which was born from my powerful soul. So, it manifested itself after my evolution. And power to control space came from most powerful demon god, how can it be suppressed so easily, so this power also manifested after my evolution. Thus, I got both powers." I explained. I did not tell about past affairs to my parents because past is past, it should only be used to take as a reference and not dwell in it. Also I cannot say that I requested those powers from king of all gods. Ah, king of demon gods and God king are different, mind you. king of demon god is only king of demons who became god. God king is king of every gods in multiverse.

"Hmm seems like a valid reason." said Anna "So, why did I not see and hear about any demon who can use space magic?"

"Hmm so you think a prince, who already has life span of an immortal and is guaranteed to reach immortal realm power within 5000-20000 years if he puts slightest of effort, be willing to serve a human who has to painstakingly try to reach that power leaving behind luxuries of lifestyle of prince." I reasoned.

"That is true as well. But... But you are here." said Anna.

"I am different. Due to my fun loving character even a blood of less powerful god which was supposed to be erased by more powerful blood also manifested. A title of prince or king is insignificant. And demon world is extremely boring. There is peace between beasts and demons but I also don't want war. When I went to beast territory and fought and killed few beasts, my father already got warning. If I were any other demon than consequences would not be great but I am prince so, I cannot be reckless. If I have to fight someone, I had to provoke others by shape shifting because every space controller has golden eyes which proves I am royalty so, no one dared to provoke me. Also even if I did provoke someone using shape shifting I could not go full power, otherwise my secret will be revealed. So, my only source of fun was indulging with girls. That also was not much fun, they would agree almost readily and I would have to shape shift for otherwise. So, later it got boring." I say " And even when I teased or made fun of someone they did not even ever show any negative reaction at all, except for my parents. so it was no fun either. My parents also grew dull to it later, it was utterly boring."

"Hmm but here too, if not humans here, demons will still know you are a prince. What then?" asked Anna.

"They are bound by contract, they have to fight even if it is their own father." I said.

"So, you did not tell us because you thought we will treat you with respect." Anna said.

"Yes, and even if you did not treat me with over caution like in demon world. There would still be slightly better treatment. Like my perverted remarks would be passed almost like air by simply smiling. It's no fun if people didn't react. And second reason, I also kind of forgot." I said smiling.

"Hah, you forgot you are a prince?" said Anna.

"Hmm... If you are not attached to it then, you tend to forget, no?" I said.

"Right, looks like it's almost night outside. We should eat something and go to sleep." said Anna.

"Alright, " I said and summoned some dry foods from kitchen. I can summon anything within this dimension anywhere I am. I have stored these foods in case of emergency or if I wanted to stay sometime over here.

After we ate our food. Anna said:

"In which room should I sleep?"

"Hmm you can sleep with me in my room." I grinned and pointed towards the door in right.

"Ahh, after all that serious talk, I almost forgot you are a pervert. You sure are affected by blood of demon god of lust." said Anna shaking her head, smiling and turning to go to room on left.

"Hey, what was that?" I asked.

She turned and asked with confused look:

"What was what?"

"Hey, that's no good reaction. I told you I am prince and you already changed your attitude. Be angry or something. I should have left out the part that I am prince. Oh right I forgot I was banished from demon world. I am no longer a prince... Arghh fine, but you have to promise not to reveal to anyone that I am a prince." I said irritated, after Anna kept smiling at my lie.

"Alright, I promise. I won't say to anyone that you are a prince but what about all demon familiars? they will know sooner or later." said Anna.

"It's fine, they cannot reveal information about other demons, about their power or position of demon world. They can only provide information to their master or any other people only about things others familiars have done in this world. And every familiar has same position, their status in demon world doesn't matter after being summoned here. Demon world's rule does not apply here." I said.

"Alright" said Anna and went to room on left side.

I headed to my room on right. 'Oh here's my emperor size bed. I missed you' I thought and jumped on bed.

Demons from descendants of general who got blood of demon god of lust is essentially derived from succubus but here they are different and not called succubus. They are called something different which we will get to know in later chapters.
