AND we're back people! So exciting!! xD

Here you go with the first chapter of volume 2,

"Kya~ its Rota!" shouted a girl, as I entered the class.

"The handsome prince!" shouted another.

"I wish he'd hold me in his arms." shouted yet another and it continued between the groups of girls in our class.

"Haaah.." I signed as I reached my desk and hung my bag on the chair.

I could hear a few more screams as I stretched, from the girls and could feel some of the hateful eyes from the guys side. But this had become commonplace so I didn't particularly care... Okay, maybe just a little.

You wanna know what's going on? Hmm.. Lets see. It all started a little less than 3 months ago. Or was it more than 3 months? Ah, who cares? Anyway, I confessed to a girl I liked in class in front of all my classmates, and I was rejected. Just so you know, I don't care about her anymore. I'm totally over her. I may have cried myself to sleep that night, but I'll completely deny everything if the topic ever comes up.

So anyway, where was I? Ah yes, I was rejected. And I'm sure you know how rumors spread. This incident spread like wildfire and it was known throughout the school by the next day. But even though this made me famous, it wasn't exactly in a positive light. I might have been 'The Sympathetic Prince' or to some who liked the shorter version, 'The Pathetic Prince' by then, but definitely not the current 'Handsome Prince'. The incident for THAT happened around two weeks ago.

*Flashback starts*

I'm heading home from the supermarket.

I witness 4 delinquents surrounding a girl and getting all touchy.

I beat them to a pulp.

I escort the girl home.

*Flashback ends*

That was pretty much what happened but as it turns out she was from our school, just one grade younger than me. And since you already know how rumors spread, I'm sure you can guess what happened next. This is basically the reason for my upgradation to the title of 'Handsome Prince' of which every girl dreams, that he would come and rescue her. Well, I didn't even know the girl or the delinquents at the time, so I guess you can say that I did it on a whim. Its just that I was pretty confident that I could take on the 4 of them without a problem. It was partly because I'd been training my body the last couple of months and mostly because I had overcome way tougher opponents by myself (in virtual reality).

But I guess what's done is done and its not like I'm particularly unhappy with the developments in my life, is what I thought at first but soon the guys started to look at me with eyes full of jealousy and disgust which hurt a bit.

Well, it's not like all the guys hate me. Yuko's there (though he's not here at the moment) and some others who talk to me.

Ah, speaking of them, there they are! The small group of 4 people in my class who still talk to me waved at me when they realised I was looking at them and resumed their conversation thereafter. Well, even though I say they talk to me, its with kind of a reserved feeling. I know they mean no harm, but its hard to go against the majority, so they mostly try and keep their distance, not that I blame them.

*clunk*

As if to interrupt my thoughts, the classroom door opened, and a person with glasses appeared. Behind those glasses, were pretty brown eyes which looked around as she entered the class. She waved to some of her friends who had noticed her, with an expressionless face as always and headed towards her own desk. I'm sure many of you already guessed, but I'll say it just to make it official. This is Pauli Chroma, the girl who rejected me.

Just then, our eyes met and I felt as if she gave a faint smile towards me before she looked looked away.

*dadam dadam*

(Did she smile at me? Ah, no way. Definitely my imagination)

(Also, what's with that weird sound?)

I could hear a weird thumping sound from somewhere. I tried to ignore it, but unfortunately, it was coming from me.

(Shit! My heart's beating like crazy!)

Well, I MAY have lied a teensy-weensy bit when I said I was over her.
