Jack was swept away by the tides of students attempting to escape the room. After a hallway or two Jack finally emerged from the tide and stood still panting. He attempted to go back toward the Banquet Hall but a hand caught his shoulders and pulled him back. "Hey man don't go, Jonah said not to" Danny said at his side was Emily Spencer was also there with a few scratches on his arms and legs.
"Correy?" Jack asked immediately and Danny flared up "That coward expected us to rescue him when he made no effort in running himself. Hiding underneath that table was the death of him"
"Danny, he is a member of the team and you should have made an effort to at least help him" Emily retorted.
"When was he a member of the team, all he did was move some wires around other than that he never went out to help in any trials we faced" Danny argued.
"Enough, we have to find the last two trials and complete them" Spencer cut in and stomped off.
Emily and Danny puffed out their chests and gave a humph before walking in separate directions.
Emily passed him and Jack could briefly hear "This is why I hate men, so full of themselves."
Jack was conflicted on who to support in this event so Jack went off to find Classroom 7 to consult with Abigail.
Finding the way back was easy enough with the red lights guiding the way and the sign for Class 7 appeared before he knew it.
Entering the room there was Abigail who was busy organizing the supplies and tidying the room.
Hearing the door open she turned around and faced Jack. Upon seeing Jack however her eyes shimmered. She ran forward her arms extended into a hug and tackled him to the ground with sobs.

Jack was completely taken back by this turn of events and as flustered as he was he attempted to give a hug back.
Abigail slowly got up while wiping the tears from her eyes and gave a sad smile. "I thought I lost you" Abigail said and Jack could only be perplexed.
"I need to talk to you, do you have time?" Jack asked quickly and Abigail nodded her head. "Of course, what do you need me for?"
"I.." Jack started but a flashing notification on the watch broke his concentration.
The Trial: Metal Maniacs in the Gym has been started, Unlocking the 7th Trial.
7th Trial: The Living Maze in the Basement and the Workshop in the Attic has been unlocked.
As soon as one of these trials is started then the other cannot be entered.
Blue lights will guide you to the basement, while Green lights will guide you to the attic.
Make your choice
Jack had spluttered when he saw the information. "Another solo trial?"
Jack took Abigails hand and started to run while thoughts ran through his mind
'Who went and attempted the trial by themselves, who just who?"
Jack was so unaware of where he was going he ran into a person and knocking everyone to the ground.
Jack rubbed his head and looked to see it was Joshua. "Josh?" Jack exclaimed and Joshua expressed surprise and then quickly started questioning Jack. "Hey what's going on, Why are you here?" Jack wanted to answer him but Emily soon appeared with Spencer in tow.
"Dannys done it now, he gotten himself killed" Emily growled and then went up to Jack and grabbed his arm. "Come on, we need to head towards the workshop"
"Whoa whoa whoa, I think the basement is the better option, I don't know why but its a gut feeling" Spencer piped up.
Emily threw Spencer a murderous glare but Spencer didn't back down at all.
"Fine its a group vote, where do we want to go?" Emily spat with anger and she raised her hand for the Attic, vote supported by Abigail.
Spencer raised his hands for the Basement with Joshua also supporting him.
Emily and Spencer turned to Jack "Which do you choose?"
Jack backed away unsteadily while looking at the two of them.

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.

As our heroes begin their journey to win the Second Icarian-Orion War, they will go through many trials and tribulations.
