《Terror Infinity- Absolute》Chapter 8- Intermission 2

Jack sat himself down at a large table in a old wooden cabin style room. One Hamock and a top bunk Bed were in a cornor, underneath them a desk filled with aged paper and ink. Barrels littered the room though mostly shoved to the side, A Fire pit was in the center of the room and Meagan was happily humming a tune as she stirred a pot.
At head of the table sat Jonah in a, he was chugging down mug after mug of rum. Akatsuki was sitting on the ground, her meal placed in front of her on a low table.
On the left side sat the boys, the right side the girls. Jack was situated in between Smitt and Danny. In front of him sat Abigail and to the left of her was Emily.
"Now we are in business, this table shows the importance of you to the team, separated by gender. If you work hard then of course you will find a higher place on this table" Jonah announced.
Jack looked at the food in front of him, it appeared to be lukewarm and in a good sized portion, at the place where Jonah was sitting there was a banquet with 7 course meals and many more options to choose from. You could even see the steam rising from the food.
Jonah clapped his hands to gather everyone's attention
"Now that we have gathered here, and before we eat our meal we have something we are in dire need of. We have to formulate a strategy since we have new recruits, We have Smitt and Emily on the far side, Emily sniping and Smitt protecting her, as for me I can do perimeter checks, this allows us to be passive, which did us a whole lot of good in the last movie.

The next movie however will be different, we got a reflector" He looks at Jack
" We got a healer with her own bodyguards " He looks at Abigail
" And we got this guy" He looks at Danny.
"All of you are new but we will work together to ensure we survive to go home" and with that everyone gave a cheer and started to feast.
It was a peaceful time, we all sat chat, stuffed our stomached and Jack enjoyed the time. "If we could stay like this forever" Jack smiled and took another bite of his burger, despite it being warm and falling apart, it was good. Danny was trying to eat a steak but it was cooked poorly, making it hard to cut.
Abigail was laughing as she talked to Emily. Jonah got drunk on his rum and was happily complimenting Smitt on a lot of things, to which Smitt just ignored and continued to eat his salad.
After all the fun times of eating, drinking, talking and doing other random stuff, Jonah snapped out of his hangover and ordered for training to begin. We wouldn't be able to control our abilities right away so we had to practice.
Danny was learning to fire his gun but instead of using the actual gun he had a gun similar to it in his hands. Since God won't allow us to spawn sci-fi weapons, or their ammo he was just using a regular rifle in hope of improving his aim. Abigail was near the water, she was training both her beasts by having them combat a spawned monster, As she was training them, she would use her Undine powers to heal or help them based on the current situation.
As for Jack, he was helping Danny, if Danny had to learn how to aim, He had to learn how to reflect projectiles, it would have him become a big help to the team if he could master such powers, Vector Manipulation allowed for people to change the trajectory of movement, if a car was barreling at him, he could making it go back the other way, go to the side, basically any direction that would not make it hit him. He could also use it to hold open doors and debris that may have weighted hundreds or thousands of tons.

"Here I go" Danny said and he fired with his gun, the aim was off but it would still hit Jack, Jack focused on the bullet, trying to make it move but the bullet just kept coming at him and pierced his shoulder, Jack screamed out in pain and slumped to the ground, blood dripping from his arm
Abigail came over and put water over it, the wound would slowly heal over time but Jack could still feel the pain course through his body as if a something was eating away at his muscles. After a bit, Jack slowly got to his feet. "Alright Danny try again"
"Are you sure man, it looked painful last time" Danny asked worried about Jack's well being.
"I'm fine, I have to push through this to learn don't I" Jack chuckled nervously"
Another shot another moment to heal.
And so it went for the remaining 8 days they had in God's Realm

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. A chance to claw her way up the rigid social and financial ladder to make something of herself. A chance that wouldn’t come naturally to someone as familiar with dark alleyways and the glint of steel as she was with office work and corporate niceties.Book One is up on Kindle Unlimited as of 7/6/22 - https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0B2X3L8H5

He slowly backs up until his back is against the wall like my own, "You're..my neighbor?" He points to my door and I nod my head quickly. He hums softly, "You been here a while?" He asks and I nod my head once again. He chuckles, "Ya head hurt?" I nod again but stop as he laughs softly, "I-I mean.. no.. it doesn't." My cheeks burn red as I look at my shoes, "I-It doesn't hurt.." I repeat like a dummy and listen to him clear his throat, "So do you actually live there or was it bull?" He nods to my door and I play with my fingers, "Yeah.. I do.." I feel his eyes watch me and I quickly stop. "You live with your boyfriend or do you like sweatshirts that reach your knees?" He teased, making a giggle slip past my lips. I look away to the floor again, "I-I like big shirts... a lot." I mumble softly and he nods his head, "Hol' up." He puts his box down before walking over to one of the grey bins. I nosily watch as he pulls out a big grey sweatshirt, "Here." He holds it out for me to take and I stare at him with wide eyes, "F-For me?" I hesitantly grab the soft fabric as he chuckles, "Nah for ya mom." I puff my cheeks a little and give him a small glare, "Hush." He leans back against the wall and shakes his head, "It's cold out.
