Chapter 24
When I woke up I found myself on a prison bed with my hands chained to the head board. I look around and see that there are two men, probably military or ex military by the looks of them, playing cards on a small table behind bars. No, wait; I’m the one behind bars.
‘To easy, she’s rather lacking imagination with this test. I mean a prison break test? That’s Childs play, literally.’ Jack
“Oh look, the prisoner is awake” guard # 1
“Aw, I wanted to splash water on his face” guard #2
‘I know a way to make this more fun. Torture, psychological torture. But before that I want food’ jack
I look over to what I assume to be the food that I’m supposed to eat and see that it is some rancid grey slop.
‘On second thought, I can go without food for a week; it wouldn’t be the first time.’ Jack
“Hey kid, do you want some of this fantastic food?” guard
As he said that he spit into the bowl.
‘I’ll get revenge for this’ jack
“Why would I want the rancid horse shit that you enjoy as a delicacy” jack
“Hah, their always strong in the beginning, but having nothing to do but lay down and feeling hungry and thirsty for days tends to break people.” Guard # 2 who will now be referred to as 2
“I think you’ll find that you will be the one to break” jack
They both just glare at me before going back to their card game, I think its poker. I start by meditating, after meditating for a couple minutes I activate my thin presence ability and begin to extend my mind towards the two idiots, only real back at first, their minds are filthy and scattered. Their minds are similar to their appearance, that is to say, ugly. I shudder a little in disgust before diving back into their minds. I look through their recent memories for a second just to confirm what I already know. I trigger the areas of their brains that control things like fear, paranoia, irritation, and aggression, and dull the areas that control things like cognitive thinking and trust. I wait for a couple minutes, opening my eyes to see that they are both scratching themselves, before continuing.

‘This is exhausting, but also really fun. I am going to have to train this, a lot.’ Jack
I start by creating a small sound inside their mind, just a barely audible tic sound, and every 3 seconds. Every 30 seconds I make it just slightly louder. After about 10 minutes I see that they are more irritated, scratching more, standing up occasionally, only to sit back down, things like that. After 15 minutes of this they start audibly complaining.
“I’m going to have to tell that hag about all of the mosquitoes down here, I’ve never been so itchy in my life” 1
Things along those lines. I watch as they get affected more and more by my psychological torment. After about 7 hours one of them finally snaps and starts screaming at the other one, at this point I can’t make out what he’s saying, his voice being affected by me and due to the fact that I’m concentrating on keeping everything going. As soon as 1 starts screaming, at least I think its 1, 2 snap as well and start screaming at 1. I unfortunately still can’t make out what their saying, but they haven’t noticed me due to my thin presence ability. After about 10 minutes of screaming 1 reaches for his gun and shoots 2, he misses which causes 2 to reach for his gun and shoot. 2 hits 1 in the leg, arm, stomach, and ball sack, while getting shot in the arms, chest, and finally, the head. At this point I turn off my abilities allowing 1 to think clearly as well as notice me.
“I told you that you’d be the one to break” jack
When I said that his face changed from a look of total confusion to one of absolute haltered. I’ve seen that look on people a number of times, mostly right before I kill them.

“You did this to us! You, you monster! You demon!” 1
“Technically the second one is correct” jack
“I’ve got three bullets left, not enough to kill you, but at least I can destroy the only set of keys to the door and your handcuffs.” 1
He then took out a key ring with two keys on it and put a round into both of them. Then I snap the chains on my hand cuffs with my bare hands and stand up. I take a minute to slowly tare the actual cuffs off, exaggerating everything. Once they are off I feel up the bars of the door.
‘Hmm, iron’ jack
After feeling around for a minute I find what I’m looking for, three week spots in the metal. I raise my foot and kick tree times in those three places with just enough strength to make it vibrate just right. After 2 seconds the bars shatter, leaving behind Corse iron sand.
“I don’t need the keys” jack
As soon as I said that I trigger the parts of his brain that cause helplessness and sadness. He picks up his gun, which has one bullet left.
“I guess this means I’m joining you early in heaven. I hope you’ll forgive on old friend.” 1
He shoots himself in the head and falls down in a slump. I snort, only angelic class creatures go to heaven, and certainly not when they die. It’s common knowledge that your soul is reincarnated when you die.
I walk over to the table they were playing cards on and grab the money on it, About 200 Jaers (pronounced jars, it is the most common form of currency in that world. 1 Jaer=3.57 USD).
‘Yay, pocket change’ jack
I walk up to the big steel door and turn the handle.
End chapter 24
