Prologue to Chapter 3: An Interesting Morning
When morning came, Jin was already awake. In truth, he only slept for three hours before getting back up and starting his usual early morning routine. Running, reviewing, and re-practicing. This was how he lived his life. For two long hours, he has done nothing but to re-practice all his skills in order not to lose them. Jin was afraid that if he didn’t sharpen every day, he would become inferior to others.
Once he was done, he headed right back home. Seeing that the woman was still asleep, he didn’t bother to wake her up and decided to clean up and then prepare the breakfast table. As he was going through the fridge to find something good to make, he was slightly disappointed. But when he opened the fridge, all he could find was a box of cereal, half a gallon of milk, two egg, leftover rice that seems to fill a small bowl, some grapes, a banana, and half a tomato.
‘Cereal? Half a tomato? One egg? Surely she is joking when she said that she wanted to me to cook right? She wanted me to make something out of just these materials?’
…..
I was really disappointed. I was really looking forward to my first meal in a long, long time….
*Sigh*
I look on the shelves above and saw that there is still a box of flour, ½ a bag of sugar, and 1/4th container of salt. There were still some other ingredients up above as well.
Scratching my head, there were three things that I can make this morning with an additional surprise. “Seems like I have to make do with what I have then...”
The aromatic scent spread across the apartment floor. Those who could smell it drooled with desire. *Sniff*Sniff* It wasn’t till a few minutes later, that the woman woke up. The smell was so good that it stimulated her brain and woke her up.

‘What smells so good?’ she thought as she followed her nose. Her nose eventually led her to the kitchen where the aroma was strongest. Her eyes were still closed when she came into the kitchen.
“That’s quite a talent you have there.” A familiar voice said warmly to her.
When she open her eyes, it was still blurry. For a moment, she saw a motherly image in front of her.
“Eh? Mom?” she was surprise.
“What part of me looked like a mother?” the person in front of her pouted.
When she rubbed her eyes again, she saw the real figure.
The person in front of her was a man who she’d saved yesterday. His straight front hair yet slightly messy hair back hair hides his mannequin-like face. From the front, his hair was straight and silky but from the back, it was a messy and yet vibrant look. He wore a button down shirt with navy blue slacks and had worn a pink apron to cover his front. Yes the man in front of her was Jin.
“Who are you?” she did not recognize him. The homeless man now looked like an animated character coming to life. He also looked like a model at that!
“Ha ha. Don’t you remember me? I’m that homeless person you’d saved. Now come on and let’s eat. I'm sure that you don't mind that i borrowed your pink apron to make these food. I’ve put a lot of effort into making these dishes.” Jin said to her as he points towards the table. On the table were four dishes and one tall glass of milk. The dishes on the tables were: Bread, Omelet with tomato sauce, a small bowl of rice, and what seems to be a smoothie

Jin could see the drool running down the corner of her mouth which made him smirk. When she looked at his face, she saw that he was smiling and immediately knew what it was about and quickly wipe away the drool and gave a hateful glare. This made Jin nervous because he didn’t know what he did wrong.
“You made all of this? With so little ingredients?” she asks Jin.
“Mhm. Though they were made cheaply and in a rush, I can guarantee the taste” Jin stuck out his chest as he answer her in a prideful way.
Still suspecting the cook, she walked right over to the table, grabbed the bread and gave a big chomp on it. The taste of freshly baked bread was good regardless. But what she didn’t expect was the filling. ‘T-this is? Grape and bananas?’
“Good right?” Jin smiled at her. Hearing his voice annoyed her. Just when she was about to refute, his radiant smile just melt all of that anger.
In her mind, she hated these types of people the most. People like Jin were hardest to fight back at not only due to their innocent nature, but astounding facial features and enthralling way of expressing his emotions. Especially when it is a smile that radiant, it is hard to get mad at a person.
In truth, Jin, trained himself to obtain two types of smile. Jin, while working in the work force, soon learn how important a business smile was in meeting people and melting their cold hearts. But he also had his genuine smile which he liked best. Mainly because smiling genuinely is more relaxing and doesn’t seem fake. Secondly, he liked to smile a lot in his life. So he presented her the genuine smile.
“Hm? What is it?” Jin still smiling at her, questioning why she was standing so stiff. Seeing that she wasn't moving, he close up on her face until the distance between them was only an inch.
The woman felt embarrassed so she ran right into the bathroom and locked the door. *BANG*LOCKS* But while she was running, something fell off. It turned out that her short blue hair was a wig! Underneath reveals a long silky soft flowing golden locks. When he looked back at the running figure, he saw her long luscious beautiful golden hair.
Picking up the wig, Jin laugh heartily inside his heart. But he wasn’t laughing that her wig fell off. But laughing that she was so innocent looking when she was embarrassed.
“It seems like she is just another girl hiding behind her mask” I muttered softly. ‘If she had such beautiful golden hair, why did she have to hide it?’
*Unlock*
Eh?
The woman ran as fast as lighting to retrieve her short blue bob cut wig, snatched it out of my hands, and ran right back in the bathroom.
*Bang*Locks*
Her facial expression were priceless. "Cute..." It truly was so innocent and cute that I really wanted to hug her to death. Until I remember how she aimed the gun at my head and fired those four bullets. "Well, this is interesting ha ha."
