Major character introduction chapter
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Welcome to the West Wind Acadmey," said Cixi to Akiza. "You will need to collect some things from the Supplies Office.
"Where is that?" asked Akiza.
"Someone will guide you, just wait outside," said Cixi. "I have other business to attend to so I will see you around."
Cixi left. Akiza stood outside by the entrance to where she took the test. A young boy with white hair slightly taller than Akiza was looking around. He was wearing what resembled farmer clothes. It was a brown top and long brown pants. They were very worn and dirty. He then walked up to her.
"Are you Akiza?" asked the young boy.
"Yes," Akiza replied.
"I'm Serph, I'm your new roommate," the young boy said.
"Roommate?" asked Akiza.
"It means were going to be living together," Serph said.
"Okay, nice to meet you," Akiza replied.
"Anyways, follow me," said Serph as he started walking.
Akiza followed him. As they walked, Serph pointed out all the buildings he knew, but there were a few that he did not.
"What is that building?" Akiza asked.
"I don't know," Serph replied. "Only Junior Disciples and higher are allowed in."
"What are you?" asked Akiza.
"I'm an Apprentice, just like you," Serph answered. "I got in about two months back."
The two continued walking and eventually they reached the Supplies Office. Akiza received a set of Apprentice Robes, but they were too big for her. It was probably why Serph did not wear them either. She also received a card. It read:
Name: Akiza Kimura
Age: 6
Element: Fire
Rank: Apprentice
Room: X-221
Achievements: -
"Don't lose it," said Serph. "You need it to get into certain buildings."

"Like what?" Akiza asked.
Serph brought her to the Mess Hall. "Food!" shouted Akiza.
"As long as you hold onto that card, you can eat up to 5 times here a day for free," Serph explained.
"Five times?!?" Akiza shouted with surprise as she ran around looking at the food. There were many choices. Noodles, bread, potatoes, and rice. That was even before you considered the meat and vegetable choices. "How is there so much food?!?"
"The West Wind Academy is very rich," said Serph. "Every year, members of the school win numerous tournaments and earn money and status. People who want their children to go to the school give the school a lot of money to get their kids in. The rest of us have to pass a hard test to get in, only about 1 in 100 make it in."
"Wow," said Akiza.
The two got some food and ate. They talked. Akiza learned that Serph's family are farmers. His father was a retired soldier who wanted to do something else. When Serph showed talent, his father decided to send him to West Wind Academy. He also has an older sister, but his mom passed away. Akiza talked about how she lost her parents. The two talked for a while before heading back. Akiza learned that Serph's element was Earth, but he was unsure what Stage he was at, but Akiza felt that he too was at the Spirit Stage. Serph did not have the ability to sense Internal Energy though.
"Let me show you to your room," said Serph.
"Okay," said Akiza as she followed.
They walked towards the X Building. They were labeled on maps throughout the school and with a sign outside the main door. They headed upstairs because 200s were on the second floor. The front of room 221 had two name plates. The first read "Serph." The second read "Akiza."

"We're here," said Serph as he opened the door.
Akiza walked in and was surprised. It was symetrically laid out. Two tables, two beds, two closets, and a rug on the wooden floor.
"So where do you stay?" Akiza asked.
"Right here," said Serph as he jumped on the bed on the far side of the room.
"What?" said Akiza.
"You thought this was just your room?" said Serph. "What did you think roommate meant? We don't all get houses you know."
"I had no idea what it meant," said Akiza.
"Well, now you know," said Serph. "Be ready for classes tomorrow."
Akiza went to sleep as soon as it got dark. It was something she was used to since going outside at night was dangerous in the forest.
"Big sis..." said a voice.
Akiza was awoken to a voice. She rubbed her eyes. It was almost sunrise. There was something on her stomach. It was an arm!
"What are you doing?!?" shouted Akiza as she kicked Serph from her bed.
"Ow!" shouted Serph as he fell off.
