《Rivalry I Live for》Chapter 17. Bullies
Advertisement
As we marched with 4 vanguard groups at the front that had melee weapons like shields, swords, great axes. You name it. A row of polearms or any sort of longer melee ranged weapon was behind as if it was a phalanx formation. Lastly, the ranged together with the healers at the back row… Though I didn’t stand next to my party members, we were separated. Still, everyone marched through the large tunnel covered by shadows as the torches from the players illuminated the eerie place.
I did realise something weird though… None of the npc soldiers was at the front, they were at the back.
Do they not trust us? I find this really suspicious… Something big is going on… Heh, who cares! KILL STEAAAAAL!
Throwing my axes at the incoming enemies that were imps of the demon race. I throw it at the wounded targets to get the rewards. Now that I didn’t have my gigantic bear pauldrons, I kept throwing like a gatling gun from the 20th Century… Experience kept racking in, sharing it with my friends in my party, sadly, I couldn’t loot any, since the vanguard picked everything up… Bastards…
Ah, another wounded target 12o’clock!
“CHOP!” The imp instantly died and the axe instantly vanished.
Actually, to tell the truth, I could easily two shot them but… What’s the fun with that?
A irritated atmosphere could be felt directed everywhere. Pfft… They don’t know who threw it… No one is picking up the axe after all, kekekeke….
Oh another one!
“Chop!”
“STOP KILL STEALING!” Someone yelled, not being able to handle it anymore, but soon after shot his arrow towards a imp that now bled horribly.
“CHOP!”
“Godsake, I will rip the guy who did that later outside if I find out who it is”
Stop I can’t! I am laughing to my death, hahahahaha!
Another arrow flew past the vanguard and hit a imp.
“CHOP!”
“...”
Now a sudden burst of imps appeared from the shadows charging towards us.
Arrows flew from the back row, wounding every target and crippled them to the ground.

“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
“CHOP!”
Yepp, I instantly killed all of them...
A real intense atmosphere could be felt now… Directed towards me… Ops, they found out.
“You!” Someone gripped my scarf… Hopefully not Diamond or he would feel my wrath.
“Stop, do it again and I will take you outside and kill you” A man that I knew was a leader of over 30 players said toward me.
“Huh? Why, my 3 man group can’t get a kill right?” I taunted him.
Technically I didn’t kill steal him, as a expedition party, it doesn’t matter who gets the kill, it is to ensure that everyone survives for the real reason we do the expedition.
“Urgh…” He quietly went back to the row… Well I am not wrong though, this is what happens when you don’t create a raid party with everyone, and instead insist on going with the small party because of greed. Totally not because they hurt my Ishmar-chan… A leader stands by their comrades!
A while before…
“Hey, guys? Can I join any of your raid party?” I said to the leaders of their party inside a tent to discuss the formation.
“No way, why?” Someone said.
“Huh? Because we are a expedition party and larger than 150 players, a raid group helps us keep track of everyone with one leader leading and the sub leaders can help decide if anything goes wrong. If we have a party left out, we can’t utilize every fighting power we have.”
“Pfft, that way we would get less experience” One of them said… And everyone without me nodded… Douche…
“But we didn’t come here for experience, we came here for a quest…” I stated the obvious.
“Heh, you are probably saying that because you only have 3 members in your party right? Afraid to get 0 kills?”
“Uh… No? But adding 3 players won't hurt?” Hey, stop bullying me…
“Of course you are, every leader here have at least over 30 members, you are afraid to get 0 loot and 0 experience. Since all your members are at the back row, and the shared loot can’t be shared if they drop at the front which the vanguard loots” He said

“Besides, what can a archer, heavy magician and a holy assassin do in the back row?”
“What a dead weight to the expedition” He added.
Oh, these kinds of players… Noobs… And how did he know? Did he spy on my group?
“Though, I might invite you to my group, and that cute little girl you have, if you abandon that playerkiller” He said, grinning with a blade resting on his shoulder.
Charlotte? No way...
I see… So that’s the real reason. Ishmar did tell me about this before… Should I leave him? Nah.
“Fine then, I won't join you” I said, and pushed away the curtains of the tent.
“Suit yourself, no loot, no experience for you” He said happily as I walked away.
...
Though, what’s up with the weak imps and enemies? Ah, I can’t wait for what annihilated the npcs…
A while after I was soon level 11 as we set camp inside the Demon’s Den to take a break.
Towards next level (12)9380/95500
Yeah, the amount of imps I killed was a lot… And the ridiculous experience requirements… As expected of games from Asia.
They are probably mad now that a 3 man party whooped their ass.
“Hey you, come with us” A group of players said behind me, as I bathed with the fire of the campfire.
“Why?” I asked.
“Come or we will PK you” He said, angered.
“Pfft here? The soldiers will hunt you down”
“Not with this scroll [Hide red status scroll]” He grinned while showing me the ultimate weapon of PKs… I should ask Ishmar of how the hell they get the scroll at this level…
Pfft, I can still scream right now though… Nah, Gotta find out what they want.
“Right…” I said and stood up. Following them into the darkness inside the depth of the Demon’s Den.
… “Diamond get ready for the worst”
“Roger…”
Now standing far from the camping place away from the soldiers and the other players, I now stood with my back resting on the wall with players surrounding me.
1… 4… 8 players… With their noob gear they must be around level 10, and haven't allocated their stats inefficiently for their classes.
“So, what do you guys want?” I asked.
“Stop kill stealing us, and we will leave your party alone” He said, waving his dagger around…
“And if I don’t?”
“We kill you right now…”
“Is there more PKs like you?” I asked, trying to confirm they are alone.
“Maybe”
… Smart guy… But you are threatening the wrong player.
“Anyways apologize and we…”
“I am sorry” I said immediately and bowed.
“Shit that was quick, on your knees!!”
Quickly I went on my knees and said “I am sorry”
“Where is your pride?” He said angrily…
“Anyways never kill steal us aga...!”
“Please accept my humble apologies!, I will make sure that we don’t killsteal anymore”
“... Are you making fun of us?”
“No, I am seriously and certainly reflection over my actions, please don’t hurt me”
“...”
“I think he is seriously making fun of us” Another guy said…
“No way… Can’t you see my bow of sincerity?”
“No…” They all shook their head left and right…
I stood up and tried to leave…
“Stop”
“Huh? I apologized didn’t I?”
“Kiss my shoe…” He said waving his knife once again.
No way…
“What if I say no?” I pleaded.
“I PK you”
Heh… Quickly I put my arm on the direction his waving knife were about to arrive… I cut myself.
I grinned, “Axe” “grow”
“SMASH!”
The cavern trembled and a life was forever lost in the Demon’s den.
“EK! RUN, he got instantly killed!” They scattered back tack to the camp… Meh…
Looting the red status body that started to be covered in crystal of frost, like the Yeti, I quickly took everything and the scrolls… It will come in handy.
But… 16 silvers and 14 copper? Poor guy…
Amount of Money leftTotal: 3 Gold, 10 Silver, 25 Copper
And then his body turned into a dust of snow… In a cavern at the middle of nowhere… At least they wont find a body here.
I walked back to the camp.
