The flight had not taken long and we didn't talk much on the way.
This would mostly be annoying, I could already tell.
After getting out at the airport Viktor was handed keys by someone from the military and we kept going by car.
I've never been to New York. Or any other big city as such.
But I never understood why people liked this particular area. To me everything seemed so plastic, so over the top.
During our short drive I noticed too many things I didn't like.
Sure I love my nutrition so I was excited to see all the fast food restaurants and diners. But it all seemed so crammed. Hundreds of people walking on the street and blocking all paths.
It would probably be perfect to dive into the crowd to hide from sight. Didn't like it.
All the main roads seemed in good shape but looking through the paths leading away from the main street unveiled the sad truth. New York was a dump. Homeless slept in the alleyways, people threw their junk on the sidewalk and the everything had a corrupt feeling to it.
All in all I knew that together with Viktor it would not be a nice partnership in this city.
It wasn't really a house we lived in. It was more of an entire top floor of a skyscraper. Too many rooms for just the two of us, too many windows.
I felt uncomfortable the moment I stepped into my bedroom.
"You'll get used to it" was the only thing Viktor said to that matter.
Che.
Fine. The other rooms were mostly rooms for living. Nothing to perfectly train with, nothing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
When I had found out about it I had been pissed. After confronting Viktor with that matter he had simply shown me one room in the middle of the floor. It was quite small and had the same setup as the one in our school.
"If you want to train do it in here. Although don't do anything to harsh or it'll break."
The first few days went by in a flash. He said I wasn't allowed to leave the building because of... REASONS.
I was bored beyond reason. All I could do was train and not even that in my normal way because I knew Viktor would notice anything I did inside of that room.
Talking to him was also not a good plan. Apparently to keep his identity secret he had to always make paperwork beforehand so he could act freely for a few days.
I felt like a small child getting ignored by its parents while it really wanted to spend time with them.
The only nice thing was that I could make my own food whenever I wanted. Down sight of that sadly that Viktor could apparently smell food from a mile away and always seemed to show up whenever I made something.

After two days he got used to eat my food...
What am I? Some kind of housewife?
After one week of boredom he finally came up to me and told me that him, Lane and some of his contacts had found something out. A few miles out of New York city they had found an esper hiding in a school. How they gathered that information? No clue. Did I care? No, not at all.
Basically what he wanted me to do was go there and ask the person in question about possible plans. It basically meant I could do whatever I wanted as long as the information was gathered.
I would probably be monitored by something. It would be my first mission as such.
Though it was really confusing that Viktor did not personally accompanied me.
I had almost laughed at the set up. It was the exact same as it had been with me and my old school.
I hardened my resolve. This was probably a test. I wouldn't be able to help the kid in question. Not wanting to endanger the trust I had build up for one measly child I prepared to ruin someone's life forever.
Getting there had been easy. Viktor had told me I could handle the situation in any way I wanted. Some preferred to take it slow and infiltrate the school like Lane had with mine.
Others... yeah, others would just crush the front door and beat the living shit out of the esper hiding.
I decided to simply capture the student in question and ask him some questions.
I had been given the keys to one of the cars in the garage. With the parking lot being mostly for teachers I had had no other choice but to leave it some way off and walk the rest of the way.
I was actually wearing a police uniform with gun and everything. Wanting to fool the other people I had put on a lot of make-up to make it look as if I was way older. Also wearing a wig. Though this was mostly to fool Viktor. I could change my appearance slightly with my primary power. But since this was probably being monitored I did not want to take any risks.
Walking through the front entrance as if I was born for it I went straight for the secretariat.
What most people did not know is that if you act like you're allowed to do special things then almost nobody will stop you since they don't think anyone would have the audacity to actually do this.
I walk up to the counter and wait for one of the women and men working on the other side to notice me. after a few minutes one of the women looks up and walks towards me.
"Hello there, how may I help you?"
Let the act begin.
I pull out a fake police badge that surprisingly everyone in the Raiders possessed. Viktor had said it always came in handy if the other side thought you where one of trusted guards of the city.
"Hello, I'm Officer Frost. I'm here for a certain student named Reinar Brehm. Something happened with his parents and sadly we need to take him with us."

The woman's eyes widen in shock.
"Oh no, I will lead you to his classroom immediately. May I ask what happened exactly?"
"I'm sorry ma'm but it is a running investigation, meaning I am not allowed to disclose any information."
Leading the way the both of us reach his classroom quite quickly. I motion her to step aside and knock on the door.
The talking inside stops for a second then a young man opens the door.
Probably the teacher.
"Oh hello Officer, hi Mary, what can I do for you?"
The woman, Mary makes a slight bow and steps away.
"Hello mister, is this the classroom of Reinar Brehm? I need to have a talk with him if possible. He can takes his things with him."
He turns a little bit pale.
"Of course, I hope he did not do anything wrong he seems like a nice child."
Yeah. Heard that before. But the defenders of humanity don't care.
I sneer while he went back into the classroom and motions someone to get outside.
"Hey Reinar. Take your stuff, there is someone that would like to talk to you."
Shortly after a tall slightly bulky 16 year old boy with short blond hair steps out of the class. He's taller than me. After noticing me his eyes change to a look of fear.
"Hell...Hello Officer. Can I help you with something?"
Haaaa the respect given to this uniform is certainly refreshing.
"That depends" I smile at him.
"Don't worry about it, I simply have some questions directed at you. Nothing more. Now if you would follow me."
I motion him to walk in front of me. He seems quite scared but that is to be expected.
In silence the both of us walk outside onto the empty parking lot. Cars being our only watchers. Luckily the sun was shining bright so most of the shutters where brought down.
I turn around to Reinar and muster him.
"Well that's far enough for now. There is only one question I would like to ask you. Maybe you can guess what it is?"
His anxiety reaches a new level as his eyes widen. He takes a few steps back and lifts his fists.
He knows.
"You are not from the police..."
It sounded more like a question than a statement.
"Sorry but I'll have to take you in."
and then I spouted a sentence that almost made me puke.
"It is too dangerous to let you stay at school like this. Espers shouldn't simply be allowed to hide in schools"
DISGUSTING
"Are espers filth to you?!" he started shouting. Seems like he has no intention to run.
"Are we that despicable?"
I think my facial expression just now had been not the best and he had absolutely misunderstood it.
I turn my disgust into a blank face.
"You don't know who I am. I'm sorry but you will have to be the first sacrifice on the way to my goal. Don't fight me, you'll lose. Just come with me and let the superiors judge if you harbor no evil intentions."
"And what if I am considered evil from your standpoint? What then? And what about my family and my friends?"
... the same as us.
I didn't care. I had steeled myself for theses kind of situations.
"It does not matter. Surrender now or get caught fighting. Only the second will hurt and you don't want that."
His eyes narrow down to small slashes.
"You know nothing woman. NOTHING."
With that the talking ended.
Needing to narrow down his movement I extend my power towards the entirety of the parking lot. I still didn't know what kind of power he had...
Yeah, probably not the best kind of preparation to be honest. I really need to work on that arrogance of mine.
I slowly increase the pressure on him to weaken him. At first he seems a bit surprised but he quickly recovers and throws his backpack away. Then he breathes out and smoke comes out of his mouth.
It slowly envelopes his entire body dyeing his muscles in a grey white substance.
Che I was too fascinated by the whole process. Letting him finish was probably a mistake.
His face too is now covered by a thick layer of grey plates.
Ha...ha... after preparing what seemed to be his armor he charges at me with battle cry.
He was fast. Too fast to easily attach black matter to him and slow him down that way. So I just increased the weight of everything on the parking lot. I didn't care about destruction I would capture this boy and show my "loyalty" to the Raiders.
Car roofs invert down and break the windows. Alarms go off in dozens and the screeching sound of bending metal surrounds us.
But he doesn't stop.
GROOOAAAA
Just before he can hit me I jump to the side barely avoiding him. While he passes me I punch him into the side on one of the plates covering his body. After John and the others had proven my armor to be defect I had no other choice but to leave that for another time so I hadn't thought of using it in this fight.
My bare fist hits Reinar's side but the only reaction I get is an annoyed groan and a slight change of path.
Then we've passed each other. Ready to strike again I turn around quickly to face another one of his charges...
I had not been his goal...
Seeing him running in the distance I realized that he had wanted to flee from the very beginning.

Shadow under Plato
King’s College has a reputation. To Leo, the sharp but cynical rebel, it is a place where the people he cares about are sentenced to a fate worse than death—to live the rest of their days on the surface of a dying Earth. To Morgan, the bright and strict overachiever, it is a vault in which she may find her dreams. And for the brightest six students of King’s College, even greater opportunities reside in the legendary Class Euripides; a class which she will fight for a seat at with all her wits and will. And to Lumia, the newly Ascended girl whose smile never fades, King’s College is a terrifying puzzle just like everything else in the floating city of Plato, the last bastion of humanity. As the class of 311 commences a grueling year of study and elaborately devious tests, none of the bright-eyed students could have anticipated the weight of expectation laid upon their shoulders. After all, a student’s hopes and dreams mean little in the fight against an ever-collapsing climate. For the Educators of King’s College offer only one lesson to their future students, to the future of a dying world: Burn bright.

Re: (Union//Incarnation)
Two years ago, a meteor fell and decimated the southeastern lands of Gaia, turning them into wastelands constantly shrouded in white fog. None of those who saw the blazing calamity with their own eyes lived to tell the tale, and those who attempted to venture in never came back. Since then, towers, caverns, and ruins have appeared and disappeared without a pattern. Those who were brave enough to venture in were rewarded with a partner capable of defying the natural laws as humanity knows it. People started to call them ‘Incarnation’, and before long, more and more Incarnation were gathered and sold as commodity, especially after a billionaire has sponsored a fighting tournament offering cash prizes to those possessing the strongest Incarnation, spurring the greedy and desperate to hunt for the fabled creatures at the cost of their lives. Claire Saphira wanted none of that. She simply wished for a life where she could live without worry of her own survival. As she ran from the debt collectors for the umpteenth time, she was swallowed by an errant tower, where she saw a frail, pale-skinned girl with ashen hair hung by chains. It was a chance, a chance to participate in the tournament and live without worrying about survival. Yet, something nagged in the back of her mind. Why did she look so familiar? Planned release schedule: One chapter every day for Mon-Fri, and a break on Sat-Sun. The release will slow down at some point, but most likely won't go under 3 chapters a week.

UNSPOKEN
Unspoken is a book filled with poems and songs I've made throughout my life. Each chapter will be either a song or poem. They are similar to what many of you have experienced in life... featuring love, heartbreak, loneliness, etc. These are all the emotions I was never able to let out so I chose to write them out on paper.
