Today's chapter is kinda late, I was out with a friend and she wanted to go eat something so it took a bit longer.
Enjoy todays chapter ^^

I spend the rest of the day preparing for tomorrow and training. Being quite happy with getting out of here I didn't even think about all the suspicious things I had witnessed during the past two days.
I really needed to step up my game to be able to manage my plan. Still, for my revenge I still didn't have nearly enough things to break Lane with. Right now the only friends I knew she had where some people from the other teams.
And of course her father.
The thought of her losing her parent and not being able to do anything about it made me smile.
But that was only one aspect of my revenge. Sadly my plans where soiled a bit by the unexpected behavior of John and Karif.
Planning and preparing I went to bed anxious, not knowing if the other's had plans I didn't know either.
Today was the day.
Today I would meet the last member of the third team. .
Sadly nobody seemed to have any information about this guy. Either that or they didn't want to say anything.
The other five had no clue. Mikael didn't even seem to care.
All of them kept going with their normal life.
We've all been gathered in section 1. To be precise in front of a landing pad for helicopters.
I have no clue how they explained an student esper coming here.
"He's coming"
Turning around to Lane I can see her motioning towards the sky.
No clouds obstruct my view so it's easy to spot what seems to be a transport chopper.
It's huge and heads for our location.
Wind pressure from the rotor blades throws everyone's hair around as it gets lower.
It touches down on the pad and the side doors open.
Accompanied by four armed soldiers a small man gets out.
He's wearing a air force uniform. Long dark red hair is being held back into a pony tail behind his head.
Looking around disinterested he musters every one of us, then stops at Lane.
"Lane!"
I flinch at the sudden noise. Not wasting another view on us he charges towards Lane and hugs her.
"Man I've missed you, how are you doing cousin? How's uncle and the rest feeling?"
Another family member? Interesting.
"Dad's fine. He still has a lot to do. Let's move on to somewhere private shall we?"
The man nods and waves his guards off.
Not saying a word the six of us follow the two cousins to the school grounds and into one of the safer rooms to talk in.
After we've all settled down a bit Lane points towards the air force officer.
"This everyone, is . His full name is Viktor Polinsk. He's the son of my father's brother, also he's one of the founding members of the Raiders. Alex? You'll be teaming up with him.
All of you packed your things yesterday I hope. You'll all be flying to your destinations in around two hours. There won't be any time to get to know each other, all you need to know is that I trust him and so should you."
Yeah, we had expected as much. Everyone is looking at Viktor with distrust, probably because of his uniform but they all quickly get out of the room to organize the last few things for their trip.

After Lane leaves the only ones that remain are me and my new partner.
He looks at me and examines me.
"You look strong but your movement is too sloppy."
I'm confused...
"I'm sorry, come again?"
"I mean you don't seem like you're practicing any martial arts or anything. From what I read in the records you seem to be an non physical type with gravity control. You do seem to train to build up muscle but you should also practice combat to be honest. Otherwise you could be defeated too quickly."
Calm down Alex... It'll be fine.
"My power has advanced far enough for me to still have defensive measures even IF someone gets into close proximity of me." I simply answer him "I can defend myself just fine with what I have."
"As you say. You know what we'll be doing in New York? I mean Lane should have told you everything about what we do right?"
He meant our missions and what we should do.
"Yes she has. We have to supervise esper activity in that area."
"Good good. I hope you know what this means right? New York is a hotspot for espers. Especially for ones that are up to no good. We'll literary take up the fight at the front while the others will sneak around schools sniffing out hiding espers. Lane likes to do these kind of things because she thinks she can get 'em to our side. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't"
"What does that mean we'll be at the front?"
"hmm? You don't get it? What I mean is that we will actually fight more espers than the others. I think Lane paired you up with me because we can help each other quite a bit during fights. But that will come later. You packed your bags already?"
Che of course, what did he think.
"Yes I did, how are we going to get from Laconia? By plane or other means?"
"Don't worry about it, we're in New Hampshire, it's actually just a five hour drive from here to New York City. But we'll still go by plane. We've got a private jet taking us there."
Private jet? What is this?
"When will we be going?"
"Honestly? Whenever you're ready. Your stuff is probably getting carried away as we speak. Lane send some people into everyone's room. Just go to runway 2. I'll be there don't take too long though. And by the way, officially I will be monitoring you, as such you'll be my apprentice on paper, just so you know"
che. Fine but if they touch even one of my older pictures I will kill these people.
"I only have one thing to do. We can probably leave in around 1 hour."
"As you want. See you later."
With that he gets up and leaves the room.
Very well. Part one of my plan will start today.
Revenge on the family.
I too go outside again and quickly move towards section 1 again.
There I move into one of the office buildings that are mostly used for logistic issues and high ranking officers.
Inside the entrance hall I ask one of the men standing in front of a small counter.
"I'm sorry, but could you tell a certain Captain Ithild that there is a student that would like to speak to her?"

Mustering me the man simply asks me
"And why is that? Captain Ithild is not someone that should be disturbed by a simple schoolgirl."
Silently I show him the ID marking me as at least a special case. Although he should've known this already simply from me being inside of the building.
"It is something important. Just please tell her this that Alex Mercer has some information for her."
He simply sights.
"Very well, I will contact her."
He takes up a phone next to him and dials a number. After that he talks to someone on the other line.
"Yes Ma'm this is Hunter from the office department. I have a certain Miss Mercer here telling me that she wants to meet you."
"Will do ma'm."
He puts the phone down and motions me to follow him.
"I'll bring you to a room. You might have to wait a bit but The captain will be there shortly."
Apparently the superiors word is everything as always.
Without wasting another look on me he simply leads me through a couple corridors and finally shows me into a quite spacious room with a small table and a few chairs.
"Wait here. She'll come don't worry."
With that he leaves me alone to wait. Not that I care really.
If not for meeting the captain I would've started my revenge in another way.
I would simply point her into a certain direction so she could figure the rest out by herself.
And since she was probably quite a high rank it would be even better.
A smile spreads over my face. Not a gentle one, not a happy one, simply an evil one.
After waiting around 5 minutes the door opens and the one I've waited for comes in. Wearing a long sleeved shirt and long trousers she hides the augmentations that had been made on her. Though not all of it as she isn't wearing any gloves.
"I didn't think we'd be seeing each other so soon already. Did you want to join the military? Or why are you here? Hunter said something about information."
Time to start the avalanche.
"I've already joined the military, I'll be working under Viktor Polinsk. But I have other information for you. But first a question? Are you ambitious captain?"
She looks at me slightly confused
"Of course I am, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today. Viktor hmm that esper is hard to read, but he's a good soldier you'll learn a lot from him."
Then her eyes grow cold.
"Though what information are you talking about? You should probably quickly tell me as I don't have a lot of time."
kukukuku
seems she really is ambitious.
"What if I told you that the Headmaster Polinsk was messing with data of the espers in the school? Would that be classified as interesting information?"
Her eyes widen in shock now, then anger.
"Don't spout nonsense GIRL. General Polinsk is a highly respected individual that has served this country during The Event. You should not undermine his authority while you are in his school."
Che it could be hard but I'll still do it.
"He is too respected. What if I told you that he leaked information to the group called the Raiders?"
CRACK
Flinching back I almost fall off my chair as she hits the table in front of me and breaks it.
"YOU DARE?!?! Do not accuse someone of treason like this."
She's wavering I can feel it. That outbreak is something I can use.
"It is fine if you do not believe me. I only want what's best for the United States. Think about it Captain Ithild. Who would have all the information that could be of use to the Raiders. Who could tell them where they can find new recruits, who could tell them where HALO is heading and where their members are?"
Doubt shows in her eyes as she looks up to me.
Yep I've got her now.
"I do not believe you girl. All I know is that you have the name of some unusual people. That is why I was interested in you. Are your parents by any chance called Sophie and Marcus Mercer?"
FUCK
This time it's my turn to flinch but I can talk myself out of this one.
"My parents died during an attack of the Raiders. That is the reason I want revenge on them. I believe strongly that the headmaster has something to do with this. Viktor Polinsk sadly will not wait for me forever. So this is all I can tell you."
She musters me with doubt in her eyes.
"You are definitely hiding something girl but the hate you just showed was genuine. I will investigate this. But do not expect to gain anything from this if you are right. I'm not going to tell anyone I got this information from a teenage girl."
That would be awesome.
"I do not want any fame, I simply want revenge. If you can eliminate the headmaster it will disrupt the Raiders flow of information. That is all I want and now I need to go, my superior is waiting for me."
With that I stand up and move towards the door.
The Captain extends her hand towards me and holds me back with an iron grip.
She looks into my eyes searching for something. After a few seconds she lets go.
"Go. If you are right I will support you during your military career. But if you are wrong, do not think that anything can protect you from the anti esper squadron. You would need to flee from earth altogether to escape our reach. Now go. Take this. I will contact you if you were right."
With that she throws me a small mobile phone.
"I planned to give this to you because I thought you were going to join us. It seems it will still be of some use."
I nod to her and leave the room.
The first seed was sown. The military doesn't keep to kindly with traitors. I'm making one big bet though. I'm putting everything on the love the headmaster has for his daughter. From what I had gathered he would never abandon her and so it had a high possibility that he would take the blame himself and hide everything of his daughters interference.
hmmhmhm
Moving towards the runway my smile gets mad.
"Well done Alex, well done. Friends and family shall disappear. Allies will perish. And most of all, hope will vanish."
Kuhaha

The Traveller from Afar
Lucas didn't know what he wanted, but it certainly wasn’t to get dragged into the middle of a another world. Too bad for him the universe had different plans and now he has to deal with the consequences of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. At least it isn't all bad, he gets to finally make use of those cooking lessons he was dragged into. Chapters 1-4 are kind of like a prologue, they are self contained and only give some background information for the rest of the story.*********This is my first attempt trying to write any type of longer form story so I have no idea if any thing I produce will be readable, I've tried to make sure I have a decent level of grammar and there are no spelling mistakes, but if you do find any please let me know. I am also from the home of tea and crumpets (the uk) so if there are some u's and s's your not used to seeing thats probably it. Uh I dont really know what else to put in a story description so just give it a shot and let me know what you think, any pointers would be greatly appeciated.

The Princess And Her Warmonger
"Let me tell you a true story about a mouse and a Warmonger, and the unlikely relationship that sprouted between them in the time of endless war." Nostalisk is a world in endless constant war. The Factions of this world endlessly fight for power, this fighting called the Great Wars, a war that has been alive for over four million years. Currently, one of the largest Factions has withdrawn from the endless fighting. This Faction, known as the Kingdom, hopes to forget their past of endless bloodshed and how they were almost destroyed because of it. In the Kingdom, Princess Isalene, the only princess of the Kingdom, is stuck choosing a new personal guard after her previous one died. Despite her father, King Robert, helping her choose a new guard, Isalene decides to head to the arena to see how the knights on the list her father gave her act outside of the eyes of royals. When she arrives at the arena, she sees a knight fighting that is not on the list her father gave her. Named Cruel Knight, this knight is a vicious knight with confusing morals. Despite hating violence, Princess Isalene can't help but be drawn to the knight and their graceful yet cruel fighting style and strange weapons. Princess Isalene continues to watch them and soon learns that Cruel Knight is a Warmonger named Sharia, and is female at that, meaning she is a prisoner. She isn't in there for something simple as disobeying a direct order or killing a noble, but for prolonging a war. Despite knowing this, Princess Isalene can't stop thinking about the Warmonger and suddenly gets a "smart" idea. She'll make Sharia her new personal guard to find out more about her! What could go wrong? And so begins the odd relationship between Sharia The Warmonger and Princess Isalene. One is a peace-loving sheltered naive princess who hates violence and the other is a vicious, cold, twisted, and cruel Warmonger who hates the kind of peace Isalene and the current Kingdom loves. Polar opposites. Yet, even the Warmonger can't help but grow a strange liking to her new "annoyance". But, can the two really get along? After all, Sharia's whole mindset sees Isalene as a waste, and it seems that everyone Isalene talks to tells her to fire Sharia before something terrible happens. But, then again, during this time of budding danger, this odd couple may be what the Kingdom needs. After all, when a large faction such as the Kingdom starts growing soft and weak, they become a rather irresistible target. [After thinking on it, I decided to start a re-write of The Princess And Her Warmonger, adding more details, fixing the switching POVs somewhat, and fixing some of the issues with the story. Don't worry, all of the chapters are still here, I am just making new ones and replacing the old chapters one at a time] (This story can also be found on Scribble Hub and Webnovel) [Cover art is not mine]
