Small edit:
I have to thank everyone again. I was bored so I looked up the Rating on my Story, we're in the top 1000.
To be honest I didn't expect that to happen. But I'm really happy that so many people are reading this.
As such thanks to all of you and enjoy.

I can't meditate.
These idiots are too loud.
At first they had simply sparred a bit with each other. During that session they simply threw normal punches and kicks at each other. I actually had thought that that had been it.
But I was wrong, after five minutes John had stopped for a moment and taken out his headphones.
To be honest I was interested to see both of them fight for a bit so I stayed.
At that moment I realized I shouldn't have done that.
The exact frame when John had started his music Vel decided to jump through space. John on the other hand had somehow predicted this and easily blocked Velvets kick that had aimed for his head.
Although he jumped again before John could grab him. John turned to the spot Vel appeared at instantly and rushed forward.
As far as I know Vel has a short cool down time on his jumps. He once told me that he could jump up to three times at once, but if he did that he would have to wait three seconds before he could perform one jump again. And all that was if he knew the exact location he would jump to.
John knew this and hammered away on him while using his fists and legs to attack him at weird intervals.
Like said before he used the timing of his music to speed, strengthen or otherwise change his body's function.
Looking at the fight I was amused. It was a good way to figure out ways to beat them. Although I had infected them with my DNA I still did not know if I could kill them fast enough just by using that.
I could see the times John would speed up a lot while fighting but he did not keep that speed for long. It almost seemed as if his current song had short part where it went extremely fast.
But whenever that happened Vel just jumped ten feet away and "charged" his power.
Vel looked at John with a smug smile. He then simply crossed the distance between them with one usage or his power.
Reappearing behind John about six feet in the air he kicked at John's face. This time it connected and had the other boy stumbling back to regain his balance. Sadly Vel did not give him time to do that and jumped behind his adversary again, this time aiming for the back of his knees.

Still off balance from the kick to the head John tried to jump over Velvets attack. But the black haired boy had foreseen this and simply followed behind him with his leg. Completely unable to dodge he was hit and fell backwards onto the ground.
Before he could react Velvet had already jumped above him and used the downward momentum of his fall to speed up his own punch that aimed at John's stomach.
It certainly looked like Velvets win but before his fist could connect an extremely loud sound could be heard.
BOOM
It sounded like an explosion and it came from in between John and Vel.
I don't know what happened as I had actually blinked and missed it. But when I looked back at them Velvet was leaning against the other side of the wall and a dent showed where he had hit the wall with strong speed.
John on the other hand stood up and dusted himself off as if nothing had just happened.
"Jeeesh, Vel you've become strong enough to force me to use that to defend myself. Well since we both really can't go all out it's not that easy to judge each other anymore."
Smiling he looks at Velvet who just answers with a groan and coughs out a little bit of blood.
"Is he alright?" I ask towards John who seems to notice me for the first time again.
"Oh Alex, you're still here. Don't worry about him, he'll go to the doc to get fixed up. What about you? Hmmm, want to spar a bit?"
Just after he asked me Velvet disappears and jumps to the door. There he simply nods at me and stumbles outside. Yeah, he'll probably just jump to the doctor.
Spar?
Hmm, I've fought against them in the past but not during the last few weeks.
I just was never in the mood to fight the same people over and over again. But after seeing what he did to Velvet a few seconds before I'm actually quite interested in what it had been.
I tilt my head and look at him.
"Why not. I haven't fought you guys in a while."
With that I stand up and position me parallel from where he was standing.
"Any rules I'm supposed to know? Otherwise I will come at you with whatever I have."
In our normal spars I had come out victorious but seeing that he still had at least one ace in the hole I wasn't so sure about my victory anymore.
"Well, me and Vel normally agreed on no instant kills. Aside from that we try not to seriously kill each other. Otherwise it could get really bad if we actually sparred with Rachel. She actually is really freaking strong. But I like strong women."

I didn't swallow his bait.
About instant kills. We started to call techniques that could end someone's life instantly, as the name of course suggested that.
Velvet could do this with almost any item he could find. He would just teleport something of greater mass inside of his enemies body. If done at the right angle it could destroy them.
I had some too of course, the most basic consisting in simply increasing the gravity around me by a hundredfold.
If my enemy did not have a strong body they would get squashed instantly.
Ignoring his last sentence I get into a ready stance.
"Ok then, to be honest I'm really interested in how you beat Velvet just then. It really looked as if he was going to beat you there."
He just smirks at me and puts his headphones back on and gets ready to react at whatever I'm about to do.
Different to Velvet and the others I do not practice any martial arts. It could be called lazy on my side but until now I had been able to keep up with my sparring partners simply because of my indirect training through gravity. And even if they still were faster, I could still slow them down enough by increasing their own weight.
In that aspect I was more similar to Karif who also relied on his powers to keep him safe and we both did not think that we would often be thrown into hand to hand combat.
Let us just say we both had our ways to defend if we actually had to resort to that kind of fighting.
Not moving an inch both of us waited for the other person to start attacking.
I didn't know how exactly to attack him though. I didn't have any objects I could manipulate on me right now. Well, aside from my clothes and I most certainly would not do that with him in the same room.
Che, seems like I actually have to fight in close combat with him.
Well, at least I have my armor "on" right now. With that I lift every pull on my body.
My body feels ecstatic since it feels as if I had just let go of world that had rested on my shoulders.
"Let's go then John."
I don't want to experience the same thing that Vel had so I slowly walk forward and wait for his reaction.
One step, two steps, three steps. Still no reaction, he simply followed me with his eyes.
Che, I never had a lot of patience anyways.
Ignoring the fact that he could probably defend himself I just leap forward. I do have confidence in my speed anyways.
Time extends as my whole body speeds up and I fly towards the boy in front of me.
Yep, I definitely surprised him.
I smile as his eyes widen in shock. I extend my hand to grab his head in the same fashion I had while fighting against Lane one year ago.
GOTCHA
I close my hand. And feel nothing.
BOOOM
I stumble forward and roll on the floor to handle my own momentum.
That sound. It was the same sound I had heard when he had knocked Velvet out.
"That surprised me"
this time it was me to look shocked as I heard Johns voice behind me.
I turn around and jump back until my back touches the wall.
There he is. John looks at me innocently.
"What was that sound!?!?!"
"Everybody has his secrets. If you can actually beat me I'll tell you mine."
That being said he disappears.
BOOM
Che, I react and jump to the side. I can feel something barely miss my neck. Landing on one knee I face the direction of the punch. But nobody is there.
BOOM
John appears directly in front of me, without thinking I increase my own body weight by one ton since I can't dodge anymore. It's just a measure to decrease the impact and so I don't get blown back.
He pulls back his fist and punches towards my stomach.
But I still have my trump card. My armo-
BOOOOOM
ow.
That hurt.
A lot.
I look around disorientated. I had made a pretty big dent into the wall behind me.
Wait. I look towards John who massages his fist.
He had bypassed my armor. How did he do that?
My eyes grow cold.
"What was that John?"
Does he know the secret to black matter? But if yes why didn't he tell anyone?
I think the air around me changed because John takes one step backwards.
"Hey Alex, chill. My hand hurts like hell, how are you even standing? What is that body of yours made of?"
I don't know what to say to him. He actually seems clueless about what he had just done.
Theoretically flesh could be torn apart when touching my armor. But his hand didn't. In fact he didn't even receive a single scratch. It was not something he should be able to do.
"Who are you John? Who are you really?"
