《Ah, here we go again!》Chapter 5

Sometime had passed, and I found a good place to build my makeshift shelter, I think. Using a thick like spear as a shovel, I digged through the soil around the tree around 3-4 inches deep, enough to level the ground, then lean the fallen long branches I could find forming a triangular makeshift shelter, found some dried leaves and filled the ground I just dug with them. "hue hue!, have I ever mentioned Bear Grylls is my middle name!, stranded in unknown forest easy, building a shelter easy peazy!"
A few hours at midnight, "co-co-cold! why is the ground so damn cold!" The shelter is slowly crumbing due to strong wind. I didn't have rope to keep them in place to begin with, fuck!
Morning came, I woke up and found my shelter turned into a blanket, if I were a normal human being I would be in serious trouble, but it seems like Orkling body is a bit sturdier than I thought. I barely felt any pain or anything when the shelter collapsed on me. Shoved the blanket aside and thought about what I should do today.
"First, I need to learn how to make a fire, then look for any source of water. as for food, I can't eat fruits, berries and herbs they could be poisonus, well if there is water then there is life, I could just hunt. AS IF! I couldn't even kill a chicken once I saw a cat, got hit by a car and puked like a baby, also I should check my personal info now that I have time especially my Class skills I could base my today's plan on it."
Name:Lokie Strain Race: Orkling
Class: Orkling Brute
Basic Stats: Str 15 Agi 8 Con 12 Int 5
Race Traits: Strong Muscles, Aggressive Instinct, Me no Dum Dum, Disciplined Constitution, Clumsy Hands
Class Traits: Orkling Strength Enhancement(Tier 1), Orkling Constitution Enhancement(Tier 1), Orkling Regeneration(Tier 1), Path to Raw Power(Tier 2)
Class Active Skill: Power Strike(Tier 1), Condense Muscle(Tier 1), Fool's Roar( Tier 1), Fool's Charge(Tier 1)
"hoh!, I got some cool looking skills, I wonder what's their use?. Now, what does these skills do. Strong Mucles!, ........., nothing?, hmmm, Strong Mucles with feelings!, nothing again." I guess I should focus on the words in my mind. 'Strong Mucles', " Nothing even when I thought of the skill, this is odd" 'Orkling Race Trait Strong Mucles', " ah There we go, It finally worked so I just have to be more specific, wierd but ok. now then let's see."

Orkling Race Trait Strong Muscles:Passively exert more strength from your muscles. Increases power output when muscle strength is used in any activity by 20%.
"Noice, tsk tsk, so everytime I do something I ended up using more power, no wonder I broke alot of shovel stick when I was digging, this body has no chill on the bright side I just need to hit hard, very hard!.'
'Orkling Race Trait Aggressive Instinct'
Orkling Race Trait Aggressive Instinct: Due to the race's proneness to violence and lack of wisdom, the race's developed a natural instinctive for combat. During battle state, the holder has a 3% chance to proc in increasing 200% reaction time for a split second and is 77% more likely to resort most conflict in violence.
"Now these guys really really need to chill, last time I manage to hide behind the trees but I didnt had those urges to come out and fight to the death what ever that beast was, hmm. Why is that?. 3% procs for a 200% reaction speed, so this is Super Instinct! Noice! and also not Noice! I guess I won't be seeing this 3% anytime soon."
'Orkling Race Trait Me no Dum Dum, Disciplined Constitution and Clumsy Hands.
Me no DUM DUM: Strong and tall, they may be, boy, they're stupid as fuck. 70% more chances of these types of spells: Illusion Magic, Mind Control Magic, Hypnosis Magic but greatly reduces the spell's duration by 50%, chances of permanent effect are reduced by 95%, and higher tier spells increase chance of permanent effect. System Note: too stupid to be under the spell's infulence.
Disciplined Constitution: Generation after generation of being experts at getting themselves into all sorts of trouble and dying, the race's remaining two brain cells teamed up, and developed and mutated a constitution skill. 50% reduction of infection from flesh wound, for 5mins the body can exert all its maximum battle potental. The body needs less water and food to fully reach perfect condition. Developed a medium immunity against Tier 1 Poisons.
Clumsy Hands: twice the effort 1/8 the effect regarding crafting. No words can be described as to how your race survived up to this point.
"Wow, what's with the passive aggressive remarks, they aren't that bad, after all they still exist throughout this day, and damn they were right about the race's crafting ability thankfully I didnt choose soldier class now that I can't find any type of auxiliary weapons, except for rocks as for sharpening woods to turn into spear I ended up splitting them in half. Sigh!, What can you do. now what about the other skills, hmm?."

Strength Enhancement: Provides additional force when exerting strength. Bonus force is 1% per Str (30% max). Additional 50 Stamina bar.
Constitution Enhancement: Provides extra damage resistance when receiving physical blows. Bonus Resistance is 1% per Con (30% max). Additional 30 Fatigue bar.
Regeneration: Increase cell's reproduction on the wounded area. 5% increase in Regeneration. consumes 0.1 fatigue per min when injured.
Path to Raw Power: Increases the skill holder's potential in purse of raw power; enhances the skill holder's understanding of raw power; has the potential to surpass the skill holder's racial raw strength capacity by up to 10%. 5% chance to completely negate Stamina or Fatigue costs when using skills.
"This is some ass kicking passive traits, Stamina and Fatuige huh, the consumption of fatuige in my Regeneration trait tells me those two are like mana from those games I had played before, this is interesting, how does the stamina and fatuige work then?
'Stamina bar' Stamina points or bars, are the energy used when executing any sort of physical activity; one is Physical Skills. Stamina is also consumed when casting magic, but at a lesser proportion compared to physical activities. Casting physical skills with insufficient stamina causes one to pass out. Stamina consumption when casting all sorts of skills can be reduced by increasing one's mastery with the said skills. Stamina capacity is dependent on each race; some had it more; some had it less, although most cases are like that; there are a lot of ways to increase one's maximum stamina capacity such as Class Traits, Herbs, Bloodlines, Potions and many more.
"Damn, passing out when I ran out of stamina? I hope it's only when casting skill, oh well, let's check Fatuige"
'Fatuige bar' Fatigue Points or bar, is another form of energy consumed when executing all active skills, be it magic or physical skills. skills can still be casted with insufficient Fatigue bar but will weaken maximum damage output of the skill, when using physical Skills or activities, the holder can choose to reduce Fatigue consumption but must have high mastery and control of their skills to do so. When Fatigue bar is at 5% from its maximum capacity, the user will enter a debuff, weakened state. Fatigue capacity is also dependent on one's racial traits, and has many ways to increase one's maximum capacity.
Weakened State debuff effects: Reduces strength, concentration, reaction time, movement speed, and casting speed by 50% until Fatigue restores more than 5% of total capacity.
"weakend state huh, shesh so many things to watch out for, your already making sure not to get hacked by blades and now you have to also watch out for your condition, this is going to be a pain in the ass. What can you do."
Power Strike: For a moment, increase your damage dealt by 2 times. Costs 30 stamina, 40 fatigue.
Condense Muscle: For a brief moment condense the muscles on your body to reduce physical impact on the skill holder. 10 stamina, 20 fatigue.
Fool's Roar: Releasing the Glorious war cry at the expense of almost destroying their vocal cords. Causing affected targets to be immobilized for a brief second. 10 stamina 60 fatigue.
Side Effects: voice cord fatigue, soar throat, itchy throat, may sound like Cardi B. advised to use moderately. Unable to use your voice will cause the skill to be locked.
Fool's Charge: charging with total disregard to well-being's safety. A successful tackle will damage the enemy's internal organs, and immobilize them for a brief second. 40 stamina 60 fatigue.
Side Effects: A failed tackle will result in a skill's effect on you instead.
"The former two skills seems to be normal skill, as for the latter skills seems to have some self-harm downside. it doesn't show much effective the latter skills are but I hope it's worth the trouble. well now that I had a little bit of understanding on my skills, it's time to learn how to make a fire, it should be quite easy, hue hue!".

The Five Series - redemption
Book 1 - Redemption Three generations have passed since the last near-apocalyptic war. Civilization is beginning to thrive again at an ever increasing pace. The burden of society has been once again placed on the back of a massive robotic workforce, creating a huge divide between industrial glory, and those forced to live in its shadow. Many have stubbornly held onto the old ways of self-governance from back when the government fell, but with its return, life in Welan City is changing. Aaron, a middle-aged man, who is stuck in the rut of daily life, witnesses a murder and finds himself in trouble, love, and the middle of a highly secretive robotics project. Aaron stakes his life on helping a prototype survive, and pays for it dearly. Passionate hate, love, and indifference send life in Welan City spiraling out of control, leaving no one innocent in the end. The Five Series is, well, a series. I've completed 3 of the books so far and will finish with a fourth, maybe fifth book. Book 1 is heavy on the character development side while the following will be much more decision and consequence oriented. This story reaches into the soul of a person and the universe we live in. Some people deserve a second chance, and some do not. With that im mind, no one really ever gets what they deserve though, do they? Always tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can, they could be gone tomorrow. Would that change if you could always bring them back? I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it. Cody

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
