《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 18. The first trade cart.

I wake up in the morning with the sun shining through my window.
I get up from my bed and get dressed and then go to my work table.
I look at the report about our trade routes and cargo...
"As I suspected... I don't know what about 75% of these things are... What the hell is a Jaunuk?" (Colin)
I look at the things I do know like deer meat and skin...
"Wait... They have deer here? Why haven't I seen any of them? I mean yes I wasn't really looking for them but... Oh whatever I don't have time for this..." (Colin)
I start putting together a list of meats and skins and such that are going to go on the first trade cart that I shall send out.
"I might aswell ask for some help... Otherwise I'll put some kind of a weird pile-up of things." (Colin)
I open the door to my room and walk downstairs and everybody is there.
Everybody except Lily greets me with cheers on their face...
"Lily, anything wrong?" (Colin)
"No... Nothing at all..." (Lily)
"Good. Just be cheerful like everybody else. Also... I need some help. I seem to be missing some information about our cargo... About 75% of our cargo." (Colin)
"I can handle that. After all I was in charge of handling the cargo." (Tiron)
"Thanks, Tiron." (Colin)
Me and Tiron head up to the room and Tiron starts explaining to me what each of the materials are...
"Hmm.... Most of our cargo is bad quality and doesn't fetch much of a price huh? If we need to make a profit... We'll need to send it on the most dangerous path right now... All the other paths result in only losses based on this info..." (Colin)
"Indeed... I fear it is so." (Tiron)
"I could go and hunt for extra materials. I was kind of forced to survive on my own for a while." (Colin)
"Sadly all of the nearby areas are controlled by other merchant guilds as they bought the land around the city. The stronger guilds like the one you destroyed have bought the Grand Forest next to the city and if you are caught hunting on their lands... Explusion from the city is the least of your problems." (Tiron)

"How about further out? Where the bought areas end?" (Colin)
"Possible, but a lot of monsters, whose materials cannot be sold by our guild, live there." (Tiron)
"So this is our only option?" (Colin)
Tiron nods yes and then I hand the paper to him.
"Then send this out on the first trade cart to Karalok." (Colin)
Tiron bows and leaves the room in a hurry to finish everything and send off the first cart.
I look at the cargo and make marking to what kind of cargo I sent out just now and just relax for an hour.
I lean back on my chair and suddenly I hear a really really loud bell being rung and I fall.
"What the hell!?" (Colin)
I hear somebody running up the steps and the next moment Lily opens the door.
"Colin! It's an Attack Signal! And it's coming from the location of Karalok!" (Lily)
"What the hell is an attack signal, say that first!" (Colin)
"It means the latest superpower of the world is thinking of expanding again!" (Lily)
"And who the hell is that?" (Colin)
"The victors of the last war with the Draconians... The Multi-race kingdom with no proper name." (Lily)
The moment I hear Draconians and Multi-race Kingdom I already know what happened.
Draconians lost. But what happened to the mansion and the others? I still need to find out about that.
But now that I know my enemy is here...
"I guess I'll help out on the defensive-soon-to-be-offensive..." (Colin)
Lily looks really confused but the moment she sees the huge grin on my face she gets scared.
I go to the East side where my last trade cart left and I see the city's defensive force fighting against a ton of different races and I notice my trade cart trying to run away from a ton of enemies...
Hmm... What would be the best here..
"My god... I'm a genius... Winged Hussars from my last world! The most epic charge in this world commence! Wait... Where is a mountain..." (Colin)
I look around and see a huge mountain that seems unpassable... But not for things that aren't going to go from the top but are going to be summoned at the top.
I basically teleport to the mountain.
"[Fire Elemental Summon: Shape: Winged Hussar]" (Colin)
In the next moment an entire army of Winged Hussar cavalary appears.
I point towards the multi-race army that has the same uniform of red blue and white.
"Attack them." (Colin)
The entire army starts moving at the same time in a huge charge down the mountain side.
I fly together with them using some wind magic to keep me in the air.
The moment the armies hear the horses and the screams of the winged hussars who are riding down from the mountain side they both turn to defend against them while attacking eachother.
At first it seems like the winged hussars are going to charge into both the armies but they change course right towards the middle of the multi-race army.
"[Fire and Earth Combination Magic: Cannon]" (Colin)
A whole row of cannons and cannoneers made out of fire and iron appear in the air and I aim them towards the multi-race army.
"Fire." (Colin)
Direct hit and the hussars hit them...
"I guess It's time for some extra support from behind..." (Colin)
I snap my fingers and appear behind the army of the attackers.
The next moment a huge wall of dirt, stone and everything else appears shutting off their escape route back home.
The only way to escape is going into the forest... But they really shouldn't go there...
I teleport to the forest.
"[Fire Elemental Summon: Shape: Abigor], [Fire Elemental Summon: Shape: Abigor's Legion]" (Colin)
"That should do nicely. Abigor, attack the army the hussars are attacking. The army that is attacking the city." (Colin)
I fly above both the armies after giving out my commands and look at the sheer massacare of the multi-race army and the sheer shock of the army I'm defending.
Infact most of them have already run back into the city and only a few unlucky ones fell and are trying to get into the city.
And Abigor appears out of the tree-line with his legion.
A pure massacare.
A minute later my armies vanish due to my command because all of the enemies are dead.
I also lower the dirt and stone wall that I made and then I float down to my trade cart.
"You can keep heading towards your destination. I doubt anything will try to attack the cart." (Colin)
I look at who is driving the cart and the one driving is... James.
The moment James sees me he sighs and keeps heading towards Karalok.
I head back to my guild and see nobody there and I hear nobody aswell...
I guess they went to see the massacare.
Now just to wait for them to come back and explain to them I am one of the strongest people in this world probably.
The more and more I think about it... The levels of the people at sanctuary were quite high.
I thought maybe level 100 was the common level but after observing some of the people in the city it seems level 15 is normal...
Level 45 for the A-ranked adventurers...
Would I be considered a proper demon if I were to show myself? I mean, I look like almost every race present but I have no specific race according to them... Though I am a human...
Well.. I won't show myself so easily. My powers I will since they might just start talking about two myth armies protecting the city.
I sit down and wait for the guild members to return.

Will You Be Alone? After The End? Don't You Know We're All Still Here?
More than a century ago the world was devastated, but that doesn't matter. Nobody cares about the past, stories from that time are as wildly conflicting as they are ridiculous--when any stories exist at all. There are problems in the here and now that need to be dealt with, bringing the past into things isn't going to help anyone. The fact is that young people all over the world are developing mysterious powers, and the public reactions to these powers are far from positive. Fair enough, you might say. Who wants a young man around who can conjure heat from the palm of his hand? How deeply undesirable is a girl who can bend your emotions to her will? What use, I ask you, is a girl whose very essence crackles with lightning? No use at all, I'd say. As for this so-called Mr Fin and his grand ideals, well, all I can say is that his clothing is of better quality than his plans. Vague allusions to a 'sanctuary' and a 'mysterious and powerful statue' are all very well, but when it comes to solid results I fear you may find him somewhat lacking. Mark my words and mark them well, following one such as him will only lead to tears. All in all, I'd say there's not much you could reasonably expect from a world such as this. Conflict, perhaps. Hardship, certainly. Despair, heartache, loss... ...hope? No, don't be ridiculous. Where could one find hope, in this ruin of an existence? Honestly, I am asking. Where?Discord
