Author - Why do I have a feeling most people are going to regret not reading this chapter with music on? Oh well... Might aswell limit that regret to 0. Here you go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1p80Z_jhMs&list=RDD1p80Z_jhMs (Credits to the people who wrote the song aka Heartist.)
Also guys... Tell me if you want me to change the title to a little better one. ( Current Idea - World Transportation: Gamer's Road. You may give more ideas if you want.)
A few hours pass after the first wave.
I look at the enemy army on the other side that now has shield bearers as the front so they can easily get close to us if our mages run out of mana and my log trap empties...
Yaay... We are dead if the only two very limited things run out!
The enemy starts slowly advancing over the bridge and our mages start casting so when they come close enough we can attack them...
The enemy reaches the middle point and our mages absoloutely destroy them and keep destroying them but they don't slow down...
They keep charging forward and we try to slow them down with arrows but their shields block the arrows and they keep marching forward.
Our mages fall back a little to regenerate mana because they run out very quickly...
My log trap is the last defence...
The enemy reaches the end of the bridge and I wait three more seconds before releasing the first wave of logs...
But things don't go like expected... I only crush the first three lines of the enemy before my logs are stopped by their shields.
They quickly run past the logs while our archers keep firing arrows at them from above and the sides.
I release the second wave of logs when most of them go past the first logs but they block those using only one line as a sacrifice...

We... Are screwed.
I look as all the mages from our side rush back to cast as much magic as they can but I clearly see that they are very exhausted because of low mana...
I cast a few fireballs too before they reach the log trap.
I bring out my sword and look as the few soldiers helping me are being thrown around like ragdolls by the shieldmen...
One of the shieldmen runs toward me but I manage to barely dodge the charge as he stumbles down and meets one of our soldiers with his back to the sky...
Our men run down from the ramparts to meet the foe and I see an enemy soldier without a shield running towards me with his blade raised...
A fatal mistake as Silan has taught me...
I prepeare to slash open the guts of the enemy soldier but when he gets close to me I hesitate for a second and he already has his blade coming towards my head...
"So this is my end..." (Colin)
Or so I thought... Xavier stabs the man while charging him to the ground, saving me.
He then gets up to fight another soldier and I see a shieldman running towards Xavier but he doesn't seem to notice him...
I must save him!
I run towards the shieldman and when he notices I am coming he changes his direction to running towards me...
I charge at him while he charges at me... It's him or me who is going to die... And I'd prefer him.
When I get close enough I dodge him and grab his shoulder while he is running past and I slit his throat with my katana...
Blood flies all over my face as he falls to the ground lifeless and I get up and see three men running at me with killing intent in their eyes...

I quickly look around for any advantages I can get and in the midst of my search I find no advantages but I do see the general...
The three swordsmen get very close to me and one of them already swings at me but I parry it and slash at him but miss...
I jump backwards and bump into somebody and when I look behind me I see an enemy shieldman...
"Oops..." (Colin)
I jump to the left as one of the enemy swordsman stabs his own comrade from behind and one of the conscripts stabs the swordsman's face...
I guess that's one way to deal with them...?
The two swordsmen run towards the conscript and I go to help him because a two versus one situation will end with the death of the conscript...
I charge at one of the swordsmen from the side slashing his arm clean off and then I cut into his throat but I don't decapitate him as I did not put enough strength into it...
Blood flies everywhere and a lot of it gets on my clothing and my face.
I run towards the other swordsmen who is fighting the conscript after pulling my sword out of the dead swordsman's neck.
I am using every surprise attack possible right now...
I charge at the man from the back and jump onto his back and slit his throat and jump off him as he falls to the ground.
The conscript slightly bows and runs off to help others and I run off to the other direction where Xavier is.
I see Xavier fighting four people at the same time but he is on the defensive...
Two swordsmen and two shieldmen...
The shieldmen pose more of a threat...
I run behind one of the shieldsmen and slash at his back a ton before he turns around and Xavier stabs him from behind and I run to the second one and repeat the process.
I then help Xavier dispatch the other two by cutting their throats.
I see the general and a few others in a circle killing anybody who isn't a friendly and gets too close...
Xavier runs that way and I run too.
We join the circle and start defending aswell...
The battle is far from over and many have fallen already...
If I do get out of this alive... I am calling it a miracle.

Divine Mortality
Divine Mortality is about the experiences of Players stepping into a new massively online world. A video game which was crafted with near-future technical advances, a game that provides seamless virtual reality headset and control support, a game which was hidden until it's surprise hit release shocking the world of boring and mundane MMORPGs played today, and a game that has been described as a miracle creation. Something which is difficult to create in Today's REAL WORLD, yet, it's not impossible with the right conditions and intentions. I try to implement concepts of my dream MMORPG which I believe will work and fulfill a Player's fun, immersion, creativity, and social world. The story in season 1 follows the first person perspective of an enthusiast of the game, Amulet Pond. Season 2 follows a new individual called Sayooshi, written in a more third person perspective (attempted light novel). (Recommended!) Season 1 covers the rough chapters 1-52, Season 2 (chapters 53+) should be better in quality. You can start reading from 53.
