《My Driver can't be This Cute》Ch4 A Desert Trip

In the mountain base, Mason and Nekomi are just chilling in their rooms.
Mason, “Hey since you have guessed what happened to those cars, how about let me ask you if there is any car that you do want to see what it looks like when it turns into a human.”
Nekomi, “Well, what do you think?”
“Man, you have a better knowledge of cars than me, how am I supposed to know? You know cars that I have never heard of. Now all I know are Ferrari, BMW, Benz, Porsche uhh…”
“I remember that you went to a Porsche museum back in Germany, do you remember anything?”
“Well all I know is a 911, and that’s it.”
Later Pierre rushed into their room and said, “We must go now, we found another one.”
“What do we get?” Nekomi asked
“It's a Porsche 911, the 959 one to be more precise.”
“Wait, the 911 is a rally car?” Mason wondered
“Well yes, and it's your turn to get jinxed.” Nekomi said while they all went to the meeting room.
In the meeting room they see a 959 in the middle of a dessert, as expected without a driver.
“What in the world is there is a Porsche in a desert?” Mason asked
“Well have you heard of the Paris-Dakar rally before?” Nekomi said “Its basically one of the toughest races on earth, crossing multiple countries and many desserts.”
“Also I found out that the car is in Saudi Arabia, where the current Dakar rally takes place.” Pierre added “Recently they made a category for old Dakar Rally vehicles, it might just have gone there undetected as it was a Dakar winner.”
“A Porsche in a rally filled with desserts? And winning at the same time?” Mason starts to be confused.
“It is also once the fastest car on earth rivaling the Ferrari F40.” Nekomi mentioned “This car just seems unstoppable hence why it's one of my dream cars.”
“Typical German engineering at its finest.” Mason started going.

Later in Saudi Arabia, in one of the service stations of the Dakar rally, which are called bivouacs. Six of them are making final last minute checks to their cars before starting the race whilst finding the self moving 959. They know this is gonna be a tough race considering the heat, the terrain and the distance that they have never experienced before. Even though they all have plenty of rally experience, this may not be enough just to finish this race in one piece.
As they are in the starting area waiting for the marshall to signal their start. Mason said to Nekomi, “Look, we need to be careful this time. This is in the middle of the desert so if you crash this time, no one will immediately save you.”
“Alright chill, we don’t need to win this time. All we need is to finish it in one piece.” Nekomi answered.
Then they are in a long journey in the middle of a desert in their own skoda, equipped with higher suspension, tool and first aid kit, a spare tyre, plenty of water just to keep them cool, and a GPS just to make sure they are on the right track. After quite a while in extreme heat, crossing over multiple sand dunes. They saw something in the distance that is white on top and blue on the bottom. They wondered if it was just a mirage or some other competitor, but when they got close, it's actually the 959 that they were trying to find. Later they even see their own teammates meet up with them and they are in a chase through the middle of a desert.
Sand dune after sand dune, the Porsche just somehow keeps getting away even when they try to get faster without crashing. But then they encountered a huge sand dune several meters tall with a huge steep drop at the end. “Bro, another jump is incoming.” Nekomi said. Just as Nekomi tries to jump this huge dune, Mason suddenly interrupts and yells, “NO! NO! DIDN’T YOU FORGET WHAT I TOLD YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE! YOU AIN’T GONNA MAKE THAT JUMP, STOP THE CAR NOW!” Nekomi breaked just in time when it is going to fall from the edge of the sand dune, this makes it two wheels in front of the edge while two wheels on the back. Slowly it fell down the steep hill and went down the dune safely.

At the bottom of the sand dune, they saw the Porsche being rolled over and upside down being stuck. Then a small flash of light appeared inside the Porsche.
“SCHEISSE” as a girl with glasses wearing a vest and shorts screamed while crawling out the porsche. Nekomi and Mason stood in front of her while the others were coming.
“You alright?” Nekomi asked
“It’s fine, I’m used to this.” She said as she stood up, showing her body with cuts and bruises while wiping the sand off her body.
One of the things that makes the Dakar rally unique other than the tough course is that competitors are allowed or even encouraged to help each other out during the race. Tommi and Kimi are trying to pull the car back into its position as Seb and Pierre are trying to fix what has been damaged. Meanwhile, Nekomi went to his car and grabs his first aid kit to try to heal her wounds.
“So, does it hurt?” Nekomi asks while applying alcohol on her wounds with a cotton ball.
“Just a bit. But I'm fine thanks.” The girl said
As Nekomi starts to apply bandages onto some of her cuts, the car somehow manages to run again. “So you are one of those huh?” Nekomi asked.
“Well glad you knew.” the girl said
“The funny thing is we all knew.”
Then they all slowly went to the end of this long stage as the sun slowly set.
In another bivouac site, Nekomi and the girl sat together on the sand while looking at the 959 and other cars around them. As the girl’s wounds start to heal, the Porsche seems to fix itself.
Nekomi asked, “Want some hot chocolate?”
“No thanks.” the girl replied
“Well…” Nekomi then said, “It looks beautiful isn’t it.”
The girl starts to blush a bit as Nekomi says that.
“All 911s are nice, they are one of the only cars that still uses a rear engine, rear wheel drive setup. But the 959, it's special.”
The girl starts to slowly look away from Nekomi as he talks.
“Originally a group B prototype, planning to conquer rally stages. But after Group B’s cancellation, it became a rally raid car and the fastest car of that time.” Nekomi continued, “Back then, it was created way ahead of its time, with technology never seen before in a car, made with aluminum and kevlar, powered by a Flat 6 engine based on a LeMans race car, with the ride height that you can adjust yourself.”
The girl blushes even more as Nekomi continues to talk about the car.
“It is just stuff that is meant for a supercar, and yet Porsche decided to take it to Dakar and get a 1,2 finish. Then they took the same car and made it the fastest car on earth. Unfortunately only 337 of them were made, and making one actually loses money even with a huge price. Seeing one of them is just a once in a lifetime experience, I always wonder what it is like to drive it, I guess I'll never know."
"It's just one of those cars that you could never get the chance to drive one, let alone own one. And all you can do is dream about it." Nekomi then added
The girl's face turned red then she muttered, "Can't believe I was saved by someone like this. And yet, at least you do know me well." Then she then slowly pats Nekomi's head, "Call me Alice if you will, better sleep early for tomorrow."
Nekomi then replied, "Good night 95- I mean Alice."
Alice chuckled and said, "Good night to you too, Morven."

8 442The Many Lives of Cadence Lee
Cadence Lee thought she was a normal girl, perhaps a little well to do, but not exceptionally so. She had her college classes, she had her job that her uncle gave her, and she had a nice boyfriend who was sweet if a little awkward. Except, when a mugger accosts Cadence and her boyfriend attempts to wrestle a gun away from the criminal, Cadence ends up shot. A normal girl, with the kind of wound Cadence had, would die. Cadence managed to do that part. But a normal girl wouldn't then open her eyes again and learn that death is not as permanant for her as it is for other people. She can be reborn again, and again. Each time stronger and with new abilities. The catch? Any world she is born into, she can never return to. She has infinite lives, but only one life for each. So begins The Many Lives of Cadence Lee. 8 211Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
8 147Death Galaxy
When portals opened across the world and space, people were a bit terrified. Naturally, some people called it the end times or some other negative interpretation. Thankfully, the new arrivals managed to calm the masses, saying they were here from across dimensions in search of peaceful refuge. After some discussion and promise from the reality hopers to not break the world, they were allowed asylum. And so, began a technological revolution as the new cohabitants, who looked distinctly human if a bit off, openly shared some of their knowledge with us. Space travel, while not cakewalks, become more easily accessible, as did interplanetary colonization. Naturally, with the New Humans keeping some of the more dangerous techs to themselves and Old Humans being a greedy bunch, tensions are arising as old and new grudges rear their ugly heads. The world endlessly spins as history, both good and bad, is seemingly on its way to repeating itself. Only with other planets, and potentially other universes, being the backdrop this time. But that was big stuff that Alex had no real interest in. They only care about one thing and one thing. TDAG. Trans-Dimensional Adventure Games. Best VR system ever made. Alex, instead of focusing on political and multiverse shenanigans, had their eyes set on VR games. Specifically, one of the new and up and coming potential best games of all times. Death Galaxy
