A few weeks came and went since Ryu was summoned to the Hokage Office. Since then he began increasing his training at a slight faster rate. From doing another lap around the village to another set of his daily reps.

This didn’t go unnoticed by others, a teen in a green suit with orange leg warmers, bowl haircut and bushy eyebrows appeared. This teen kept shouting off about the power of youth, and challenging himself to the extreme. Something about losing, he will do a hundred laps on his hands or climb a rock with a boulder tied to him.

He didn’t know where the man came from, only that he wasn’t letting Naruto near him any time soon. The last thing he needs is the hyper blonde wearing a suit like that. Maybe he should look into bright color jumpsuit to help train their stealth.

“Yosh, lets fan our flames of youth.” Ryu heard behind him as he finishing the last lap of his morning run.

Seconds after hearing that, a dust cloud passed him. Coughing a few times, Ryu finished up and headed back to the clean up. He didn't want to go to the academy covered in sweat and dust. Which he wasn’t sure any of the civilian children knew what it was from lack of training or the girls ‘diets’.

“Naruto, what are you doing up so early, little buddy.” Ryu said as he found Naruto sitting under a tree with the sun at not even seven.

“I-its adoption d-day, so the orphan matron kicked me out.” Naruto cried as he wrapped his arms around Ryu waist.

Patting his little buddy back, Ryu allowed Naruto to let out his sadness. “It is going to be fine, I will graduate early so I can find an apartment. Than you can move in with me, how does that sound?”

“Really? You would do that for me.” Naruto looked at him in disbelief but could only smile.

“Yep, but don’t tell anyone it going to be our little secret.” Ryu said as he figures Naruto will tell the Hokage. The little blond just says whatever on his mind and is a terrible liar, but that is what makes him cute.

“Now why don’t you go play while I get ready for the academy. It a shorter day, so think of what training you want ok?” He held out his fist for Naruto.

“You got it, and your a girl again by the way.” Naruto said before running off.

Patting herself, Ryuu just shook her head not really caring as she headed towards the showers. Dressing in her female set of clothes, which consisted of black shorts and shirt with a gray zip up hoodie. She packed an extra set of male clothes before heading towards the academy to change out afterwards.

Entering the classroom, Ryuu instantly became the center of attention. All the girls flared their envy and the males drooled. Rolling her eyes at them as when he male it reversed, so she headed toward her two friends.

Petting one of the triplets behind their ears, they whimpered a bit as they looked at her in fear.

“What wrong, do you not like being petted?” Ryuu asked the small puppy worried she did something wrong.

She watched as the triplets jump off the desk and into or behind Hana lap staring at her in fear. There was clearly something wrong and it wasn’t because she smelled. It was the same soap she has been using for a while and wasn’t a problem yesterday.

“Is it I am not pretty enough?” Ryuu asked behind her mask before receiving death glares from nearly all the female who heard.

If your not pretty than are we abominations? Was what their glares shouted, but were ignored as Ryuu looked at the triplets.

“Should I sit somewhere else today?” Ryuu asked.

“Nah, your fine I just don’t know what's up with these three.” Hana said looking at the Three Haimaru Brothers.

“Ryuu, your a girl today?” Izumi said. “It has been a while since you last came to class like that.”

“I guess so, though showering was a pain. So much hair to wash..” Ryuu shrugged making all the boys nearly faint as they listened. Their imagination ran wild and turned redder than a tomato.

“I-is that so? Why don’t you cut it?” Izumi asked blushing.

“Isn’t it weird to shower as a female?” Hana asked since Ryuu always appeared in male form. Not that there much difference due to their age currently.

“Hmm, not really as it is my body and I have been doing it since i remember.” Ryuu thought as she prefers females over males. Now would that make her a lesibien if she male half the time? “As for the hair it grows back if I switch genders so cutting it is pointless.”

“When you go to the hot springs, which side do you choose?” Hana asked curiously.

“Hmm, I have never been there. If I do it would probably be on the male side since I would bring my little buddy. Maybe I take him tomorrow as a birthday present and turning three.” Ryuu said thinking of Naruto.

“We can go another day, and I can join you than.” Ryuu shrugged before two fists rained down on his head.

“Pervert,” They said in sync.

“Only one male can see my body is Itachi.” Izumi said though she spaced out soon after. “Do you identify as male or female?”

“But I can be either gender.” Ryuu mumbled to herself at being treated unfairly.

Before the small argument could continue any further Instructor Bo walked in. He quickly announced that they would be only working on their body conditioning. Which led most who barely train to groan clearly displeased.

Heading out to the training field, Bo lead them to the track field. Splitting them into two groups with girls in one and boys in the other. When he got to Ryuu he glanced before pointing towards the girls. It really came down to what gender he shows up in when they do split group for training.

“Alright, boys are running the track first, girls are doing are doing kata. Begin.”

Going to the center of the track, two rows were formed from five each. Going through the academy basics arts, only the ones from a clans really put effort into it. None of the civilian girls really put much effort or corrected their mistakes. So, Ryuu only seen Hana and Izumi really working up a sweat, though that mostly thanks to the sun.

Going through the twelve motions meant to strengthen the force behind their punches or kicks. Nearly a half hour went by before Bo called switch. By than Ryuu seen most of the boys barely picking themselves off the ground. Most of the girls were complaining about ruining their new clothes.

“Why would they wear them to school where they knew they would get dirty?” Izumi asked as she set the pace to run at.

“To give Kunoichi a bad name.” Hana said as she watched a few girls move barely faster than walking speed.

“Do you two want to join me and Naruto for some extra training after we are done here?” Ryuu asked.

“Sorry, I got to help out at the bakery.” Izumi said.

“I can’t either as it my day to clean the kennels..” Hana replied sounding a bit sad.

“Ok,” Ryuu shrugged not really bothered by it.

For the next hour an hour they ran at the same pace building up their endurance. Ryuu sighed as she wasn’t winded in the slightest as it didn’t come close to her morning training. Stretching out, Bo called for a ten minute break.

“Should I get some training weights?” Ryuu hummed to herself. She doesn’t want to affected her height so maybe two pounds on each arm and five one each leg.

“Alright, everyone to the obstacle course. Then we will be done for the day afterwards.” Bo shouted reclining groans in return.

The obstacle course had four different parts to it. The first were four platforms on an angle they have to jump to each one. Next was a balance beam they have to run across, dodging rubber balls. Followed by crawling under a net and finally climbing a wall.

“Tenchi, your up first.”

A brown haired kid walked confidently to the starting line as he was the fourth fastest in class. Every so often he would say his goal was to be faster than the fourth Hokage. Only Ryuu never once seen him training outside of the academy. He usually spends his time playing or hanging out with his friends.

Watching him run through the course, he was panting at the end. Bo just looked down at him before marking something on his clipboard.

“Four minutes and twenty-one seconds.”

A few cheers came from his friends while the class clapped at his new record. He has managed to shave off three seconds from last time two months ago.

One by one, Ryuu watched waiting for her turn. None of them managed to get a time lower than five minutes. Since most were tired or exhausted this cut into their energy and stamina. The other time killer was the net and the wall. None of the girls really wanted to get their outfit dirty or climb the wall. Which was their fault for wearing a skirt.

“Ryuu Fumetsu,” Bo called out.

Walking to the starting line, Ryuu did a couple warm up stretches and nodded to Bo.

“Begin.”

Clearly faster than the ones before her, she hopped from one plate to the other in ten seconds. It appeared she was taking steps on the plates before jumping to the next. Next on the balance beam, she ran across it easily dodging the rubber balls thrown. Not even hesitating like those before to catch her breath or complain, dove into the crawling under the next.

“Go Ryuu,” She heard Hana and Izumi cheer.

Crawling nearly five meters, Ryuu got up and climbed the wall finishing the course.

“Two minutes and thirteen seconds. Impressive some obviously been training hard.” Bo said as Ryuu looked at him stunned. The man never gives out praises before.

“Thank you.” Ryuu said before joining Hana and Izumi.

A few more students came and went before it was Hana turn which she finished on two minutes and thirty seconds. Izumi was a bit slower as she finished just shy of two minutes and forty seconds. Which Bo also praised them as he clearly seen the effort they put into training.

“Alright, that's all for today.” Bo said once the last student finished.

“I will see you two later.” Ryuu said as she went to find Naruto. Who knows what kind of trouble he will get into.

Walking into an empty bathroom, Ryuu changed out of her clothes and switched back to being male. His long white-blue hair shorten until he the base of his neck with to bang framing his face. He watched his slender arms grew a bit more muscular as did the rest of his body.

Now wearing the reversed colors of earlier with gray shorts and shirt, he wore a black zip up hoodie. He wasn’t one for fashion but more durable and useful covering most of his body. It stops most from drooling or turning into mindless drones. Though it also a reason he can’t tell when he switches genders.

“Now it is time to go find my buddy.” Ryu thought leaving the bathroom.

Heading to the park, he found Naruto making attempting to make friends. Most of the children stayed away while some of the smaller clans heirs played with a troubled look. Though it mostly his energy that drove them away as they had trouble keeping up.

Looking up into the tree he saw the silver hair anbu watching over Naruto. Thinking about it is a little unreasonable to let a nearly three year old out to wonder by himself. Trying to think back to when he was that age, all he got was the vague memories and how his kekkei genkai works. No memories of his parents or relatives.

“Ryu, look, I made some friends.” Naruto bounced over.

“I can see that, so are you up for training?” Ryu asked receiving a head shake.

“I want to play with my new friends today.” Naruto replied happily.

“Alright, I will go train and come check on you later than.” Ryu said with an eye smile as he messed up Naruto hair.

“See you later than.” Naruto shouted as he ran back to the group.

Waiting a few more seconds, Ryu left and headed towards a weapon shop. Reading the sign that said Treasure Tools, he entered. Looking around he saw weapons lining the walls and shelves. Near the door he found training swords as well fuinjutsu beginner to advance kits.

“Welcome what can I help you with.” a man in his late twenties asked behind the counter. He has short brown hair and blacksmith apron on due to the thickness. His arms were a bit bulky which Ryu figured due to forging.

“I am looking for some training weights. Two pound wrist bands and five for the legs.” Ryu answered.

“Training weights huh. I got some in the back I believe.” The man said as he vanished behind the curtain behind him.

A few moments later he returned with four blue weighted bands. Looking at him he nodded as he pulled out his orange fox wallet.

“How much.” Ryu asked.

“Hmm, three hundred ryu total. They aren’t that hard to make and not many uses them.” The man shrugged.

“Ok,” dropping the money on the counter, Ryu picked up the weights and slipped them one barely noticing them there.

“Have a nice day.” Ryu said leaving to go train.

In an empty clearing in the forest, Ryu began to stretched out before starting with hundred push ups, squats, and sit ups. After finishing up, his warm up he went to work on hundred punches and kicks. Than repeat, for the next few hours.

Seeing that a few hours passed, it was time to check on Naruto. Heading to the park, he found Naruto still playing alone. It seems that the other children had already left.

“Naruto,” Ryu called out.

“Ryu,” Naruto bounced to his feet but was rubbing his eyes clearly sleepy.

“It's time to get back, huh.” Ryu sent an eye smile as he picked up Naruto.

Picking up Naruto, he made his way to the orphanage to put Naruto to sleep. Going to his own room, he began to relax and began studying a scroll.

“Time to sleep.” Ryu thought as he yawned. Closing his eyes instead of entering dreamland he found himself in a field. A field with a very, very large wolf looking down at him.

The wolf has large sapphire eyes, with it pure white fur made with blue flame. The teeth three times his size in front of him and claws threatening to cut him with just a look.

“Hello, Ryu. It is nice to finally meet you.” The large fire wolf said causing him to roll his eyes back and faint.
