“...and five.”

A young boy looking no older than seven said as he just finished his morning runniing five times around Konohagakure. Feeling the morning rays and breeze running through his damp white hair with light blue tint. He felt ready for the day at the academy.

Pulling up his face mask covering the lower half of his face, he headed towards the orphanage. He needed to clean up and check on his favorite toddler who turning three in a few weeks. Which reminds him he needs to pick out his present.

Walking by a small merchant stand he found a small stuffed fox and frog. Asking the price he quickly ran through his head and nodded handing over the money.

It looks like I need to be cheap for a while. the boy thought as he wrapped the two stuffed animals. I hope he loves them.

“Ryu,” a small bundle of energy called out to him.

This small bundle of energy had blonde hair bright as the dun, bright blue eyes and three whiskers on each cheek. Looking over his clothes, he sighed as his white shirt and blue shorts looked worn out. He wasn’t even going to mention the sandals on the boy feet.

Looks like I need to begin helping around for some extra coins again. Ryu thought as he smiled at the boy.

“Naruto, your up early? Do you have anything planned today?” He asked the small boy who nodded furiously.

“I’m going to visit grandpa,” Naruto said. “Than I am going to the park. Once your done at the academy are we going to train again?”

Thinking about it, even if it makes him a bit sad that no one want to befriend this bundle of sunshine. Ryu nodded as they fist bump and Naruto running towards the Hokage Tower. Though the training he does with Naruto is playing hide and seek training their stealth skills.

“Don’t forget your manners,” He called out but he doubts Naruto would listen.

Once Naruto was out of sight he just frowned at the Orphanage and caretaker. They were just either glaring or pretending they didn't see either him or Naruto. Sighing at their attitudes he just shrugged as he was used to it.

He knew that Naruto was the jinchuriki for the nine tails as he remembers that night and when it was revealed. The attack happened on his fifth birthday the same days that Naruto was born, and he has vague memories. He doesn’t know how or why, but he has memories of certain event to come.

I hope I am strong enough when these events arrive. Ryu thought as he headed towards the showers.

Entering the classroom, he glanced around seeing all who arrived. Seeing it was packed full of civilian children, he spotted his two friends. He saw Hana Inuzuka with her brown hair tied back into a ponytail and two locks framing her face. Sitting in front of her were three nin dogs around her wagging their tails.

Next to her was Izumi Uchiha, with brown bangs framing her face showing her onyx eyes, with a mole under her right eye.

Both of them were wearing baggy shorts and shirt showing their starting to develop bodies. Which in other words nothing impressive yet since they like the rest were seven or eight.

“Hello, Hana-chan, Izumi-chan.” Ryu greeted his close friends earning a slight glare.

“Drop the -chan, we told you to drop it didn’t we?” Hana and Izumi huffed as he just smiled behind his mask.

“So, how have you two been? Training hard I hope?” Ryu said as he looked around the room.

Since most were civilians, most of them either barely try or attempted to improve with a rare one here and there. The two girls noticed his look, and smiled and did a fist pump.

“Yep, mother began training me in the clan style taijutsu since getting these three brothers.” Hana said as she petted one of the trio dogs.

“I have been training hard to catch up to Itachi.” Izumi said with a slight sigh. “Though I keep running out of Chakra quickly after activating the Sharingan.”

“Don’t worry just keep training hard.” Ryu sent a warm eye smile similar to the one eyed jonin he sees walking around from time to time.

Sitting down, the Chunin instructor walked in. He appeared to be hovering around forty or so, with a short goatee and slight age wrinkles around his eyes. Wearing the standard Chunin uniform, releasing a little killing intent. Which quieted everyone down as they found their seat and too scared to speak.

“I am Chunin Bo, and I be your instructor for the time being.” The man began.

When the final bell rang at the end of the day, Ryu said goodbye to Hana and Izumi. Making his way through the village to the park. He spotted Naruto, sitting alone on the swing as parents hustled their kids away.

“Naruto, what are you moping around for?” He called out breaking Naruto out of his sad gaze at the ground.

“Ryu, you done at the academy today?” Naruto bounced up racing over and jumping into his arms.

“You turned into a girl again.” Naruto said nearly instantly, making Ryu blink.

Patting himself over, he felt his buddy was gone and felt two little budding on his chest. His hips were a tiny bit wider and his voice was a tiny bit higher. He was now a she, which she dismissed with a shrug since it was his kekkei genkai.

While it didn’t offer any offense or defense, it works well for information or seduction. It doesn’t require chakra or give off any like the transformation jutsu. So it can even fool sensors as it tweaks the chakra signature just a bit appearing like a new person.

“So I have? Well whatever, so what shall we play or train today?” Ryuu asked.

“Speed!” Naruto shouted bouncing.

“Want to be fast, huh. Shall we run a lap around the village?” Ryuu said with an eye smile.

Naruto nodded dumbly as he knew would carry him once he about to collapse. It happens every time as his little legs and stamina can’t make it halfway yet. Also, Ryuu would match his pace slowing down her own training.

“Let do it. I will make it half way this time.” Naruto got pumped.

“Alright,” Ryuu picked Naruto up and place him on her shoulder. “To the gate.”

In the Hokage Office

Sitting behind his desk Hiruzen Sarutobi, known as The Professor and God of Shinobi. He finally managed to catch a break from paper work and decided to check on Naruto. Pulling out the crystal ball, Naruto appeared running beside Ryuu smiling.

Seeing the seven year old, with waist long white hair with a tint of blue. He chuckled at the masked as it reminded him of Kakashi. Only she didn’t have gravity defying hair or an eye covered. He also knows the reason for the mask, as even at a young age, her or his looks are unparalleled. In fact, it without the mask she appears as an angel descend from heaven.

“Hmm, Anbu get me the files on Ryuu Fumetsu school records.” He called out to the empty room.

Moments later, a file appeared on his desk. Opening it he scanned over it, he raised an eyebrow.

Age: 7

Birthday: October 10th

Gender: Able to Change between Male and Female, and will randomly switch.

Kekkei Genkai: Seibetsu -able to switch genders at will

Studies: Near the Top of the Class

Taijutsu: Low to Mid-Genin Level

Genjutsu: Unable to perform due to density of chakra

Description- Near the top of the class and hard worker usually seen training after school. He is best friends with Hana Inuzuka, Izumi Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha. He has a friendly rivalry with Itachi Uchiha. It is highly recommended to graduate early, though he rejected feeling not ready.

Looking over the sheet, Hiruzen hummed as he has already seen a similar report before. The last time was a few months after the Nine Tails attack. It happened when he was visiting Naruto and saw a child barely five taking care of him.

“Bring me Ryu Fumetsu,” He said looking back at the crystal ball seeing Naruo sleeping on Ryuu back.

Walking back to the orphanage, Ryu who switched back to male, seen a man in a dog mask appear. Judging by his height Ryu estimated his age to be around his mid teens or so. His silver defying hair sticking out from his mask. He recognized the Anbu who would come watch Naruto from time to time.

“Watching Naruto again?” Ryu asked getting a head shake.

“Lord Hokage wants to see you.” Inu said with a bored tone.

“Ok, let me get this little guy to bed and we can go.” Ryu said as the Anbu nodded.

A few minutes later after tucking Naruto in, he was Shunshin (Body Flicker) away. A few moments later they were in the Hokage office facing the aged Shinobi. Looking at the leader of the village over and seeing the aged lines, Ryu bowed.

“Lord Hokage, you wish to see me.” Ryu said.

“Yes, I looked over your school report and seen it recommend you graduate early. So I would like to ask you why you refused.” Hiruzen asked.

“For the first is I feel I haven’t trained enough while the second is wanting to be with my friends. Probably the biggest reason, though is Naruto Uzumaki.” Ryu replied.

“Oh, why is Naruto your biggest reason.” The aged leader asked curiously.

“Once I begin doing missions outside of Konohagakure no one would care for Naruto. None of the caretakers bother to do anything for him and pull the other children away from him. I am the one teaching how to read and attempting to teach him some manners. Even his clothes were brought by me, though he doesn’t need to know that.” Ryu answered pretending he didn’t see the hard look the Hokage had.

“Is that so...I will make you a deal. If you graduate at the end of the year, I will give you and Naruto an apartment. When you go on mission I will send someone over to watch over him.” Hiruzen said shocking Ryu him to the core.

“Very well, Hokage. I would also recommend Hana Inuzuka and Izumi Uchiha as well. They need a bit of practice, but they should be ready at the end of the year.” Ryu said before he left heading back to the Orphanage.

“Is that wise Hokage-sama?” One of the anbu asked clearly worried.

Blowing out some smoke in his pipe, Hiruzen leaned back closing his eyes. “He is similar to Itachi and mature for his age. Bring the files of the two he listed.”

Closing the door, he saw a man around the same age as the Hokage and one arm. On his chin there was an X shape scar and one eye. Ignoring the man as he felt uncomfortable he quickly left.

When he arrived back at the orphanage, he was out as a light once his head hit his pillow.
