Day 14

We marched at dawn and stopped at dusk. It wasn't really that bad cuz of all the running that we did during training by my feet were still pretty sore.

Day 21

We finally met up with the main army and it was pretty fucking huge. I mean i know it sounds like 50,000 men isn't a lot but you haven't seen 50,000 men all in ranks and marching towards battle.

We were in the Plains of Waszu the enemy army is expected to arrive here tomorrow and so we made camp. By talking to some of the army guys around camp I learned the hierarchy of the army though some of the guys were pricks because I was a slave and it was below their "dignity" to talk to one.

The lowest rank is the common foot soldier who gets about 80 coppers a month, then there is the corporal that you can get promoted to after 3 years of service and your pay increases also to 90 coppers a month. You get promoted to sergeant after either another 3 years of service or can get promoted early if you get recognized by a captain rank or higher, and you get up to 1 silver a month. You can only get a rank up to a lieutenant if you graduate from a special military academy, or another 10 years of service after you get promoted to a sergeant and your pay goes up to 3 silvers a month.

Becoming a captain is not easy i hear. You can only get it by being the top of your class in the military academy which is really super hard or you show exemplary leadership in battle. The captain gets to have one lieutenant follow him around who is basically his bitch, and his pay goes up to 20 silvers a month.

Then there is a major and you can only be granted that rank after 10 years of service as a captain. and his pay rises to 40 silver a month. A major has 3 lieutenants as his bitches.

A colonel is only for those that have served in the army for another 10 years of service or can be promoted through great service in battle only by the general and he gets 2 captains as his bitches as well as their lieutenants. A colonel gets 1 gold per month.

And lastly there is the general who can only be given that rank by the king. The general is the commander of the army and a general gets 1 colonel and 2 majors that follow him around and a general gets 25 gold a month.

There are 2 generals currently commanding the army. This country has 3 generals. The other general is with the king planning in case the enemy defeats us.

Worried about tomorrow I go to sleep.
