《Painting Horrors》Church of Modesty

As Gabriel was looking for a place to rest, the parents of the siblings went to knock on the door and when they didn't get an answer they forcefully opened the door and what they saw shocked them. The room was a mess it looked like there was a battlefield that happened, the strangest thing that happened was that only furniture were destroyed, there didn't seem to be any blood or any of the sort that would help identify the culprits. They were scared because their children went missing, "Honey, what do we do our babies are gone." The mother sobbed as she barely uttered those words out. "Don't worry, I'll get the church, we've been long time follower of them, I'm sure they'll help us with this problem." The husband said comfortingly to his wife and he looked quite calm at this moment but this was just a facade to make sure the wife didn't feel any worse.
"Followers of the divine, you must make sure that you follow the rule of Mercy. 1. Always live modestly, don't over eat, don't over drink, and don't over spend. 2. Help those that you can possibly help in need, abandoning another would make it so the divine would abandon you. 3. Live a life with modest sin, we know that you'll eventually sin in life but keep it in a modest level." As the deacon of the church was preaching the rules of Mercy to the masses inside the church, he notified the workers of the church to collect Caesar coins from the people. The masses were only allowed to donate Caesar coins that were either bronze or silver, you couldn't donate any gold Caesar or else that would be breaking the first rule of Mercy which is to live a life of modesty.

As people were donating bronze Caesar coins, the deacon noticed that a couple who looked quite distressed, donated 3 Caesar Silver coins. This was quite a big amount of money, as it would be the worth of 3 years of working and not spending it on anything. As the old deacon noticed this he walked toward the couple and asked them, "Followers the divine, what seems to be causing you such distress?" The couple looked at the deacon in his eyes, the deacon's wrinkles on his face didn't make him look ugly, it made him look very mature and wise. "Oh great deacon, it has been a disaster for me and my wife, we woke up this morning just to see our children gone. The weird thing was that there seemed to be quite a big fight in there but there was no blood or any signs that there were people who were fighting in the first place." The husband told the deacon with quite a gloomy look. The deacon was shocked when he heard this, but he soon fixed his expression and told them, "Don't worry loyal followers, we'll send our devout to handle the situation." As the couple heard him say that, their expression brightened up but they were still worried. "Everyone, church hours is up please leave the divine temple orderly." The deacon clapped his hand and said this still in his kind and mature voice but it made the people feel like they had to obey his order.
As the deacon watched everyone leave he went out the church and walked behind the church's building. He hit a brick and the brick moved back and a hidden passage opened behind the church, as he walked down the ominous stairs he was in deep thought. "Who was the one that attacked the couple's children and why did it seem like there was such a big battle just to get a couple of normal humans." As the deacon was in thought he reached the end of the passage, he saw 5 teens with the robes of Mercy on them. The robes of mercy didn't look any fancy in fact it looked quite ordinary but this was the formal attire of the church because they still followed the rule of living modestly. While the 5 teens were playing around they noticed the deacon and their expression turned serious. "Devout, there seems to be someone who is abusing his gifted power to harm the innocents, I need you to investigate and capture this sinner." As he said this he told the teens in the room what the couple told him and left. The teens were in thought as they heard this, "Well it seems like we have something to do after a long time, it'll be a good way to relieve our boredom." A husky masculine voice said and the teens all nodded in agreement, "Alright everyone, prepare your supplies we need to catch a sinner." A soothing voice said this but all the teen's face didn't ignore it in fact they seemed like they were hearing an order from a leader. "We'll go catch this sinner at dusk, so we don't alert the citizens." As the voice said this everyone in the room hurried to get their supplies. 'It will not be peaceful tonight.' The person with the soothing voice thought of this, and she looked at the people in the room and hoped everyone could come back alive with no problems.

The Empty Valley Cries Unheard
The stories can be read at any order. Phew, this story was finally finished at last! What could I say, it was a hell of a ride when I wrote it from the beginning to end. Thanks for having me on RR :D All the current chapter had already done a run on Grammarly, so hopefully it'd be more readable. ...kinda feeling lazy so calling off the edits for now. A couple of old / new attempts of combining Horror, Comedy and Absurdist elements. I'm not very good at writing Horror stories but I'd like to try once in a while. Although the first chapter may be completely screwed up, believe me--I mostly write fluffy gay scenes between two girls. It would PROBABLY become a lot lighter as we moved up the chapter count. Not for the faint of heart, but if you're like me who like some absurd or nonsensical stories, this might be right up your alley. Sorry in advance if some of the chapters seem normal lol additional tags : nonsense / absurd / parody

The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
