《Painting Horrors》He Killed Me

It was night, the two siblings were sleeping together in the same room because their family wasn't too well off they lived in a single floored house with 5 room. This was one of the room that was taken by the two siblings, the other room was for their parents, and the last 3 were for the kitchen, living room, and the storage room. Their room looked quite old and very dusty, but a beautiful painting of the two siblings was hanged up on the wall. They were very happy when they came back home because they brought back the canvas they got from the artist and showed it to their parents, their parents also liked it and helped them hang the painting on their wall.
As the two siblings were sleeping comfortably, a red mist squeezed itself through the crack of the window in their only room. The siblings expression changed they looked quite agitated but they were still asleep like they were only just having a bad dream. With the red mist came the smell of blood if one were to smell they would have the urge to vomit, but apparently no one in the house could smell the red mist except the siblings. "Ughh what is that smell?" The sister groaned while she rubbed her hands on her eyes as she tried to adjust to the darkness. Following her voice came her brother's groan too apparently he was also woken up by that smell. As the two gradually adjusted to the darkness of their room they were shocked and horrified to see the red mist in their room.
The sister ran to her little brother and protected her. "Sister I'm scared." The young boy whimpered. As all of this was happening Gabriel was on the roof of the house next door observing the painting of his dead teacher. He was quite satisfied with this painting and with this painting came the ability to see through the painting and see what was happening inside the siblings room. "Yes be scared, with your fear your death will bring a beautiful art to the painting and then will it truly be completed." He was quite excited as he looked at what was happening in the siblings room through the painting.

There was dripping noise in the siblings room, they didn't know what was happening but as they heard that noise it broke them out of their trance. Their eyes were glancing around everywhere to find what was causing the noise, and suddenly the sister felt something wet on her hair, but it didn't feel like water she touched her hair was shocked to see blood. A croaking noise came and following that croaking noise came a voice fueled with resentment and anger. "He killed me! He killed me!" As the two siblings looked up they were shocked to find a woman that was floating in the air she had brown hair but the brain hair looked like it was dipped in blood and she wearing black dress but the bottom half was dripping with blood. She would have looked quite pretty if it wasn't for her scary attire and her mad ramblings. "You have his painting of you two you should die and feel what I should too!" As the two heard this they were suddenly reminded of the artist who painted them. They couldn't believe the kind looking artist would be such a mad murderer, the sister grabbed a boost of confidence out of no where and tried to talk to the lady in red.
"Please mam it wasn't us who killed you so why do you have to target us victims too, if you don't kill us we can help tell the church about the artist who killed you, and maybe free you from your torment." The brother was pale of shock when he heard what his sister said, he just wanted to leave the house and run away right now. As the lady in red heard this she had a conflicted look in her face, Gabriel who was observing what was happening so fair sighed. "I'm too weak to fully control my own painting what kind of artist am I? I disgraced all the artist out there, but this is a good lesson for me." He suddenly took a knife out of his pocket and slit through his palm, he clenched his fist and the blood flowed through the painting of his teacher, the lady in red who looked conflicted suddenly had a red glow in her eyes. "NO DIE!" She shouted as she lunged at the siblings with a mad expression.

Core Defect
In the 264 years since the Great Singularity Wars, the world has been irrevocably changed. Technologies like nanobots and rogue artificial intelligences have caused the planet's wildlife to evolve in dangerous and powerful ways, pushing humanity to the verge of extinction. However, the remaining survivors are not without ways to fight back. Nanotech can enhance humans just as well as beasts, but perhaps most surprisingly, humanity has found an unexpected ally: a group of human-neutral AIs called Daemons. Val is a 22-year old woman striving to become a User: a nano-empowered human paired with a Daemon that serves as society's final and most powerful line of defense. When a critical issue in her nanosystem's core seemingly leaves her unable to serve as a User, she's given a difficult choice: give up on her dreams or accept a potentially unstable AI, Noir, as her Daemon partner. Val and Noir are stronger together than they are apart, but can they survive long enough to unlock their potential? Can they find a place among the other pairings like them, shunned by society but essential to civilization's survival? If Users are humanity's last line of defense, welcome to the sacrificial first line: the Defects. Updates are currently once a week, aiming for the weekend. Chapters usually 2k-3k in length.
