Chapter 2 edwards arc

Edward sound asleep new nothing about what was happening the chaotic and apocalyptic world outside of his ship. The world was ripping itself to pieces. Humans turned frenzied and assaulted all things in their path.

Edward woke rested and happy. Grabbed a dr pepper from his fridge and began to cook his breakfast. Sitting down for breakfast he then said to his smart watch display news for today. A holographic display projected terrifying images to Edward.

Blurghhh... Edward barfed up his freshly cooked breakfast. What the heck is going on in the world, why can this even be displayed as news, wouldn't this be sensors for being to graphic.

Well I can't stay here thought edward. Luckily this ship is mostly automatic. I can even raise the anchor buy pushing buttons on the bridge, let's hope its not passcode protected or its a simple hack.

Thankfully the ship was so new they hadn't gotten to passcodes yet. Alright let's heave anchor, I'd rather get arrested for piracy than be eaten alive by those monsters he said to himself.

He successfully heaved anchor no for the hard part navigating. I haven't done this before but supposedly its all in the computer system. Ok were at point a so were would a good final destination be home.

Ah I have it exclaimed Edward, the gallopagos islands shouldn't be any people there it was turned into a mature reserve. So should have food there he thought to himself. And this ship has only the gangway as an access point i couldn't be more secure.

No I'm gonna stay awake a while while the ship heads out to sea.as he was exiting the port he noticed a small fishing boat. What caught his attention was there seemed to be several very small children in it they were trying very hard to get his attention.

Should I even do anything to help them thought edward to himself. What if there infected like the rest of those things he tried justifying to himself.

So he took the binoculars out and started to observe the children in the craft. They seem to be fine they're not assaulting each other but still... .

Finally Edward decided to act he grabbed a line throwing gun and headed to the stern with a 📣. Ok listen up , I amgoi g to launch this line towds your boat. But I will only be allowing you to be towed behind due to current circumstances. I will also send blankets and food and water for two days while I observe you if I see any sign of infection I'm cutting the line understand. He could see the small children nodding .

Strange they all look like there wearing girl scout uniforms were they all on an outing he thought. The girl in front quickly grabbed the line and tied it off to the bow of the fishing boat. Then after Edward came back he hooked up a basket to the line and started to send them blankets food and water. The children nodded thankfully and started passing the items to each other.

Well so far so good, thought edward they seem to follow instructions well hopefully nothing changes over 2 days. I feel like an asset I can't take the risk of them being infected. I will also have to slow this boat to about 3 knots so as not to make there journey rougher than iy has to be.

Heading back to thebridge he found the cameras on the stern and aimed them at the boat. Just to be safe he told himself.

And he noted down the time in his log book. I will also send them food and water every 8 hours I must no ration my supplies since I have passengers. He then set his alarm and went to bed
