Chapter 9- Blood
~ P.O.V. Of Roen ~
After my magnificent battlecry I immediately set up a blood barrier using the blood I had collected on the way here.
I sent the wolf form Engil off telling him to set fire to the houses and round up all the woman and children in a wide open area. I used a spell from my Soulmancer techniques called 'perfect mirror' in which I use unliquidated souls and create copies on themselves that follow my every order. Of course the abilities of the copies and appearances depend on the quality of the soul. Anyways I sent out my ethereal wolves because I was too lazy to hunt for everyone, but I personally made my way towards what I believe is the commerce district. Sending my wolves to quickly clean up the trash. However I hear laughter. Thinking someone has gone crazy I show my appearance, which stops the chaos for some reason, and look over to find a person with green eyes and green hair they have a slightly tanned skin that looks kinda like dirt. Is this a dirt-grass man? There is a strong soul signature coming from him. He reminds me of some unpleasant memories. Ahhhh my mood has soured. It's cool it's cool just keep smiling.
"Who, what are you?" An injured man comes up to me and asks a stupid question. Ugh I don't really wanna waste my time here. I just wanna meet that dirt-grass man and leave with my day.
"Your ending." I simply reply because since he took his time to ask me a question I should be polite and give him the truth with a smile.
Then another rude man appeared. He was a sorcerer like those white clothed men except he used a different rune. He is obviously more suited for combat than those ones I killed earlier, however he is still weak. At first I let him come because I am still intrigued by this new form of spells and the concept of aura. Engil thinks I use aura and convinced himself that is why I over power him. What an idiot. He trains in his aura when he should train his body and mind. Oh well it's fun to watch him squirm around and his comments give me a sense of closeness, so he's not useless. As expected of my #1 servant.

After looking at the man's techniques for awhile I, still confused over the whole aura thing. Ah things come in time. Gotta get back to repairing my damaged soul, aura can wait for later. At that I decided to end the man with my newly made technique. I imagined thousands of spears, but right now my skills with utilizing blood and bone are quite non existent compared to my soul spells. It took longer than expected, but the skill did it's job so I was quite pleased. Now getting serious I asked the prisoner,"Why were you laughing earlier?"
"They do not deserve my pity, I laughed because I only have hatred for them." Listening to him I was somewhat reminded of myself. Sighing on the inside I asked him a question I already knew the answer to,
"Fair enough, freedom is sweet no?"
"Excuse me?" Apparently my question caught him off guard, but that's only secondary I'll be quiet and let the thought sink in.
"Get freedom with your own hands." Saying that, I broke him out of his prison and gave him a weapon made from my bone cloak. He seemed very surprised by my actions, but I could feel the determination coming from the depths of his soul. There was a slight resonance that vibrated my soul. That's... Interesting...
Watching the dirt-grass man in dirty rags calmly stab the wounded to death and end the lives of those unconscious, I remembered that resonance I felt earlier. Was it just my imagination? Oh well what's done is done it's not in my being to force my opinions on everyone. However he is entertaining, there seems to be small plants that trip, bind or strangle people. I guess that's a spell, but I fell no aura being used. Is it a race specific thing? As I thought he's an interesting specimen.

As Tyor finished off the last of the restrained men who had enslaved him, he felt as if a great weight was lifted off his shoulders. Turning around he gazed at the boy walking towards him. He quickly knelt down as he swore in his heart that he would follow this being of great power even if it cost him his life.
"Why are you kneeling?" Roen was a little confused.
"I am kneeling to my king." Tyor respectfully answered with a vast array of emotions surging in his voice. Seeing Roen's confused face Tyor continued,"What I mean is that I am from the race known as Thorns. We can only acknowledge one king and since you saved my life I will give it back to you."
"I see~ well it'd be rude of me to turn down your offer. You can call me Roen. What can I call you?" Roen is not one to turn down more servants, and he was already interested in the man from the race of Thorns. As the spear that was still in the hand of Tyor was absorbed back into Roen's gown, Tyor began to speak again,
"Responding to my king, I am known as Tyor. As I have already said I am from the race of Thorns. I shall serve you to the best of my ability," Thinking about something for a second Tyor added,"Also I don't swing that way."
Tyor's serious face stared straight at Roen. There was a silence.
"Alright then." Roen then cut his wrist and some blood started to trickle out of the wound. His gown formed into a small chalice that caught the spilling blood. He then passed the chalice over to Tyor.
"Drink." On the command Tyor took the chalice and downed the thick red liquid without a second thought. Watching his actions Roen nodded silently. Tyor felt a warm feeling spread out from his body as the blood seemed to become absorbed by his body. There was a stinging pain that came from the top of his head, and several blood red barbs started poking through his scalp making it seem as if Tyor was wearing a blood red crown. A presence that resembled a king started to emit from the body Tyor, and he started to feel a slight tugging on his soul. Quickly discovering that he could feel a faint connection to his master.
Watching Tyor's transformation Roen had a bright smile on his face. Then he began to connect his soul to Tyor's. After he accomplished all that he could Roen began to walk towards the location Engil was currently at along with around a hundred untouched, fresh souls.
"Come, we'll test your abilities. I have a couple subjects for you." Roen said those words as he walked and Tyor, having finished his evolution, followed obediently.
