Sam woke up at 3 am, ate a light breakfast and went to the north gate. He arrived at 3:50, only to see his four companions already waiting for him.

He greeted the others " Good morning, let's immediately set out!"

Sam inspected the equipment of his companions while traveling. The twins wore new equipment, mostly leather armor, some parts reinforced with steel. Lina carried a new staff, Jack still wore his old equipment.

Sam lead his group directly to the hill next to Oakhausen so that they could take a look themselves.

15 to 20 orcs roamed in the few streets of the village.

" We have to stealthily enter the village and silently kill these orcs one after the other. We can't attack them head on." Sam said. " Two guards are standing at the gate and one orc archer keeps watch on a platform above the gate. Anna and Nina, I want you two to dispose of the two guards in front of the gate. Jack you shoot the archer with your skill. Wait for the twins to arrive before you shoot, so that you don't alarm the two orcs below the archer."

The twins and Jack started to move and get into position. Jack knocked an arrow when he reached a suitable distance and aimed for the enemy archer.

Anna and Nina sneaked through the bushes approaching the guards from left and right. When they were two meters away they charged out of the cover, rapidly approaching the confused orcs. They slipped under their arms arriving at their backs. They kicked to the back of the orcs knees, slicing their throats after they knelt down. Both of the orcs died silently drowning in their own blood. Sam looked shocked when he saw that scene.

' They actually used the same movements at the exact same time. They are a frightening combo.'

Jack had also used the moment the twins had appeared and fired his arrow, penetrating the archers right eye, making him fall over the railing. He landed on one of the already dead orcs. Sam went over dragging two orcs in the bushes a few meters away from the gate. Jack took the remaining one. No one noticed that Sam had no problems dragging two heavy orcs away, one in each hand.

Sam and Jack returned looking inside the village with the rest of the group.

Four orcs sat besides the gate, playing some sort of game. Sam couldn't see any more enemies from his position. He turned around and whispered " We have to kill these four orcs quickly. I don't see other orcs right now but they might be inside the buildings ready to attack if someone alarms them. Three orcs are already missing, four of we include the scout I killed yesterday. This will be noticed soon, so we have to take the chance and kill this group as quick as possible! You stay in the back and do nothing for now, Linda. Your spells are too loud and important, let's save them for an emergency. The rest of us will take on one enemy each. I will leave my shields with you Linda and fight with my hands. I am too slow and loud with the shields, I will leave them here to increase my speed."

The others looked at Sam with skeptical eyes, but no one voiced their doubts of him fighting without a weapon. They trusted him to the point they didn't ask for explanations all the time.

After explaining everything Sam began the charge. Anna and Nina ran past him, taking the lead. Jack ran until he was 30 meters away from the orcs and aimed at the one wearing a quiver on his waist. He loosened his fingers sending the arrow on its way. It hit the throat of the archer who opened his eyes trying to catch a breath before slowly bleeding out. The remaining orcs stood up turning into the human groups direction. Two of the orcs only got the chance to open their eyes and try to scream before two daggers entered their mouths, stabbing through the back of their heads.

The twins had instantly killed two opponents again!

Sam arrived in front of the remaining orc, who wielded a steel sword.

Sam focused on his opponent blending out his environment. When the orc started to lift his sword and open his mouth Sam began his attack as well.

He swiftly grabbed the hand holding the sword while swinging a punch right into the orcs face.

His actions looked normal but the power he used was much stronger than the orc had expected.

The punch made the orc shut his mouth and take a step back, but his arm was still held by Sam.

Sam punched another two times before slamming the orc into the ground. He took the steel sword and slowly pressed it into the orcs neck.

A cruel smile appeared on Sam's face for a moment, before quickly disappearing again.

Sam stood up looking at his comrades.

" Level 10 is really something, to think you could kill an orc on your own, only using its own weapon." Jack exclaimed.

Linda nodded on the side.

" Sooo strong!! "

" Woooow you are awesome Sam!!"

The twins hugged Sam's arms while smiling at him.

Sam smiled at the sisters patting their heads after they had let go of his arms.

" We don't have time for that right now. Let's move over to that building first. We can rest for a bit and wait for another patrol to arrive." Sam told them and walked towards a small wooden house.

It was empty inside, so they sat down on the ground resting for a few minutes.

They could hear sounds approaching after a while. Sam looked through a gap to see what was going on.

Six orcs approached, two of them holding longbows and three of them holding spears. The last one wore a steel breastplate and held a short sword in each hand.

' It's the boss!'

Sam turned around and hurriedly whispered " The boss has arrived, we have to kill him right now. No need to be silent anymore. We dispose of them quickly, let one of you reach Level 10 and escape through the gate before the rest of their group arrives here!"

Sam quickly made up a plan before leaving the building together with his group. They were only 30 meters away from the orcs who were looking at the corpses of their fallen comrades.

Linda quickly formulated a spell, shooting a lightning bolt wit a loud noise. Two orcs lay on the floor immediately afterwards. They were charred black and trembling on the ground until they finally died.

The orc boss reacted and ordered his underlings to attack. The leader itself charged at Linda but was intercepted by Sam who was holding his shields again.

Jack needed two arrows until he hit the heart of one orc who only had a spear to defend himself. The twins fought against two spear wielding orcs but couldn't get an advantage. They as assassins were dependent on the element of surprise, in a head to head fight they had to search for an opening and avoid getting hit, especially when facing powerful opponents like orcs.

Sam spoke through the guild chat.

" I will bash him away from me in a moment, Linda and Jack, you two attack him together, whoever hits the finishing blow gets to level up!"

Linda and Jack nodded with tense expressions.

Sam, who had used his two shield to defend against the two short swords until now, pushed the orc leader in a moment between two of his strikes and gained a distance of three meters.

Sam took another step back, when an arrow and something resembling a spear made of lightning passed him.

Both attacks hit the unguarded face of the boss monster. The head exploded because of the spell and shortly after Linda wore a happy smile.

She had killed the monster and reached Level 10.

Jack looked disappointed for a moment but clasped Linda's hand afterwards congratulating her. He knew he would get another chance and that Level 10 was only the beginning.

Sam helped Anna and Nina to kill the two remaining orcs.

Their group could hear trampling coming from afar and decided to retreat first. They ran into a forest outside the village and found a place to rest for a minute.

Jack asked Sam " What do you want to do now? Clear this village or return to Blackstone city for now?"

Sam thought for a bit and wanted to answer when the world turned dark.

' It seems the day of the patch has arrived!'
