Carrot, as always, woke before Ulen. She did not stretch or move in any way lest she wake him. The bond he had made with her was incredible! She closed her eyes and cuddled that warm sleeping glow in her mind wanting to dive in and immerse herself in him. It was the fact that never again would she ever feel alone that truly made her love Ulen with everything she had with that thought she fell asleep again.

Ulen woke slowly. He felt incredibly relaxed and more than a little smug at the complete success of his bonding ritual and his activities with Carrot's very enthusiastic cooperation. He did think that Carrot's and his addiction to the shared sense of pleasure might be a problem later, after all regular sex paled in comparison. Thinking of her he studied her sleeping face so close to his own. Her refined beauty made him wonder just how picky other tamers could be to not want her because of a tiny flaw like mismatched eyes. As he continued looking he thought her face and body glowed more than the noon sun could account for. Completely naked, lying on a bed of moss and her skin giving off a pale golden glow she looked like a nature goddess. Especially with the faint smears of green on her skin from the moss they had been using as a bed.

He felt a certain part of him harden with his thoughts. Given the proximity of their bodies it couldn't help but touch her right under her navel. He scolded himself didn't you get enough last night? He carefully tried to pull away. Carrot's arms tightened then released and pushed him onto his back. She was awake! A smile of greeting and delight on her face at his heat and hardness. She straddled him smoothly and had herself wrapped around his heat in a single slow wet move. 'Ok maybe regular sex is still good.', Ulen thought to himself repudiated his earlier musing. They lay like that for awhile neither wanting to disturb the glow they were sharing. But, it couldn't last both stomachs started growling with insistent force.

'I guess we should head back and eat.', Ulen sent not wanting to walk back.

'Sigh.(yes she thought 'sigh') Carry me.', Carrot languidly sent back with an image of Ulen holding her princess style. He responded immediately with the image of an electrified cartoon rabbit. She responded by licking and nibbling on his right nipple while rubbing herself on his slowly rehardening cock. Enough was enough. Ulen conjured the coldest water he could and dumped it on both of them. Carrot yelped and jumped off him. Ulen's rekindled fire was effectively doused.

Still pouting at the underhanded water trick Carrot slowly got dressed, but she still helped Ulen with the straps for his leg. Both done dressing, they checked their weapons and took a last fond look at their first shared bed. Before heading back to the tamer center.

They walked through the woods Carrot on Ulen's right. Ulen suggested that they share senses while walking to get used to it while they were still inside the ritual site's barrier. It did not go smoothly Carrot was disoriented by Ulen's lack of depth perception and Ulen was bewildered by Carrot's. Carrot's hearing, sense of smell and sight where both better than Ulen's so he found himself jumping at ordinary shadows and distant cries. The main problem was that their sight wasn't spilt but overlayed on top of each other causing them to run into trees and trip over roots. Ulen realized that if they were both moving trying to control two bodies with shared sight was simply too difficult. Even with training it would be impractical in most situations, one of them would have to block their sight and use the other's for it to be effective. Hearing and smell were another matter sharing those did not affect them adversely. Ulen was surprised by the huge amount of information Carrot's heightened senses presented him.

She could pick up scents that his painfully limited, in comparison, human sense could never have detected. Unfortunately, the first thing he noticed was that they really needed to bath, they reeked of sex and sweat. They should bath when they get back. He was fascinated that with Carrot's senses he could tell what had been in the area recently, even identify whether it was animal, human, monster or D-Girl. He was puzzled by that after all he didn't have the knowledge or experience to tell scents apart. He realized that Carrot did and so they discovered the most important aspect of the bond.

They could share memories and knowledge instantly. Unlike, the Lightning system spell the Blue Vortexia had used, this knowledge didn't feel foreign and could be used immediately. It was like they had a shared pool of knowledge that both could draw on. The only limitation was that it only included their own personal knowledge. Unlike knowledge, memories where more problematic. They had to actively want to share them for the other to see them. Ulen was pretty certain that as the master of the bond he could forcefully gain Carrot's memories but that would have been a profound violation of her privacy and trust so he didn't try.

The shared sense of hearing also had a few minor problems. It was difficult to tell where a certain sound originated from. Was it from Carrot's left or Ulen's right? This was compounded by Carrot's superior hearing. She could hear sounds that humans couldn't and this intrigued Ulen. His hearing told him the wood was mostly quiet with some distant faint sounds. Carrot's hearing told him that there were insects crawling under the dry leaves and the, to his hearing, faint sounds were actually a wild D-Girl fighting a monster over prey. Sounded like the monster would win. If this wasn't a preserve it might have been a good idea to go and finish the monster off then capture the wounded girl. But Ulen didn't have permission to hunt in this area. So they wouldn't have gotten anything thing except trouble for a dead monster and captured D-Girl.

Ignoring the faint sounds, the pair continued on their way anticipating the food at the end. They had traveled for about 45 minutes when a sudden shift in wind direction alerted them that there was a D-Girl behind them and closing fast.

*Sniff* No she was practically on top of them! Both turned and Carrot stepped in front of Ulen drawing her sword the gun would be useless at this range. Carrot was nervous she had had never seriously fought another D-Girl before. Ulen cursed himself for not having realized that walking through a preserve reeking of sex was not a bright idea. The smell was most likely driving the poor thing to seek the source of it. It would have only taken a minute to wash themselves off at the site or while they were still in the barrier! He had gotten too distracted by playing with the bond to think straight! No, he admitted to himself, he had allowed his success with the ritual and Carrot's obvious respect for him, to become arrogance and forget his usual caution that his injuries normally reminded him of. Now he and Carrot would have to kill this poor D-Girl if she didn't get them first. Ulen might be safe she was looking for taming but she would definitely kill Carrot and might end up killing him by mistake.

They both tensed when they saw a shadow under the trees and waited for the wild girl to step out. She stepped out only a few yards from them and they got a good look at her. She was a Black Bearette the strongest of the D-Girls present in this preserve. Not the strongest of the bear type D-Girls but faster than the other types. She would be a handful for any starter D-Girl for Carrot with her abysmal stats any mistake would be her end. Like most D-Girls she was attractive if she wasn't naked and dirty. She was over six feet tall with long messy black hair with bear ears on the side, strong even features, impressive muscles and at least a D sized bust. She had a few minor injuries from a previous fight that looked like they stung but wouldn't slow her down. She sniffed the air and then looked at Ulen with such blatant need that Carrot and Ulen both felt pity for her. The inexperienced Carrot froze for a sec and Ulen regretted the laws that governed the preserve. The Bearette charged the instant they dropped their guard.

She moved with a speed and ferocious grace that belied her size. She crossed the short distance through the sparse forest to envelope Carrot into a spine breaking hug. Carrot caught off guard could only barely avoided the death embrace but her dodge left her unbalanced and with not enough time to recover. The bearette swatted the smaller Bunny Girl sending her flying into a nearby tree trunk with a dull thud. She fell to ground stunned by the powerful impact dropping her sword and would have a huge bruise later. She was otherwise fine?

Ulen saw Carrot hit the tree and used a combination of wind and water magic to slide across the ground on a cushion of vapor behind the Bearette who reacted with frightening speed immediately trying to get him into an embrace that could very well turn fatal. Ulen raised his left hand in front of her eyes and released a blinding flash of light and a thunderous boom, deafening and blinding the Bearette. If Carrot had been able to he would have tried to escape with a reasonable chance of success. While the Bearette was out of it he slid around behind her again and charged up an Electric Touch to deliver a maximum power jolt directly into her. He didn't use the gun because it might not kill her. The spell ready he placed his hand on her naked back and delivered the charge right into her spine. It would fry her spinal cord resulting in instant death. She screamed as the deadly voltage crawled into her and reflexively turned launching a full power punch at Ulen. Thankfully her aim was off instead of hitting his chest and shattering his rib cage she hit a weak glancing blow to his right shoulder more than enough to snap the bone, dislocate his arm and send him spiraling into the dirt in agony. He clenched his teeth so hard the gums bled to keep from screaming. He saw Carrot rise a murderous look on her beautiful face then felt like all his energy left him at once and fell unconscious.

The Bearette had survived Ulen's spell but was twitching uncontrollably from the spell with power equivalent to a lightning bolt delivered at point blank range right into her spine. The high M-Defense and vitality of her breed allowed her to survive it and launch a uncoordinated instinctive counter. Carrot saw the Bearette land a clumsy hit on her Ulen. His arm was folded almost into the middle of his back as he landed on it. The explosion of his pain in her mind filled her sight with a red haze. She had wasn't thinking she wanted to murder this bitch. She instinctively drew as much power as she could from the source she had gained form the the bonding. It came rushing into her seemingly limitless. Making her feel like fire was flowing in her veins. All her senses heightened even further and she could suddenly see her opponent's energy flowing through her body. She knew that this was the flow of magic and life force, but more importantly she saw were to strike.

With a speed that she shouldn't have she struck the Bearette's chest right where her heart was shocking it into stillness with a blow filled with power she shouldn't be capable of. The Bearette clutched her chest looked at Carrot with pleading crying eyes like she wanted to be spared. She took a step back as her lips turned blue still looking in Carrot's eyes and fell down dead. Carrot held her gaze the whole time until she fell. Carrot then went to Ulen when she saw he was breathing but unconscious she picked him up and carried him to the tamer center for treatment. The Bearette's eyes would haunt her at night for a long, long, time.

Carrot cradled her Ulen agonizing over how small, frail and young he seemed without the deep presence that normally made him seem larger and older than he was as she frantically ran to the tamer center. Anyone who knew what her stats looked like would have doubted their knowledge if they had seen the sheer speed and agility Carrot showed while easily dodging trees and their roots never once jarring her Ulen's arm.
