《The Fragile Monster Lord》Chapter 25 The Irony

Gobusaku, gobuhiko and me were currently running towards the area where the 4 people were located at since we started moving they never changed their position and instead decided to take a break for some reason in the end i figured out that they decided to stay and search again for the wolf.
We ran for another 10 minutes or so and started to slow down as to not make any sound because we were starting to get really close to them the only person who i was alert about was the rogue he had some kind of detection skill that could potentially ruin my whole plan but i still had an option for that.
We were now standing 50 meters away from their camp through the surveillance slimes i could see that they made a small fire to warm themselves up but other then that they stayed quiet in their whole ordeal and just ate some dried rations i could see that they weren’t the best friends nor do they know each other very well meaning their companion ship was non-existing they were obviously following orders from someone out of fear…
I had already discussed the plan to gobuhiko and gobusaku and told them to stay put once they see the signal i also prepared some slimes for emergency situations the plan i was about to do was a bit risky but it was also the most likely to succeed.
And without a further a do i started stripping my clothing…
-ehh…ahh
Both of the female goblins made a flustered sound when i started to take off my clothing they even looked the other way and i could see a strand of red on their dark skin as they looked away but i also noticed they were taking a lot of glances back here… i didn’t really care and just stripped half naked to my underwear and started walking towards the group…let the act begin…i thought to myself.
========================================================
-Hello ! Anyone !
I yelled while i started walking towards the campfire with nothing but my underwear it was really breezy so i held myself to keep warm for a bit i tried to look as troubled as i could and keep my voice nervous in all times and as i yelled i could see the 3 guys standing up looking at my direction as i walked out of the bushes in the open.
They looked very surprised when they saw me almost drawing their weapons but not just yet so i quickly said in a relieved manner.
-Finally ! I found some people...ehh can you help me please !
They looked confused when they saw me half-naked but when they noticed that i was unarmed and clueless they stopped their approach to their weapons and the rogue even started smiling at me...good.
-who are you ? where did you come from ?
The warrior asked he had a very amused grin on his face as he said so.
-I am from oaklahoma where are we ? i remember i was sleeping in my bed and then suddenly i just woke up here...i was actually starting to think i was dreaming until i realized this was real...ehm can you help me please ?
The 3 of them looked at each other and made some small gestures and after another few seconds the rogue said with a nasty smile.
-Come here we can help you...
I almost wanted to smile but made a nervous grin instead as i approached them as planned. Now the reason i was half naked was for this reason all together i wanted to look as harmless as possible without looking suspicious because i was half naked and explained myself from the beginning they probably assumed that i was a completely new person who was transported here and wouldn't suspect me because i didn't have anything to begin in this kind of situation there were 2 things that were most likely to happen number 1 would be that they would attack me regardless of who i was and number 2 was...to recruit me.In this wild forest you would need any help possible meaning any newly transported person could become a member of a specific group to help them survive and honestly saying i was also quiet nervous when i approached them thinking that they could attack me but i was lucky they didn't

Another reason i used this approach was because any other approach was a bit too risky not that this approach wasn't risky its just that any other option like using a direct assault or ambush was probably useless because of the detection skills this rogue possessed. I also didn't quite know what kind of strength each of them had so attacking them blindly was also a dumb idea meaning i needed to somehow deceive his detection skills to be able to surprise them and right now that chance was opening up to me,as i started to walk to them they were clueless of my intention and weren't touching their weapons at all leaving their guards way too much open...and at the very moment i stepped into the rogues reach i quickly swung my hand towards his throat while opening the storage and pulling out a dagger at the same time.
I didn't know what kind of strength they had individually but i judged it through the mangled body of the crimson wolf guessing they needed quiet some time to take it down with 3 people so i assumed they were at least 2-3 levels higher then me but because i had outstanding speed i was also sure i could somehow catch them off guard in blank point distance and as i predicted i was able to slice the throat of the rogue in lightning speed he wasn't able to respond meaning i was much faster then him by a very large margin.
They were surprised for a second at my sudden movement until they realized their comrade was bleeding from his throat when he suddenly knelt down next to them but unfortunately he wasn't going to die...remember my strength is only a measly 10.03 points right ?
-bastard !
-I kill you you son of a bitch !
Enraged the first one to react was the warrior as he drew his greatsword at me followed by the black robed guy who raised his staff at me and concerning the rogue he was still on the ground not moving at all as if he had just died which he wasn't.The reason for that was because of the dagger i used to slash him with, the whole point of me trying to damage the enemy wasn't to kill them but to poison and paralyze them i knew very well i couldn't kill someone much higher level then me with a measly 10 strength so what i did instead was cover the blade of the dagger with poison and paralyzes drugs through the help of the different slimes that evolved and there was another good reason i aimed for the rogue remember the first problem i had ? The detection skills ?Now their gone.
-ARHH !
With a loud roar the warrior used his big sword to slash me in two but he was slow and missed me miserably as i step to the side i aimed my dagger precisely to his exposed flesh as i stabbed him under his throat making him scream.
Now fully enraged he made a horizontal slash forcing me to retreat from my position and as i jumped back i could see him wobble in his stance his legs were shiver and he lost his grip to his greatsword making it fall down and with it came his body the paralyze poison was sure effective i thought.
-Don't forget about me asshole !
Roared the mage as he was about finish his spell but as i stood watching him i wasn't worried about him and looked straight into his eyes fearlessly i could see bafflement in his expression but he didn't stop channeling his spell and as he was about to finish.

-URGGGHH !
A scream could be heard in the forest followed by the sound of a body falling down to the ground but...it wasn't me thou...
-(Cough Cough Cough)
The mage started coughing up some blood as he stood at all fours he was surprised and clueless for a moment not being able to understand what just happened to him and right at that moment he could hear the sound of footsteps behind him...he turned his head and saw 2 individuals with dark green skin both of which looked like little girls between the age of 8 to 12 both of them held daggers as they watching him coldly with a vicious smile on their lips...
-How...
The mage asked and after another second it dawned on him as he looked at his companion the rogue who was now disabled for the moment...without their main scout they weren't able to predict the surprise attack from behind on top of that their teamwork was very bad the warrior was enraged and mindlessly charged at me leaving the mage unprotected from any danger. He was even hindering the mage by doing so because the warrior was standing right in front of him making it impossible to aim at me giving him no other choice but to wait...like really the whole point of a warrior is to protect their main damage dealers to give them enough time to prepare their attack in which he totally failed in and so in the end the mage was almost ready to use his spell until gobusaku and gobuhiko impaled him at the back interrupting his spell and also disabling him using paralyzes which was covered over their daggers...
-ughh..
In the end the effects of paralyzes were taking effect as he collapsed on the ground limb...
I sighed and sat down the fight was over i didn't even need to use the slimes which i was glad about...i glanced at the warrior for a second honestly the whole reason these guys lost just now was because of their horrible teamwork if they would have been organized to a basic level i was sure they would be able to at least subdue us.
Anyways first of all i ordered the goblin girls to put off the fire so we wouldn't get spotted while they were doing so i was putting back my clothes on but i could still feel their glances over me as i put on my clothes making me shiver once or twice...
When i finished changing i looked towards the 3 paralyzed guys...i didn't know how long the effect of the paralyze liquid was but i needed to be fast.
-Gobusaku,gobuhiko kill the mage and when your finished bind the rogue to the tree if he tries to escape kill him.
I gave the order and gave them the rope to bind him they nodded and quickly moved towards the mage stabbing him a couple times you could hear squishy disgusting sounds while they did it and after another 5 seconds the mage died...

~Goblin.LvL.9 Gobuhiko has turned into Goblin.LvL.10 Gobuhiko~[Conditions are met evolution possible into:Hob-Goblin.LvL.1]
I dismissed those two messages and just looked towards the warrior who was still lying down on the ground with not a single movement...i shivered for a bit while i approached him my hand was gripped onto the dagger and i knew i needed to kill him and be done with it...
Even thought his body was paralyzed i could see his eyes moving around towards me his eyes were showing fear and despair as he watched the dagger in my hand i could almost see a pleading light begging me not to kill him...but there was no other way around it...
I knelt before him and raised the dagger and closed my eyes i made it quick and repeatedly stabbed his back with the dagger gripping it harder and harder after every stab fearing i would lose the tension on my hand if did not do so and because my strength wasn't high enough it took another full minute to kill him...

After the text messages popped out i quickly threw the bloodied dagger away and started shivering, panting really hard...i wanted to vomit but i held it in because i knew food was precious and after another minute i calmed down...
I looked at my bloodied hands i could see them shiver very so slightly and then i looked at the warrior which was now a lifeless corpse...
-So pathetic...
I muttered mocking myself...you see this is the very first time i had ever killed a real human being...i know i killed a lot of beasts and goblins but the thing was i never did the killing personally and mostly just ordered them around i also never killed a real human being so i felt it was okey to kill anything else it sounds bad i know... i wanted to avoid that subject as much as possible so i always made myself busy to something like my research but deep down i knew someday i had to do it and this was the perfect chance to do so...the reason i ambushed these guys was because they were dangerous if they somehow found out about my place and reported it back to their base who knows what could have happened and to add another thing i needed to learn how to kill not how to hide...of course killing something not human sounds very hypocritical from me but the thing was i never said i wasn't a hypocrite in the first place. Why should i ? I knew i wasn't and lying to myself wasn't going to change anything this world i was in was full of hypocrites who openly admitted it so why should i be different ?
I took a deep breath and steadied myself...i wasn't like blondy who runs away from reality showing myself the truth of the situation early was much better then doing it late.
I sighed once again and picked up the bloodied dagger from the ground and stood up.
-Lord...
Gobusaku and gubuhiko both looked at me worried because of me but i tried to smile at them but failed miserably...
-it..its okay i am alright...
The two of them seemed like they wanted to rebuke but didn't do so and just nodded staying a bit closer to me then usually.
I looked towards the rogue now his head was hung low as he sat stiff, bound onto a tree the goblins girls took their time and robbed him to his underwear it was truly ironic how he ended up like this and after another 10 minutes he was finally free from the paralyzes as he moved his head towards me with a frightened and angry expression on his he growled so i asked with a slight grin.
-Do you need some help there buddy ?

There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
