《The Fragile Monster Lord》Chapter 26 Calarel Aelasar

The rogue shivered for a bit seeing the sharp edge of the dagger sliding down his throat only touching not cutting just yet,the cold metal was 2 times colder with his fear combined as he glanced at his now gone 2 companions who were lying down dead.
-What do you want !
He screamed at me obviously trying to resist his fear but i gripped the dagger harder to his throat mistakenly making him bleed a drop of blood...he visibly paled from the pain but didn't start screaming but quieted down a lot.I smiled at him and asked him one simple question.
-I need information first of all who are you ?
When i asked it seemed like he was conflicted if he should answer my question he stared at the dagger that i was holding at his throat and spat out.
-How do i know you won't kill me after i laid out everything...
-Very well i won't kill you
-ehh..
He was a bit dumbfounded by my sudden answer but he didn't try to say anything further we were stuck like this for another 5 seconds until i snapped my finger at him.
-Are you going to talk ? Or do i have to speed up the process ?
I put more force into the dagger making him flinch for a second. The two girls beside me were still taking guard to make sure we weren't ambushed by anything i could feel their confusion for some reason probably because i was talking in a different language then them the skill was really confusing sometimes because i had no clue how to control it every time i used it,it would activate automatically for me to understand the language and being able to speak that language i could hear every sentence i spoke in goblin language which was very far from actually english but now i was talking english with this guy.
The guy was obviously panicked and quietly said.
-Alright alright don't ! i will talk !I..i come from the colony !
I was a bit confused...the "colony" ?
Seeing my confused expression the rogue quickly followed it up by another sentence.
-We are a group that gathers other survivors that were transported to this place..anyways my name is...
I held my palm up and told him.
-I don't need your name idiot
I interrupted him making him obviously frustrated but he swallowed it down so i asked him again.
-What kind of group are you ?
-I told you we are transported people who help...
I gripped the dagger harder making him cry out of pain and as i did so i pointed at the little girl who had the sack over her face her arms and legs were tied together as she tried to be as quiet as possible to be not noticed.
-You know very well what i am talking about ! don't try to play with me i don't take jokes very well dumbass
He followed my finger looking at the girl a bit sour as he said.
-She..she is a gift...for a our leader...
-Steven ?
He was a bit surprised when i said the name of their leader but soon realized something and sighed and nodded his head and continuing to talk further about this "colony".
And like this we stayed at this place for around an hour or so taking every bit of information this guy had to offer he more then once tried to lie in which i just punched him to the gut making him tell the truth through force.
Now the short version of the story goes like this they are a group of survivors living in a cave to the north their numbers are a total of 30 people 11 of which are males and 19 of which are females they work in a hierarchy system and it seems like the woman are treated lower then dogs over there...their leader called "steven" is their highest level him being level 5 which in my opinion wasn't high because i was level 4 already he also told me information about each individual male in their group and what they were capable of which took most of the time anyways i wasn't interested in their treatment to woman and what they do to them i only wanted to know what their goal was...and when i asked him that he said..."i don't know" which was quiet baffling for a group that wants to survive...and then i asked another question about their situation which surprised me even more...

-...
From what i understood their group is starving and the reason for that is their all so strong leader can't procure any food from the forest and no one is brave enough to go kill anything they also can't collect any fruits or vegetables because they weren't able to discern the difference between poison and non-poison food. One of their previous members once ate a apple like purple fruit giving him food poisoning and in the end killing him all together in horrible pain..I suddenly felt very blessed to have met the rabbit in the forest...
The reason they are still alive is because they eat some of the bugs and small animals they catch by sheer luck other then that their water supplies are really low and getting to a river is very far from their base making everyone refuse to travel that distance fearing their life...
And that was it i also asked where they procured the equipment they had and he answered by telling me they found it on corpses in middle of the forest while scouting for a little...this topic was actually interesting it told me that there is civilization far away from this place...not that i didn't believe it i just found it interesting because it proved my thoughts for a second.
I sighed for a second and took a deep breath i had already calmed down a lot,the shock from actually killing someone was still there but i didn't have the feeling to throw up anymore...the rogue seeing my relieved face saw it as a sign of satisfaction as he asked me.
-Can i leave now ?
I thought for a bit i needed one more answer to a question.
-Wait a bit, what are you doing here ?
The rogue thought for a second and quickly said.
-I am here because steven wants a really high ranked i don't know anything else i swear !
I could hear his voice once again getting agitated he probably felt confident that he wans't going to die and thats why he had so much guts to speak up to me but i have to tell you this never let your guard down in your enemies presence.
I moved the edge of the dagger away from his throat and instead slit the rope setting him free the rogue didn't dare to stand up until i backed up a little bit and as i moved away from him i could feel his mouth shaping into a stupid grin...something was wrong.Gobusaku and gobuhiko already drew their daggers about to charge at him as he raised his palm towards me small light particles started to appear as he shouted at me.
-DIE !
As he was about to shoot his spell at me i could feel everything the world slowing down on my eyes i wasn't sure if it was the high adrenalin shot that came to my brain or the skills that i had that allowed me to see everything in slow motion but...i knew i was screwed...he had already prepared his spell while we were talking which was very impressing on top of that dodging right now was impossible and the goblins girls wouldn't be able to catch up either...haha so this is how ends huh ?
I closed my eyes...i really didn't want to see those sad faces before i died or maybe i was still a coward who doesn't wants to face reaility...
(Whoosh!~TUNG)
I could feel a slight breeze passing by my left ear followed by a whistle something had passed me i could feel it... and the next second there was a scream...not mine thou.

-ARGHH..
I was a bit puzzled...what just happened..I slightly opened my eyes to see what just happened and when i focused my eyes for a bit i saw it...the rogue..he was dead impaled into the tree something like a spear made out of dark matter was drilled onto his chest area pinning him onto the tree...i could see his mouth-watering up full of blood as his eyes were slowly going off losing all light...i stepped back couple times out of confusion and tripped by mistake...i was almost in disbelieve. The 2 girls were evenly confused but relieved at the same time seeing him dead.
-Lord sorron
I flinched for a second and quickly stood up the voice i heard was strange it was deep but womanly alluring to hear as i turned around and as i did so i could see the silhouette of a person hiding under the shadows of the trees walking up to me the girls were a bit panicked but quickly moved and stood in front of me as to shield me...but for some reason i didn't think she was hostile nor dangerous towards us...i was baffled because i could feel a bond between us...
I looked at her intently as she revealed herself to the light her most striking features were her long white hair that spanned to her back she had deep red eyes and her statue was the same as me 5 to 6 feet her skin was very dark but i could see a faint green mixed into it,her body was almost identical to a 18 year old teenage girl but her face was truly a work of art as it contorted beauty and coldness combined...who was she why do we have a...wait i looked at her closer and noticed one thing her clothes, she wore the same identical yellow-brown village clothes that i had on..i was surprised for a second and took a guess..
-Goboku ?
I asked a bit scared of the answer...
The beautiful woman nodded her head and smiled sweetly saying.
-I have ranked up to a Hob-Goblin thanks to you lord sorron...i hope you like what you see...
She said shyly but it felt like she was commending me with her deep womanly voice it was almost hypnotizing to listen to..i shook my head for a second and made a slight smile laughing for a bit.
The 2 goblin girls in front of me also calmed down and started smiling walking up to their now evolved comrade there was a light of admiration in their eyes as they examined goboku from head to toe but i only could shake my head helplessly its not like you two aren't going to evolve i thought both of their levels already capped out meaning they were going to evolve.
I sighed and left the girls to themselves i once again turned around and looked at the rogue who was impaled onto the tree the spear of dark matter was now gone his corpse had slid down onto the ground lifeless...eyes closed his body was starting to cool down stiffing up as i looked at him a bit troubled...i lied i am sorry even without goboku's intervention i wasn't going to let you go i would have ordered the 2 girls to kill...
I sighed once again a bit annoyed how the things turned out but on the other hand there were a lot of pluses such as equipment, information and growth of strength which were really key in our situation.
As i was in the middle of my thoughts i could feel the warm touch of someone grabbing onto my shoulder very gently i was a bit surprised and turned around meeting face to face with the new goboku i was a bit dazed seeing her new appearance which looked really grown up making me a bit flustered previously when i looked at her i always thought of her as a little sister because of her doll like appearance of a child but now she looked like a young adult to me...
-Lord sorron can you give me my name ?
I was a bit puzzled by her question until she explained to me that when a goblin evolves their names also change accordingly i didn't really mind so i just gave her the name hoboku not much change other then the gob turning into a hob hoboku also seemed satisfied about her name and hugged me squeezing her bountiful bosom onto me.....they sure grow fast...i thought.
After the hugging session ended that lasted for 2 minutes i looked around the area for a bit the air was drowned in the smell of blood that came from the corpses i was surprised that there were no animals drawn to the blood but that was only luck we should leave the area as soon as we could this wouldn't keep up forever but first of all.
I looked towards the left side of the tree my gaze fell onto the body of a child with a sack on her head her legs and arms were tied together and she didn't make one sound or movement but i could see her flinch for a second when i laid my eyes on her.I started moving towards her casually gripping the dagger in my hand i crouched down and cut down her ties and finally pulled the sack from her head revealing a little girl with dark ashen skin and brown eyes her ears were long and her hair was short as she looked at me fear in her eyes...she didn't try to run away or start shouting all of a sudden and just watched me confused she also took a couple glances around her noticing her captors dead bodies lying around the area making her fear even more but at the same time easing up for a bit.
(Cough Cough Cough)
I coughed for a bit to adjust my voice as i looked at the little girl who seemed obviously confused.I smiled at her with a kind smile making her smile a little bit too as i asked her in a very strange language.
-Don't worry little girl i am here to help you my name is sorron what is yours ?
The little girl obviously seemed surprised and baffled by my ability to fluently speak her language my other 3 companions also seemed to be a little puzzled but didn't try to interfere.I could see them still gripping onto their weapon vigilante even thought she was only a little child.
-My..my name is calarel aelasar and i come from the dark elf village..
Dark elf..she is a dark elf...I smiled for a bit the situation was getting slowly better it seemed.

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.

Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.
