As a beta-tester, you are allowed to either stay in the same location you are, or go to one of the starter cities.
"Stay here. Starter cities will be stock-full right now. Might as well grow a bit stronger and then leave with Stellar or Void magic." - Jayson
You have chosen to stay at Ourel Mines.
Hey Jayson, John here. For deciding to stay at the mines even though we gave you a perfect way to leave, here's a gift.
You have been given 100,000 Kill Coins.
*What the fuck? he gave me 100,000 for staying? That's dumb. I guess I may as well buy something with that now. I can buy Weapons, Armors, Skills, Cash, Materials, Stats, and Familiers/Connections. Let me check stats.*
Going into the Stats page, he saw that each stat point cost 10 Kill Coins. He could buy over 10,000 stat points right now, but that seemed a bit useless, even though it would get him much closer to Full's strength. He would compare himself to the other guy, but he still had no idea how strong he was.
Leaving the stats menu, he went into skills. He quickly went into the magic skills and looked at the ones for Gravity, Stellar, and Void Magic. Going down to the most expensive skills, he stopped. Though he couldn't afford any of them, he wanted to know what the last skill for each one was.
For Gravity Magic, the last skill was Hole. It allowed you to create either a black or white hole. It cost 157,500,000 Kill Coins. For Stellar Magic, it was Mass Drive. It allowed you to grab an object and launch it at the speed of light towards an opponent. It cost 160,000,000 Kill Coins.
The last two were both from Void Magic. The second most expensive: Fabric Bender. It allowed you to change the fabric of reality, It cost 450,000,000 Kill Coins.
Lastly, Void Rift. It allowed you to travel through Dimensions. Whatever that meant. Either way, he wouldn't buy it for a long time, with it's price of 27,000,000,000 Kill Coins. Whatever the skill did, it was extremely powerful.
*Yeah, let me go back to the beginner skills.*
Going back to the top, he saw something. For the skills he already had, he could pay to increase their levels. The cost was 2.5*Skill Level*8.So a level 100 skill, to bring to level 101, would cost 2,000 Kill Coins. Not worth it.
Going down a bit further, he decided to buy two Gravity Magic Skills. Repulse, which launched things away from him, and Attract, which pulled things towards him.
RepulseLevel 10%DescriptionPush things away from you with the power of Repulse. Current: Object with a mass less than 1 KG.
AttractLevel 10%DescriptionPull things towards you with the power of Attract. Current: Object with a mass less than 1 KG.
As he both the two, another pop-up appeared.
Gravity Magic has leveled to 2!
Gravity MagicLevel 20%DescriptionThe ability to control magic. With this you can well, control the gravity of a certain object. It can be used to make items lighter, or an opponent heavier.
*Hmmm. So if I'm right the more skills for each Magic type I have, the higher the level. But once again, that seems to have a max once you go past a certain level. If there are a total amount of skills... my kill store can create skills. I can level these skills as high as possible... not like they do anything either way.*
After spending the 1,240 Kill Coins on the skills, he got up and prepared to move to the second layer of the mines. He was strong enough to go down there and fight anything that attacked him, and if he wasn't, he could spend the 100,000 Kill Coins to give himself a quick boost.
He began to run down the tunnel. After a few minutes, he was back at the Mana Stone area. He continued running, and soon he felt that the ground was starting to slope downwards. As he ran, the stone around him slowly got darker, until it became closer to black than the gray it was previously. Not knowing when to stop, he continued running until he saw a flash at the edge of his sight.
Looking over, he saw a small purple spike poking out of the wall. Taking out his pick, he quickly mined into it. A chunk of the purple stone fell out and he analyzed it.
It was a stone called Violite. It was used as a focus for lasers according to his analysis. Quickly mining more, he was quickly given a level up in mining. Normal to beliefs, the better the ore you mine, the more xp for your skills you get. He quickly put it into the bag he had, and continued to mine into the vein of ore.
A few hours later, and the 1000 or so cubic meters had all been mined up. He had a hefty amount in his bag, but it was nowhere near what he would need. Sighing, realizing just now how dumb he was for not leaving to the starter city, he continued to mine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Without him knowing, time passed. At first a week, than two, than an in-game month. Outside, not even a week had passed, but for him, he had been mining non-stop, trying to gain more strength to eventually escape this mine.
He was currently on the 7th level of the mine, and he was gathering Orgarom, used for creating Mana-Batteries.
The enemies in this area ranged from around Levels 1,750-2,500. He was currently Level 1,643, and had been slowly saving up all of his stat and Kill Coins. He currently had 5,611 stat points left to be distributed, and around 510,000 Kill Coins. He was saving the stat points for the time where he would be in danger and would be forced to use them. A sudden power-up mid fight would confuse his enemies, and he was already over-powered for his own level.
His reliance on the same few Magic Skills has leveled them to great heights. They were like this: Mining Level 459, Blink Level 102, Change Gravity Level 87, Gravity Point Level 142, Attract Level 97, and Repulse Level 108. For the past week, he hadn't gone to the foreman at all, wanting to save up some ore to sell, because he would be leaving soon. He was planning his escape.

During the times he wasn't mining, he would go onto the game-forums, which are accessible in-game, and would read. One of the things that caught his attention was the leaderboards. The current highest leveled player was one of the beta-testers. He was in the top-10 highest leveled after the beta, and now, with a Level of 4,760, he was the highest. He was also number 1 in both Strength and Vitality, with Endurance at 3rd worldwide.
None other of his stats were in he top 10, as he seemed to be a pure-strength character. The only stat he was close to top 10 in was Willpower. The person in 10th had 3,782, so he was only 100 or so behind. If he used his stat points, he would obviously be ahead, but for now he didn't need that much attention.
Another thing that had happened was the release of more galaxies. 3 weeks after the game released with 5 galaxies, the devs quickly put out 15 more, saying that the current five were full to the brim, as the game already had about 250 million players.
There were a few patches here and there, but nothing really major happened. The game continued on, with a few important things happening. One of those was the discovery of a certain dungeon.
Dungeons already existed, but this one was the size of a moon. Actually, it was built into the entirety of a moon. The entire inside of the moon was a dungeon, and it was said to have monsters above Level 50,000 in it. When people asked the Devs about it, they just said that you don't have to go through the entire thing. This has led to people attempting to blow a hole to the center of the planet, but there is a space force-field keeping all space-ship launched projectiles from entering.
Speaking of spaceships, they were apparently quite easy to get. The lowest tiered ones cost 10 Bells. It was a small fighter-type, and only fit one person. The next ships were small cruisers, that could fit 5-20 people. The lowest cost for those was 1 Ure. The ship above that was a Freighter-sized. It had no real class, as it could function either as a small hanger ship, a freighter, or a small battleship if you decided you wanted it to be that way during purchase. Currently, only 1 person had one, and it was the 3rd highest leveled player in the world. It had cost him 240 Ures.
Above that there were battleships, warships, and finally mother-ships, which cost from 10,000-1,000,000 Durals each, as they had enough space inside to fit 15 thousand people. They had hangers large enough to fit several warships inside, and still have a lot of space left over. The smallest version was over 10 kilometers in length.
They were the main source of transport aside from Stellar Gates, but even then there were ship sized Stellar Gates for when people didn't feel like spending a day in FTL.
Back to the dungeon. So far, a few thousand people had gone in in groups of 100, trying to fight there way in. Contrary to normal dungeons, there weren't a lot of monsters. The problem was their strength. A level 2,000 monster in there had the strength of a normal Level 3,000 boss in another dungeon. And they were massive. The hallways had a perimeter of around 2.5 kilometers, and even still some of the monsters barely fit.
Their sheer size and strength made it so that each battle was drawn out and prolonged to tire out the attackers. The only good thing about their size is the amount of materials they dropped and the XP they gave.
The last thing he had seen, was that a few people were saying that they got captured by people and forced to work as slaves. Some stopped using their character, others tried complaining to the company.
it seemed that the group that slaved him either wasn't alone, or was capturing more currently.
The last thing he had done in this past month, was that he began looking into his psychic abilities. He was currently having to put too much effort into it, and he didn't have time to spend meditating for now. He would buy the psychic skills from the Kill Store but he wanted to figure it out on his own, as it would most likely give him stat points for constantly trying.
Now that he was basically ready to escape, he quickly bought a map piece from the Kill Store. it cost him 5,000 Coins, but gave him an overall map of the solar system he was in. The second thing he bought was a stone that when crushed will teleport someone to the edge of their solar system.
He was thinking of stealing a ship, but he had no idea how to fly it. Most people who did had to get taught the Pilot skill first. The stone was 35,000 Coins, and took a decent amount from his bank. Finally, he bought 5-Oxygizers. They made sure you wouldn't suffocate for 1 day each.
He had five days to fly to another solar system, but that probably wouldn't be too hard with what he planning. Once he would be in space, he would place an attract a bit higher than the top of his head, and a repulse a bit below his feet. This would allow him to propel himself through the solar system at speeds he would never have imagined. Or so he hoped.
There were a few rumors that someone had done it before, but they didn't know how to stop and slammed into a moon, insta-killing them.
*It's time I guess. I can always come back here in the future to either make use of the planet's mine or use the people from this group for experience.*
He had Analyzed the foreman before, and though he was in the 20,000 levels, Jayson would soon also be there. A few real months and he would quickly get there. Putting his pick inside the ore bag, he used the stone. Instantly, he felt himself move.
In the blink of an eye, he was now staring at a star in the distance. He could see a few black spots in the star, but those were probably just the backs of the planets and moons. Feeling himself begin to run out of breathe, he used an ability he had never used before, Void Breathe. The skill allowed him to breathe Void instead of oxygen, and he planned to level it during this trip.
It was a one-time mana use. With an instant payment of 250 mana, he was now able to breathe. After the five minutes ended, he used it again. He could breathe again. This skill would come in helpful in the future, especially if he learned how to properly use the flying method.
Facing towards the star that seemed the closest, he quickly began using attract and repulse. Each of the skills, with the power they had, cost around 150 mana per second. The two together came to just below his Mana Regen, which was a bit over 300. He would go to his full mana regen, but he needed to make sure he would be able to use Void Breathe. The only reason he had the Oxydizers were incase he found something he had to run from and didn't have enough mana to waste on Void Breathe.
As he continued to move faster, he realized just how overpowered this technique was. On a planet, the air resistance would stop him, but in the empty reaches of space, there was nothing to stop his acceleration, or slow his down either.
As he continued going faster, he saw a meter show up near the edge of his screen. It was displaying that he was already going at 10 kilometers per second, and he was only speeding up. If he remembered correctly, the speed of light was around 300,000 km/s.
This solar system would probably be over five light-years away, so he would be having to go 15 million kilometers per second to get there in a week. That's roughly 50 times faster than the speed of light. If he could even go at the speed of light, it was already be amazing, but now going over 50 times it's speed would be almost godly.
*How am I going to stop this...*
A few minutes passed, and he was now gaining near the speed of light. If he looked back, everything seemed to be going slower, while when he looked forwards everything came faster. His speed began going faster and faster, until it finally reached the speed of light.
You have reached the max speed capable of going. It is 1E-12 km/s slower than the speed of light, as any faster will result in damage. To go faster, gain skills that allow you to safely travel in FTL.
*Whats this? Any faster and I'll get hurt. To go faster blah blah blah, buy a skill with the Kill Store. Great. More cash out the way.*
He quickly opened up the store menu, and quickly custom made a skill. It was simple.
Faster Than AllLevel 10%DescriptionGet's rid of limit for speed. Speeds up acceleration. Passive ability. Current: 0.1% faster Acceleration
It allowed him to go faster quicker and not have a limit to his speed. Before he forgot he quickly changed it once more.
Greater Faster Than AllLevel 10%DescriptionGet's rid of limit for speed. Body no longer capable of being damaged by FTL or greater speeds. Speeds up acceleration. Passive ability. Current: 0.1% faster Acceleration
Now it was perfect. He could protect himself and go faster. It cost a whooping 67,500 Coins, but it would be necessary.
He bought it, and instantly the world around him changed.

The Wolf Saga, Wolf that Devours Empires
The Empire of Human is about to enter a turbulent era. A World Power has fallen. But mere hours after dying, he is reborn as a half-human, half-elf boy named Wolf. The story follows this odd boy as he grows up, his relationship with his father and those around him, his lack of common sense from being raised in the wilderness, and his desire for revenge. Witness Wolf's journey as he aspires to climb to the peak of the world to unravel its mysteries, and as he tries to figure out why it’s wrong to decapitate a street thug when the man tries to mug you. “I mean, the man literally said ‘Money or life,’ so what’s the big deal?” Releases Mon/Wen/Fri. (GMT-ish) Trigger warning. The Wolf Saga may not be suited for you if any of the following disturbs you: - The story will have fighting and killing. The gore will not be explicit, but there will be descriptions such as "head burst like a melon", "instantly turned to cinders", "blood splashed/fountained" etc. Most of the violence will be performed by the protagonist, some of it before he reaches his teens. If such scenes bother you, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have sexual content. It's there for a reason. Once again, these scenes will not be explicit. Genitals will be mentioned sometimes, but never described in detail. Nude bodies will be described in passing, without too many specific details. If you're afraid of nipples, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have a decent amount of cursing. If you haven't given up by now, this is unlikely to bother you. Still, I believe I should forewarn you that a number of curse words will be making appearance from time to time. - The story will have no small amount of loss for the main character. If you enjoy novels in which everything is fine, the protagonist makes it at the last moment and saves the day... This is not such a story. Life happens. As a reader, I'm annoyed with heroes making it in the nick of time, so for the sake of fairness I used dice on a number of occasions, making do with the result. Sometimes it was anticlimactic, sometimes it was tragic and it led to the story you see before you. Dedication: This story is written for Tired Mom and Wolf, whose arrival the rest of the pack is eagerly awaiting. Thanks: I would like to thank Tired Mom for her proofreading and encouragement over the years. I would like to thank you, Dear Reader, for taking the time to read this big pile of words.
