*Where am I?*
Looking around, Jayson saw that he was in a pitch black room. There were a few circular lights spread around here and there that lit up the room. Looking down, he saw strapped to a chair. He had bands around his ankles, wrist, and one around his neck.
*Damn, what happened? One second I was in a cave looking at the Wormins, and the next I woke up here. Did someone sneak up behind me? Well, lets see if I can escape.*
Using he attempted to move forward, but just as the feeling began to appear, he felt a shock and was sent back to the chair.
*What the hell?! It absorbed my mana! I knew that there were things like that, but I didn't think they would use it on someone as weak as me.*
This time, instead of using , he used Stellar Gate and tried to move the bands. Once again it simply absorbed his mana and shocked him.
*Ok, so none of my mana attacks do anything. The only thing left to try is using physical strength, but I doubt I have enough. Here goes nothing.*
Taking a deep breath, he began trying to lift his arms up and break the bands. After a few seconds he turned beet red from exertion and finally stopped. Seeing that nothing was going to happen, he gave up, deciding to wait.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After an hour nothing had happened.
After 10 hours nobody had appeared. By now, his stomach felt like it was splitting. He hadn't eaten in who knows how long, and to make it even worse he was also getting dehydrated.
After 24 hours still nobody came. Jayson's eyes seemed to be glossing over. Every 5 or so minutes, he would struggle to try to escape. By now, he was starving and his health had begun to go down, a hundredth of a point by a hundredth of a point.

After 2 days he was ready to die. His body was now visible paler, and his health was started going down faster than before. He was down to only 70% of his total health.
If anything came out of it, it was his two new skills.
Hydration Level 1 2% 200/10000 Description The ability to go longer without water.
Currently: 2 days before Dehydration begins.
Rationing Level 1 5% 500/10000 Description The ability to go longer without food.
Currently: 1.5 days before Starvation begins.
Right now, they only made his suffering take longer, but in the future they might be useful.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By now, a week had passed. Jayson's still living, but limp body was still banded to the chair. His health had gone down to 10%, and Hydration and Rationing had leveled up. He could now go 3 days without food and 2.5 without water.
His body was mostly white by now, and he looked thinner. Blood could be seen dripping from his nose, mouth, and eyes.
*I'm... almost... dead... not... much... longer... and... I... die... please... end... it...*
As he closed his eyes, he felt the bands come off of his body. He opened his eyes, and saw heaven in front of him. Not literally, what he saw was a stale piece of bread and a cup of water.
After starving and being dehydrated for a whole week, this was god giving him a second chance. Quickly jumped at the food, he scarfed it down without a second thought. Finally, his health began to rise. As he sighed in relief, he felt his body begin to shut down. As his consciousness faded, he yelled at himself in his mind.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once he awoke, he was back in the chair. The difference this time, was that on the floor a thick band, roughly 2 meters in diameter, surrounded him.

He thought he saw it move, but though it was just hid mind playing games on him.
An hour later...
*Okay, it definitely moved.* As he was thinking, the band began to light up. Spanning the inside of it a deep red color began to appear. it was see-through, but the moment he looked to see any mana he almost shit himself. Every second, the band used more mana than ten of his mana pools. And it was moving upwards.
4 Hours Later...
As it neared, he could feel a faint heat coming off of it. Though it wasn't much at first, it was now warm enough that his feet were starting to burn.
8 Hours later...
By now, the light had reached him. And guess what it was, a laser. As it came in contact with him, it began to burn away at his feet. The moment it reached his foot, it started speeding up, a lot. By now, everything up to his mid-calf had been burned off. it was going up at around a centimeter per minute, and he hated it.
Pain he had never before felt assaulted him for hours straight as he wanted to cry. Once again, he received a few skills from it.
Pain resistance Level 1 11% 1100/10000 Description Resistance to pain. As this skill increases in level, you start to feel less pain.
Current: 2% pain Reduction
Heat Resistance Level 1 9% 900/10000 Description Resistance to heat. As this skill levels up, your resistance to heat will increase.
Current: 2% Increase to max Heat Tolerance
As time passed, the laser continued to move upwards. After another two hours, he was knocked unconscious once the laser reached past his knee.
