《Flame-Eyed Immortal》Chapter 24

Kovinth who was in the midst of preparing to dance suddenly froze. He froze so fast his head didn’t even manage to look at Owen while he spoke. Only after managing to replay the words that Owen spoke was he able to recover his stance and look at Owen seriously. He thought for a few moments looking at the serious faced Owen he asked.
“Red? Transparent? Elastic?”
It was as if Kovinth lost the ability to speak and could only say one word because if he spoke anymore he might miss the chance to hear properly. Thus he kept it short and waited for Owen’s answer. Owen didn’t think there was anything wrong with his answer so he blunted repeated his previous words without changing his tone in the slightest.
“Yes. The block was a red and transparent and it is also elastic. Is there a problem Master?”
“HAHAHA!”
Kovinth roared in laughter and disappeared right at that moment. Owen was left sitting on his bed in confusion. Owen quickly cleaned up food that Kovinth prepared for him, erasing the entire situation that just happened.

Center of the Continent- Ascension Tower.
There was a middle aged woman sitting at a desk with her long strands of silver hair resting on the top of the desk. The hair was not in her way so she didn’t take the time to move it. Her eyes started to look lifeless as she stared at the endless paperwork in front of her. As she was nearly to the point of throwing everything up she remembered that she hadn’t seen the Sun-dragon Kovinth and his disciple for awhile. She started to grin thinking of teasing Kovinth, but just as she stood up, suddenly a burly black robed man appeared in front of her.

She almost thought it was someone else entirely because of the massive grin that was stretching from ear to ear. Seeing this she even felt it was ominous.
‘What happened to make him this happy? Did his disciple make his first Path block?’
As Osena thought to herself she convinced herself as that was the only possible conclusion she spoke up trying to direct the conversation so he wouldn’t be able to brag too much. Even if he did it was only stepping on the Path it was no reason to come out his way just to brag to her. But she knew how happy he was to have a disciple so she wouldn’t get angry for a once in a lifetime action.
“What did you disciple step on the Path finally? Psh it only took over a week with your help.”
She thought to goad him into arguing so he would forget to brag but to her surprise he only smile even wider. At this point she didn’t think it was possible for this guy to smile wider, yet he just proved her wrong. Instead of the lips being wide as can be his entire front row of teeth were showing. His canines gave the impression that he could bite through anything on any other occasion but this time they looked like baby teeth. Even though he was acting like this he didn’t answer her, which caused her to pop a vein in annoyance and she just flat out asked what happened.
“What are you so happy about?”
“Do you want to know?”
‘Would I ask if I didn’t?’
She knew that he was only doing this to tease her and make her annoyance rise another level, and because she was usually the one teasing him she wasn’t willing to let him get her annoyed any further so she simply raised her slender shoulders in a shrug. Knowing full well he couldn’t tease her anymore Kovinth released his massive smile and spoke as calmly as he could trying to hide the sheer amount of excitement he was feeling.

“He has a Boundary Block. Not only that, it’s also a Sky Boundary Block….”
As Osena was about to yell out in surprise, Kovinth spoke before she could.
“He also has the Path of Softness.”
Fainted. Right on the spot Osena fainted and Kovinth couldn’t help but do a victory fist pump. He then teleported away but before he did looked at Osena laughing while he spoke.
“That will teach you to tease me for millions of years!”
Kovinth cracked his neck in satisfaction releasing all those feelings of slight revenge all at this moment and teleported away.
Meanwhile, Owen had finished his dinner and was thinking of taking a nap. He was pretty tired after all and he felt he deserved it. So just as he as he closed his eyes, he suddenly felt a gust of wind. At the origin of the gust was Kovinth, and he was in an incredible mood, so much so that Owen could almost see the light coming off his smile. Although he wasn’t sure what happened he bowed slightly and spoke.
“Welcome back Master.”
“Mmm. Have a good rest, tomorrow I will impart you the Blind Motion technique.”
Although Owen wasn’t sure what that was he nodded with a little more exaggeration than his usual nods. Because he listened to everything that Kovinth said he immediately closed his eyes to fall asleep.
