《Flame-Eyed Immortal》Chapter 25

Hey guys chapter 25 and I just wanted to say thanks for voting on the polls so far. I am actually quite surprised at the overwhelming support this series has at this point. So as such I can't promise something like I'll make this story great, but I will try and meet your expectations every step of the way. If you can trust me then lets walk down this Path (ha see what i did there?) together and enjoy this story.
----------------------------------------------------
The next day Owen woke up feeling refreshed. He was immensely tired after creating the first block in his Path, but because he was able to breathe Essence even while asleep he easily recovered to full strength by the next morning. But that wasn’t even the best part about this day. As Owen remembered that Kovinth was going to teach him the Blind Motion technique he couldn’t help but get excited. Although he wasn’t sure exactly what the technique would do he was still nonetheless overly excited.
Kovinth on the other hand was preparing breakfast for Owen like a happy newlywed wife. The obvious reason for his excitement was Owen’s successful step onto the Path. As a teach there was nothing for him to more proud of. Naturally if Osena was here she would attempt to tease him endlessly. But who was Kovinth? He was the person who would brag to all the gods in the universe about his own disciple’s greatness without even batting an eye. Even if they all called him fools, the only thing he would hear would be ‘oh wow your disciple is so great!’.
As Owen walked out of his room to the kitchen like area where they prepared meals and saw Kovinth. What was truly surprising is Owen heard him humming, and dancing. Now Owen didn’t know exactly how strong his Master was, but he knew very well that he was immensely strong. Now adding on his appearance of a big burly guy with some stubble facial hair. Thick rough looking skin and those blade like black hairs, it was by far an odd match between the two. In fact as Owen approached Kovinth didn’t even notice Owen’s presence. That’s how distracted and happy Kovinth was.

But Owen felt nothing but happiness seeing this. He was calm by nature and thought everything to the last detail, as such how could he not know that his Master was this happy for his own sake? But he didn’t want to embarass his teacher so he walked back behind the wall and made a slight cough as he reentered the kitchen area.
Luckily this time, Kovinth heard his disciple immediately but awkwardly attempted to fix his posture and became stern and serious once again. Inwardly Owen almost burst into laughter, he was usually calm but funny situations were still after all funny. But Owen was strong willed and held it in. He only slightly bowed and spoke.
“Good morning Master.”
“Hmmmm, yes indeed it is a nice day. Go practice breathing for a bit I’ll be done with breakfast soon.”
“Yes Master.”
Although Kovinth emphasized the words ‘nice day’ Owen pretended to be ignorant and walked into the crater and practiced his breathing technique. Although it wasn’t covered it didn’t matter, Owen was only borrowing the place because he was used to meditating here. It didn’t mean that he couldn’t meditate anywhere else, just that this was his usual spot. He sat down and begun to concentrate on the fluid movement of Essence throughout his body.
-----------------------
“Now, Owen.”
“Yes Master?”
Owen answered Kovinth as they finished breakfast, and because Owen knew what was going to happen next he had a little anticipation in his voice. Although usually no one would be able to hear this slight difference in pitch, Kovinth could. After all he paid great attention to his disciple. But Kovinth felt this was a good thing and only smirk continuing.
“Although you will be blind until you gain full control of Essence at the end of your body refinement, it will in fact allow you to be stronger. Partly the reason is as you have grown used to relying on your hearing and sense of smell and touch you can heightened those sense to their utmost limits. Even with body refinement these are incredible difficult to achieve.”

Owen heard the slight praise in Kovinth’s voice, but because it was simply a natural thing for him he didn’t disrupt his Master to thank him and only continued to listen on.
“However, while fighting in the world it still becomes a handicap for you. This is where the Blind Motion technique comes in. It won’t allow you to see, but instead will allow you to utilize all your other heightened skills, and is only possible because of your blindness and heightened senses that you can learn this. There is also another requirement to this technique and that is utilizing the breathing technique.”
As Kovinth explained the requirements for the Blind Motion technique he couldn’t help but perk up his interest even more. Owen could imagine that out of all the people in this world he would be the only one to be able to utilize this skill. Although there might be people who have heightened their senses to the utmost limit like him, or people with the breathing technique, he was sure there was no one else that was blind and held both!
Seeing his disciples excitement grow so did Kovinth’s, his emotions were easily influenced when it came to his disciple but that was simply because he treasured Owen that much. As the leakage of excitement started to show itself, both he and Owen ignored it and continued.
“Now then. It is time to take your training to the next level. I want you to go into the Water Crater instead of the Air Crater this time. You will be required to breathe the water forcefully turning it into Essence for yourself to use. But while you’re doing that, I want you to imagine that you ‘look’, but not with your eyes, at the flow of Essence within the water. Only when you can do both at the same time can you say you have some success in the Blind Motion technique. Now go, I have expectations for you Owen.”
“I shall not disappoint Master.”
Owen bowed and started his normal routine of walking patiently to the Water Crater. But even he had to use all of his will power to stop him from walking even a bit faster. As he stood over the Water Crater, his foot never stopped and immediately jumped into the pool sinking down to the bottom of the crater.
