《Flame-Eyed Immortal》Chapter 15

Just as Owen, jumped into the crater, he realized that Kovinth was already covering the top. Seeing this Owen stood there staring at the cover wondering what he was going to do if he suffocated. Naturally he could figure that that was the point of being inside this crater, was so he would be forced to breath without air. If he could acquire the Essence through the air he would no longer need the air itself to breathe!
Seeing that Owen caught on without his explanation he didn’t hesitate and immediately covered the crater. He then telepathically spoke to Owen.
“Now, sit down and concentrate. It doesn’t matter how you wish to meditate. But find the method that will make you the most calm and one with the world.”
“I like watering flowers, it makes me the most calm.”
Owen replied bluntly to Kovinth. As the answer came without hesitation with no change in pitch Kovinth knew how completely serious Owen was at this moment. Trying to hold back his laughter he continued to speak.
“Just close your eyes. And feel the world. If you remember that slight warm sensation when you had the Essence travel into your eyes try and feel for that energy again.”
‘I was nearly dying from the pain. How could I spend any time worrying about a nice feeling over all that pain.’
Owen wanted to reply, but because his eyes had lit of the crater, he felt it was best to close them to concentrate. Otherwise he would be like a cat to a moving object and continue to follow it everywhere due to curiosity. The moment Owen closed his eyes was already starting to feel a certain energy within the air. He had guessed that this feeling was what his master was talking about and he tried to grab out at it within his mind.

“Oh? This boy is more talented than I thought.”
A middle aged woman in a silver robed appeared beside Kovinth suddenly. Seeing her arrival, he couldn’t help but click his tongue in satisfaction and call out.
“Old mutt, what are you doing here?”
Knowing full well she her presence wasn’t wanted she faked being offended as she dramatically fell over with a ‘Ah!’ Sound effect to make it even more fake. No only was the crater covered, Owen was too immersed in the current feeling to pay any attention to what was going on outside, as such he stayed ignorant to the play the Lunar Wolf was playing. Kovinth on the other hand nearly had his veins bulge out of his skin. He unhappily looked towards the Lunar wolf with displeasure.
“Fine fine! I’ll stop playing around. But seriously Kovinth this disciple of yours might be a genius.”
“What’s a genius? He simply was born with the right conditions!”
Kovinth answered unhappily towards the Lunar Wolf’s calm remark. Seeing that he was quite thrilled that she was complimenting his student she couldn’t help but think to herself.
‘Ah he’s still so adorable!’
But she knew better than to voice such a comment. Instead she agreed wholeheartedly with his comment. Geniuses didn’t exist in this world, or at least not when it came to walking the Path. If one wanted to get further down the Path, one must have a calm heart. They must throw away their mortal desires and become one with the world. As for Owen, his heart had always been the most calm out of anyone he knew. His will and determination was already at the peak. And because he always wished to complete whatever he started, once on the Path he would never look back! All on top of being blind, was what made him the only existence in the universe that made him qualify to cultivate in the Solar Eyes.

The Lunar Wolf also knew this. Because like the Sun-dragon her technique was similar in that it required almost all of the same traits but rather than being a male, it had to be a female! One of essence of fire, the other the essence of ice. And because she knew that they as two opposing forces, they were bond by a string of fate. Always fated to meet one another. As the Lunar Wolf was reminiscing about her own fate with the Sun-dragon he spoke up.
“Osena, are you thinking whether our disciples will meet?”
“Naturally. You and I both know that we are bound by fate.”
Kovinth laughed at Osena’s quick response. But he didn’t make any effort to deny it either. He only, spoke a few more words softly, but even if the sound didn’t leave his mouth Osena would still be able to hear it.
“Maybe he will accomplish that in which I failed.”
Osena, didn’t answer him as it didn’t require an answer but she could only slightly frown. After all she knew exactly what he was talking about.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel) V2.
Andrew William. A perfectly average boring name for a perfectly average and boring boy. He wasn't particularly smart nor gifted. Not in academics nor in sports. He wasn't even as good as the other losers and "nerds" in his school. He could not remember the expansive lore of Star Wars, he could not recite the dialogue of Startek nor pull off any cool one-liners and quotes, and he couldn't beat the final level in most games without resorting to cheating or mods. All he had was half-assed knowledge of pop culture and comics, but the one thing he was good at, his one and only pride and calling in life? Making Youtube videos. No, it wasn't sad! He was actually quite popular, honest! He made videos of adventure and nature, although it was mostly of the creepy variety. Abandoned hospitals, old mines, long tunnels, and undiscovered caverns. And as ironic as it was predictable, it would, of course, turn out to be the reason that he died. Well, at least he could take comfort in dying doing what he loved, not many people these days could say the same, you know? The concept comforted him at least, but it turns out death is not always as permanent as people liked to think, because Andrew somehow found himself in New York City of all places after falling to his certain death in the Devil's hole, Death Valley Nevada., only thing was it certainly wasn't the New York that he knew of. The Fantastic Four? Stark Industry? Captain America's biography? Oh boy, and did he mention he's no longer human? His Asian friends had introduced him to the wonders of Isekai novels and mangas, but isn't the order a little messed up? Where's his meeting with the sexy and nice Goddess? Where was his intro or tutorial?? Explanation plz I'm a noob at cross-dimensional travel! Help? Setting? Menu? Status? May I please get to pick my own cheat power? No? I'm stuck as a virus? Well, At least the Prototype Virus was pretty darn cool and OP. Just not as op as being able to casually break the sound barrier in my sneakers or bench pressing the earth, but I'll just have to make do. Please don't be some fucked up Marvel continuity where Nazis and Hydra won or some shit. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore
8 321Re:The Worst System Leveling Turned Me Into A Zombie
Before I reached Lvl. 100, they called me Death God Hei. But when I broke the limit, the System punished me. It cursed me to become this monster. I woke up as a Lvl. 0 again. Dying only brings me back to a save point now. But I don't go back until I die twice. First I suffer as a human, then I hunger as a zombie. The worst part is...I still have to watch when that thing takes over my corpse. I call it the Gray. I can't do anything even when it's hunting down those I'm trying to save. Sometimes, I wonder. When I level, I swear I can hear a voice speaking to me. This thing...can it think? It's like Re:zero crossed with SAO, Solo Leveling, and Tokyo Ghoul Re:The Worst System is a dark, 1st person timeloop story where the main character is slowly driven insane by his ability to respawn at a save point. However, each time he levels, there's a possibility that the next time he dies, the zombie inside him will become too powerful for anyone to stop. So he has to level up a harem...ahem, others, to fight for him against the System. Oftentimes, Hei will get trapped in repeating death loops which are truly terrifying. You've been warned...please don't read if you're not willing to see the darkness all the way through. The light on the other side may be a long ways away...I'll be trying to post on Thurs/Sundays, but honestly, depending on how I'm feeling, chapters could come out at some wonky times. 8 214The Traveling Shop Keeper
Humanity has survived on Earth thanks to the Towers created by the AI council, sheltering humanity from the damage done to the earth from the war. Tyler, just hitting the required age to safely digitize into his local Tower digital world, is in a race to establish his trading company head office. With HYTOMA running for over 150 years, competition is fierce to buy property against other trading guilds, and the richer, more powerful raiding guilds. He could imagine that in his excitement that he would run into a Wanderer, a human that snubs their nose at the Towers, and spend their time wandering the ruined planet. Surviving by scrounging up old PC hard drives, and selling them back to the AI Council, allowing AI to add lost information to the Tower Network, and impoving the digital world. Hang on for a ride, as Tyler discovers he was given a hidden class by the ruling AI entity, slowly rolling through a digital world on a rickety cart. Will this Traveling Shop Keeper survive dragons, and lead Humanity out from the Towers, into a brand new world built by Articifical Intellegence? Note: I am a new writer with difficulty getting words from my head to sheet, so edits will be frequent. 8 94Resistance is Futile
Resistance is Futile 2336 G-L32 is my title. I go G’ell though, pronounce it how you like, it doesn’t matter. I was born, like the rest of the human race this era, with my abilities. I can manipulate the world around me, using the Strand to do it, looks like the old telekinesis “superpowers” the old humans used to entertain themselves with. As of only recently, within the last 20 years, the Ul’Katoin ripped open space to take our planets. However, they didn’t expect our resistance. They are stronger than us, faster, and far, far more adaptable and enduring. Humanity however, can use technology. Wherever they lay their roots, we burn them away with plasma and radiation. But where we lay down our foundations in their world, they snuff out our light with their vines and tendrils. And with The Jhar Empyrean and other space-faring empires keeping their borders tight, we have nowhere else to expand to. Humanity finds a way, and our soldiers will bring the fury of a Nebulean storm upon the Hellscape the Ul’Katoin call home. And I am one of those soldiers.
