《I am a tree》Who knew

Various kinds of vibrant flowers in front of me, the wind made them sway back and forth. The moons shine glowed onto it.
"Finally... most of it's complete, now I just need to wait for one last thing."
I turn my head towards the center of the flowers, there was a clearing in the shape of the circle revealing soil. In the middle, a small green bud stood out, it was a sapling I had planted a few days ago. The place I was currently at was my back yard. I had decided to start a small garden there, as for the reason why...
Back in my middle school days, my class went on a field trip to a zoo. Like almost every other kid, I also signed up to go. I wasn't really excited to see the animals or anything, it's just that I could skip classes with a good reason. Anyways, my class arrived at the zoo, what I saw once I stepped out the bus were flowers of many species, roses, dandelions, lily's and such. In the center of it all was an enormous tree at the time, it was a view I would remember for many years. It was that very scene that made me want to make a garden once I had gotten my own home.
Okay so, I am a 25-year-old male, I have black pointy hair that sweeps to the right along with black eyes. After I graduated high school and two years to finish college. Right after, I got a job as a teacher, I don't teach subjects such as Math or English, but biology. Well, my classes are usually about plants after I finish the required material to teach. Luckily my students seem to enjoy learning about plants better than fish or animals.
The school I work at is currently on summer break, I finished all my paper work so I could finish up my garden. It took me two out of the three months of summer break to grow, the only thing left I had to grow was the tree. The tree I had seen on my field trip was the thing that stood out the most to me. Though I won't go into specifics about the sapling I planted, it would grow into a spread type tree one day.

Looking over my garden once again, I saw a light I placed near the sapling turn off. The light was connected by a cable from a electrical port I installed outside for ease, the light shines brightly when I turned it on at night. Walking towards the light, I look at it, I place my hands on the metal rim. Bzzt, my hand went numb, my senses went dull, I'm being electrocuted! I fall towards the clearing where my sapling was, making contact with the ground, I fainted.
...
...
...
Ugh... what happened? All around me was dark, one space however lit up, there I saw a seed. Oddly, the seed was buried, but the soil seemed transparent to me. I'm getting mixed messages here, did I die or is this some sort of lucid dream? Seriously, I remember being electrocuted, I know that wasn't a dream so is this a dream? The light around the seed started to intensify, in turn, I got blinded by it, but strangely it didn't hurt.
...
...
...
"Ugh... I'm groaning so much today..." I said as I was regaining my senses. Looking around me I was still inside the garden, the moon was still up so I guess I wasn't out for more than a few hours. I decided to forget about this all since I was still tired, I quickly brushed my teeth, took a shower, and jumped in bed. Good night tomorrow's problem.
The next day, I called electricians early in the morning to look at my light, they said the problem was a faulty connection and the electricity coursed through the metal. Of course, they didn't know I got electrocuted, they just warned me I could have been. Well, that was dangerous. I asked them if they could fix it, they agreed and my light was working once again.
I look at my garden once again and made a refreshing smile, then I saw the light, lets not do our own electrical work ever. Thinking that, I water the flowers and tree sapling, afterwards, I would just hang out with some of my friends or laze off. Once the schools summer break ended, I went back to teaching a new group of students.

This cycle repeated for 43 years, I had retired at the age of 68. I got married with a fellow teacher when I was 29, we had four kids together. I could have retired earlier but my children kept on needing money, so once they had gotten onto their own feet I kept working. My wife had also worked in the school together with me, we decided to retire together and spend the rest of our lives living with each other.
I slowly got up the chair I was sitting on, guiding myself through my house, I ended up at a sliding glass door. Opening it, I went through and entered into my garden. Looking at it still brings me great joy. The vibrant flowers had to be replanted every once in a while but it was worth it to own this view. Unlike in the past, a massive tree stood in the center of the flowers, you couldn't see the circle clearing any more.
The tree I had planted long ago had finally grew to such a size. The light I had place near it had been move because the tree grew larger than expected. I'm satisfied with the tree growing this large though, even thought it took up 1/10th of my back yard I felt it was worth it.
Another 20 years passed, I'm at the age of 88, currently on my death bed. Luckily, my wife passed away before I had happily, well, it was lucky to me since I didn't want her to feel sad. I lived on for three years after her death, but my will to live had a limit. I asked to be placed lying down under the tree in my garden. Surrounded by colorful flowers, I was satisfied knowing this would by my grave, one I had made myself. The land was now my property which I passed onto my children to take care of. All of them were giving me smiles with tears welling up in their eyes.
I close my eyes, feeling like it was instinct, "Good bye..." I uttered with my last breath. I felt my face form a smile before everything had turned pitch black.
...
...
...
This is strange... why am I still concious, did I mistake my own death timing? I try to open my eyes, it didn't work, now that I notice, I couldn't even feel anything. Oh, specks of light started to move around in the pitch black space, there was a trembling noise which scared me a bit, but I don't think I'm going to get a heart attack. Pop, the sound stopped and I could see the sky, I heard a strange sound at the end but I'll ignore that.
I try to look around, but something felt unnatural, well, this whole situation is unnatural to begin with. Looking around some more, I realized I my view was turning to smoothly and it went over 360 degrees! Turning my view down I saw a green stalk sticking out of the ground. Oh...
