《I am a tree》Can't move

Oh my... am I a ghost? That's the only possible answer! I can't feel anything, my view pretty much 360 degrees and can float. I am now a ghost that will roam the world haunting... saplings? Looking back down the the green stalk sticking out from the soil, I wonder what sort of sapling this is. Well, whatever the case is, I will look around first, thinking that, I somehow move my vision forward, backwards, diagonally, up, down, wow. The smoothness of the transition feels a little bit addicting to me, but back to the matter at hand, I go forward, after traveling for a while I see the land curving downwards, it seems I was at a hill. I try to go down but then my movements abrubtly stopped.
Wondering what was happening, I shift my view backwards a little and look at the scenery. Strangely, this hill top is filled with lush green grass, going down the hill, the land became more barren. At the end of the hills curve, the land is completely without life. Beyond the droughted land, I saw just more land, there were no mountains nor anything else. Well there were clouds above and the sun though. The time right now was around dawn where the sky is orange and the sun is setting. This would be a wonderful scene if the land wasn't so barren, maybe if I moved back a bit, I can make an illusion of a completely healthy scene?
Once more for reassurance, I try to go down the hill again but that did not work so I move my view back to where I found the sapling. I have already accepted that I'm a ghost, but maybe I am the type that's bound to something... the sapling. Honestly, I was looking forward to being a ghost that could roam, maybe go on a adventure and meet other ghosts, but I guess not. I have already lived a satisfying life, I don't want to go back and ruin it for myself, just leave the lingering satisfaction.
Anyways, I judged so far that this is probably an isolated island because there's no way that this place is good for living. I guess I was lucky to... no I was unlucky to end up here as a ghost, wasn't I. After enjoying the incredibly smooth movements, I looked once more at the sapling. I just thought of this, maybe I can move it with my mind, if I could, I can travel anywhere without it binding me down. Immediately I start concentrating onto it, it was like a perfectly green sapling with two leaves hanging at the top both respectively on the left and right side of the stalk.

Twitch, one of the leaves moved, was it the wind? I then focus on moving it against the wind, Twitch Twitch, it was going the opposite direction of the wind! I have telekinesis! Okay, time to lift the soil around the sapling then get out of here. I was exerting so much non-existent pressure, that if it did exist, I'd be looking very constipated. A few minutes of looking intentlly at the sapling passed, the soil did no rised but the two leaves on the stalk moved upwards.
Huh, I try to some of the grass on the hill, it didn't move, I try to move the sapling, it moved. Maybe I'm not a ghost, maybe I am... a sapling? Recalling the events that led me here, I rised out of the ground together with it so that makes some sense in this situation. Man, I never knew I would become a plant one day, I also never knew they could see the world like this... Okay, I know I am very wrong but this matter is much to complicated. I guess I'll just wait.

...
Around five days had passed already, I feel a bit creeped out because I just stared into space the whole time without any sleep. This is probably normal so if I don't wake up from my dream, I'll get used to it. During my daily session of staring blankly and thinking about life, there was something different. On the horizon of one side of the mountain, I saw a few figures moving. On the first day, I looked around the hill to see that it was completely circular, I don't think this is natural. A few figures finally made it to the mostly flat part of the hill, they were wearing nice clean gray cloaks with hoods. On the side of their waists, I saw sacks hanging from rope tied to theirselves, and a knife.
Are these people desert bandits looking for water? I tried looking for water before to see what was keeping me alive, in the end there was nothing to be found. Eventually I had decided to stop questioning things. The figures head over towards me, I imaginarily breathe out, I'm a little anxious but relieved to see other people. Thank goodness I didn't up forever alone. Soon enough, most of the figures closed in gathering infront of me. There, one of the figures spoke, and surprisingly...

"We have found our oasis! We shall prosper and it will begin here!"
I could understand them, tree saplings really are universal. Anyways, I could see their faces now, they had fairly dark skin, varying hair colors and faces, but another thing they all had in common were their ears. It was longer and more pointy than most other ears I've seen, more like those are obviously elves, dark elves maybe if their skin isn't a tan. I cross my hear-mind that they won't hurt me. Continuing, the main figure who was speaking...
"Fate has guided us here, they had gifted us with this lush green hill and a tree sapling!"
The main figure who was a man with black curly hair, in other words a afro. Saying words about fate and other things, he called me out. On que, the rest of the figures look towards me with a face of hope. I think I should be embarrased because they're all staring at my naked body with hope, good things I'm just a sapling. I really do hope they take care of me somehow, I want grow into a big tree. Although it wasn't my intentions to become one in the first place, as long as I'm stuck like this, I'll be the biggest tree ever. I look forward to finding out the type of tree I am in the future.
"Everyone! Let us work hard to create our paradise!"
With that, all the figures including the female ones started taking things out of their sacks they had around their waist. Inside there were metal needles with a messy balls of string, large pieces of cloth that were folded up, rope, iron rods, and other necessities like food and water. What was unnatural besides them being out here was that their bags seemed to hold more than what they took out. I instantly knew that they were magic bags, from that, I finally gave in and decided that this place was not the Earth I came from. I should have just followed the signs of the odd hill, the single sapling in the center, and the elves.
One of the elfs walked around with two bent rods in her hands, dowsing rods? Her appearance was one with black hair, emerald eyes, and moderately sized chests. I'm invisible to them in a way so I won't get in trouble for staring, but I don't have any perverted desires. After a bit of walking around, she stopped then took out a shovel and started to dig. She was digging around 100 feet from me in a oval shape. Other elves had started to help her dig, the oval became deeper equally until something burst from the ground. Water! Inside the oval hole, the elves were quickly grabbing their shovels and climbing out, the hole was around 5 feet deep so no one got stuck. The water had burst out for a while, but when enough water was on top of the hole, it only looked like the water level was rising.
I don't know why but the water stopped increasing at about one inch below the top of the hole, I was worried it was going to flood. Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound, I turn and see my body, the sapling, shaking, it started to increase in thickness and length. By the time it ended, I was around two feet tall, however, I still looked like a sapling. How big am I going to grow?!

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
