《Transcending Chaos》Chapter 4

The Spiritual God's blood inheritance, this blood droplet was freely flowing around in the Origin Needle separate spatial dimension. Bouncing back and forth between Isla and Lute, the blood seemed to glisten in this black and blue world.
With the influx of historical information, Lutes eyes were locked onto this miniscule liquid. To think such a thing could change his life. If his Mother and Sister were still alive; he could search for them, or at the very least he could hunt down their captors.
Despite the enticement, Lute wasn't going to agree so readily, as there was still a price to obtaining such an object. Isla said it herself; she had slaughtered many for this blood. Just what circumstances was she in where she would need this blood in the hopes it would give her power to change her life.
"Your price, ¦what is your price for giving something like this to a mere mortal. It's just as you said, nothing is free in this universe." Spoke Lute in his usual cold mannerisms.
Isla narrowed her eyes, and she had a slight smirk that was becoming more prevalent. Clearly this child, Lute was starting to bite, and if so, he was her chance at resurrection.
"My price is not as easy as it sounds. It will be a contract where we both submit to certain conditions. More precisely it is a soul contract. But everything I have said thus far is all I will say, if you want anymore, you need to agree."
Silence, utter silence was the only thing in the spatial dimension, this could be a turning point but also a disaster. Who knew what types of problems would arise if Lute jumped into the world of cultivators. A soul contract sounded problematic, but it was also as Isla said, Lute would dwell on something for extreme time periods, inaction was just as ignorant as recklessly taking action. It was a world fraught with danger, and yet, it felt like this type of place was suitable for people with cold dispositions such as the one Lute now possessed. A land of danger but also opportunity, it simply couldn't be thrown away.
Lute came to his decision rather surprisingly quick and he turned to Isla with eyes radiating coldness, but for the first time in over two years, they had the slightest hint of warmth in them.

"I accept your condition. In return for the granted power and your knowledge, I shall agree to this soul contract."
Isla happily cheered, "Good! Good! Let's begin right away."
Isla began to dissipate; she turned into a transparent blue ball of light, tinged with white flames. Hovering before Lute, her voice was transmitted directly into his very being.
"Quickly, with the restraints of the Origin Needle, I need permission to enter your body."
"Wait, you need to enter my body?!" Uttered Lute astounded.
"Yes! Now shut up and invite me to enter your body, you shouldn't care if I am of the opposite gender, I would never be interested in a child like you." Said Isla in agitation.
"Fine, fine, I grant thee permission to leave the restraints of the Origin Needle and enter into my body." muttered Lute.
A blinding flash occurred and it seemed as if the soul of Isla was pulled by a vacuuming force into Lutes body, and then his perception changed from the spatial dimension to a completely black space, with two balls of light, one was obviously Isla, her soul was nearly triple the size of what Lure recognized as his own soul.
"So what do we do now, is it over or is something else needed." Asked Lute.
"Now it truly begins, we shall make a vow that will never break unless we die. If you purposely don't attempt to fulfill your vow, tribulations from the Heavens will strike you down, erasing your very existence. Not even the immortals survived them, but it is too late for you to turn back now."
"In return for me granting you power and knowledge, you shall aid me in rebuilding a body that can contain my soul that is all I ask. By that time, you should have enough power to become independent and not rely on me anymore. You must enter into the Divine Realms in order to achieve this, but there is no excuse not to be able to, aside from the Spiritual Gods blood, there are many things that I can teach you to further enhance your powers. Are you ready?"
Without a hint of hesitation or fear, Lute nodded in acceptance for what was to come. But what he didn't expect was to see Isla's soul begin to suddenly cause a portion of itself to shoot off into his very own soul forming a bridge, the two of them began to merge and intertwine until they were undiscernible. One vibrant soul was now visible in the entirety of this black space. Thunder seemed to resound throughout.

Next, Isla's voice began to resound throughout the space, "With the heavens as my witness, I, Isla Ravenshadow, hereby do solemnly swear to form a Soul Contract with Lute, I shall provide him with all the aid I can until the day he builds me a body. Should I fail, May my soul dissipate to nothingness."
Thunder and lightning immediately struck the mixture of two souls causing Lute to feel numb. Then he heard Islaâ's voice from the depths of his body as if he was thinking to himself. "Quickly, you have less than a minute to make your vows once we start. My only condition is that you help me rebuild a body that my soul can inhabit."
Breathing deeply, Lute quickly steadied his mind and began his vows without any regrets, “With the heavens as my witness, I, Lute, hereby do solemnly swear to form a Soul Contract with Isla Ravenshadow, I shall agree to help her build a body in which her soul can inhabit in return for the aid she is able to provide me for the duration of the Soul Contract. Should I fail, May my soul dissipate into nothingness.â€
Thunder resounded again; lightning struck the soul again, seeming to merge the two together on a fundamental level. And Lute felt something change within his most inner self. His body was no longer completely his; he was no longer completely himself. That much he could understand. As for what it was, he wasn't sure, but he was feeling emotions that were most certainly not his. Even more so, he felt like his personality changed in some way, as for how he even knew that, Lute didn't know.
"Isla, what is this, I don't feel... normal. What occurred during this Soul Contract that you didn't tell me?!" Said Lute in a dangerously low voice.
From within the depths of his body, Lute was able to "feel" Isla's consciousness fluttering about. It almost felt like he was a part of her on a fundamental level, as if he wasn't Lute, but Isla Ravenshadow.
Seeming to be fazed but able to respond, Isla began to explain. "Our souls have merged into one soul sharing one body. Two separate existences together. It would be abnormal if there weren't side effects. To put it in the simplest terms possible, we fused our existences into a completely new one. You are no longer the Lute you were a few minutes ago and I am no longer the same Isla."
"If your attention focuses towards it, you should be able to sense my emotions. But that is not the complete extent of it. A portion of our personalities merge as well, as for what part those are, we shall have to wait and see in the future, all I can say is that a part of my personality and yours merged to form something new."
"Of all the people we will ever meet, you and I will be the only ones who truly understand each other the most. It can be said that we are an entire new personality, our worst and our best traits, all merged into one. A Mortal and a Divine, what will become of such an anomaly"
....
"Don't feel disgust! This is the best case scenario, you will be able to cultivate much quicker and with half the effort! I am from the Divine Realm, you will easily catch up to the trash of this planet and then surpass them, after all, if we share the same body, I can simply transmit the proper methods for training in techniques and how to cultivate into you directly as if you'd done it your entire life."
"Don't read my emotions!" Screamed Lute in outrage, "Instead, let's hurry up and get started, I want to leave this cave and hunt for some food as soon as possible."
"Fine, we shall, although the moment you step onto the path of cultivation, the need for food and water consumption can be supplemented with the world's natural energy as you increase in strength. At the very first level, you already only need half the food and water that a mortal would need to sustain themselves."

The Tower Must Fall - Combat Gardener
If you're interested in a conceptual, ground-up rewrite leave a comment and tell me what you loved about it. I've got a pretty good idea of what everyone hated so there's no need for expounding on that. Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for? Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down! Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future. Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees. Season One complete. Permanent Hiatus, Pending Rewrite. Important notes: -LitRPG fantasy -Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you. -This story opens with a negative situation and an emotional growth arc for the main character. Please don't review until chapter 30 because the arc is not complete until that chapter. (Chapters are short, that's an average RR book's chapter 10) -No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance -Questions? Please ask!
