《Dagon, Dungeon evolved》22 - Dungeon Rush (the other side) Glory to the Animal Planet Channel

After sitting down, I began waiting for the event to begin. With my finely crafted maze I am sure I can dominate this even. Carpet Thorns is my not so secret winning strategy. With so many people hating it, it is sure to be even more of a hindrance to those brainless Wave monsters.
After that brief introduction by the 4 commentators, it marked the beginning of the Waves.
The first were 10 slimes, I watched much to my dismay as they just glided over the Carpet Thorns…
They had no legs, how are they going to trip over… I could not help but think what luck it is to see them. The only thing is that thankfully, they are not the first wave. There should be more of those that will be unaffected by the Carpet Thorns. They slowly proceeded on in the Dungeon and finally reach the first obstacle, the Tumbleweed.
I watched as the first Tumbleweed rolled and stopped 10 times before killing those slimes. I could only pity those slime. They did not even manage to reach the first room.
It did not take long before the 2nd wave to spawn. The goblins rushed in in no time but as I am very sure, luck was not on their side. It did not take long to start tripping. I could not help but laugh, they are tripping over each other even. Before they even reach the first Tumbleweed, the 3rd wave’s horned tiger had caught up with the short limbed Goblins with the wide leaps. How are they to trip and fall if they are in the air half the time.
After multiple leaps of the tigers and the crude strikes of the Goblins, the already wounded Tumbleweed died. It did manage to take out another Goblin in the meantime.
After taking out the Tumbleweed, the Goblins and Horned Tigers charged forth. Ok, only the tigers charged forth. The Goblins continued with their tripping.
Yawns, staring at the TV ended up boring. They were showing my own Dungeon. And how dare they laugh at my amazingly annoying maze. Although I do admit my squarish design is a little crude the say. One thing is for sure though, with the latest update, not being locked to 1m adjustments means more room to fiddle around with. Watching the mini dungeon displayed ended up being a little more entertaining that I thought.
And then came the 4th wave. Nothing fancy yet, just 10 Copperback Baloth. It took them no tie to catch up and pass the Goblins. They ran, tumbled, crashed and bashed through everything along the way until they finally joined up with the Horned Tigers. By then, there were only 3 Horned Tigers left. They lost 2 baloths as well to traps.

It came to a surprise for me when the Baloths and Tumbleweed had their face off. It was not that the Tumbleweed did not do its job, the charge of the baloth did a better job than the Tumbleweed. The Tumbleweed actually lost life instead of the baloth on contact. Few collisions later, the Tumbleweeds were wiped and the Baloths proceeded deeper in.
I really wanted to do something about that but there was nothing I could do, with the Event going, consumables are locked and I can’t use objects like potion of haste to improve the odds.
Finally, they reached the first room. I checked back on the TV, only to hear Cassidy say “Good luck to VoidPath. May the Gods be ever in his favor.”
Round 6 just started and they were talking about the Honey Badgers of the other Dungeon. It was not of my concern though, not my dungeon.
Then came the 7th, 8th, 9th and finally the 10th. They were all easy to a certain extent. They reach Chompers and Sappers with ease. The Herbs did nothing ironically. They just sat there while the Wave monsters attack the other Dungeon monsters. All the Pollen Dash died as they had 0 damage and could only just run away. That served as a oddly powerful deterrent though…. The power of the Carpet Thorns made the cat and mouse race feel more and more like Tom and Jerry the more I watch. Or maybe it is the Coyote and Roadrunner I can’t actually decide. They both do almost the same thing.
Wave 10 brought about the first boss and its elite guards. The first Boss was the Wolf King. High damage, high speed and high health, It took no time to decimate through my first floor with its guards. All the status effect were half as effective against the boss and its guards so they took no time to break free from Sapling’s binding. their speed was barely even reduced from Sapper’s attack.
After what felt like 3 minutes since they entered the Dungeon, the Wolf King’s army reached the boss room. Behind him a distance away were the remainder of wave 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and his guards. It had reach Wave 15 for a simple reason, the annoying complexity of the Dungeon. They would frequently walk down the wrong path and have to turn back for the other path. I got me thinking that it had to do with once again. What are the odds of them turning to the wrong side so frequently. Not only that, the trip fest sure slowed them down further. God bless the Carpet Thorns. The speed of the Wolf King had not only allowed to reach the previous waves, it also allowed it to surpass them and be ahead of them. (Even with all that tripping)

Given how strong the Wolf King had shown of its own power, it was clear that my Dungeon had no way to beat it fast enough before my first Mini Boss and it’s minion can take it out.
I watched as the Wolf King charged into the Boss Room with no fear in its majestic eyes. The minions began their assault and either started chanting their spells or began charging towards the Wolf King.

That took me a while to process. One moment the Wolf King was charging straight at Bewitcher then the next I know, it that is now a minion of mine. The distance was less that 30m but that was still too fast for my mind to capture.
I stared at the mini Dungeon model for a while before it finally hit me.
King or no King, at the end of the day, a Mutt is still a Mutt.
Glory to the Animal Planet Channel!!!!
A dog’s brain is specialized for identifying scents. The percentage of the dog’s brain that is devoted to analyzing smells is actually 40 times larger than that of a human! It’s been estimated that dogs can identify smells somewhere between 1,000 to 10,000 times better than nasally challenged humans can.
Think of it this way, if it take 20 seconds on average to be captured, with the effect halved it would take at least 40 seconds. But divide that by 1000 and it make barely any difference much less at 10,000 times.
Glory to the Animal Planet Channel!!!!
If only the Commentators were watching my Dungeon now, that would have been an amusing eye opening result.
Watching the rest of the Wave monsters, I could only pity them. It was either that either dying to the Wolf King or dying to the Wolf King. There was just no other choice. Who would have thought a Wave Monster would have been captured so easily.
Watching the rest of the Wave monsters arrive became another form of amusement. Dying you you own leader is just pitiful… then I remembered something, Mob Remote Control (i). That just might work!
Then my heart went to a roller coaster ride for no reason. I opened up the purchase panel only to see that it says:
Allows user to Control a non-boss mob as long as it is within the room it spawned from.
1, Non-boss.
2, Room it is spawned from.
The Wolf King, You have failed this Dungeon.
