Author - This is a brief look at how Shiro feels about her life and the MC. Remember she is young and doesn’t have a lot of knowledge so I made her thoughts more simple. (not middle age illiterate simple though)

Everyone is mean to me.

I’m always given the worst food.

Many times I have to pick out wood and nails that the others put in there.

The first time I eat the food didn’t feel good and I hurt for a long time.

The only one to treat me fine is Abra and that weird boy that always does weird things and tries to be with me.

I try to stay away from him.

When he is with me the big kids hurt him too.

But they still hurt me more.

For as long as I can think the others said that I should just disappear.

And that no one wants me.

I started to believe them when they said even my mommy didn’t want me.

My ears and tail are always pulled on. It hurts but the others are too strong so I can’t get away.

*Sob* I hate my tail and ears, if they were normal I would still be with mommy.

I have to be careful not to make noise too, they make me hurt more if I'm not quiet.

The only one who said tail and ears were nice was the boy again. He always tries to make me talk.

I don’t believe him!

I don't want to hurt more!

I’m finally getting my name but only Abra went with me to the place called church.

The floating words said my name is Shiro.

I wanted to know how I knew what it said so I asked Abra.

She said was that it was magic.

But I don’t know what magic is.

Abra doesn’t know too.

I’ll try to learn it later.

When I got back to that bad smelling place, only that boy wanted to know my name.

I didn’t really care about my name. The others still just call me mean things like mutt and stuff.

But not him and Abra, they are the only ones who calls me my name. Now I like it when they call me Shiro.

That boy finally got a name.

Its Kuro Lux...why does he have two names?

When I managed to ask, he says he doesn’t know

Now that he Is 5 he has to work too. I don’t like working, I get hurt a lot.

The boy wants to work with me. When I worked last time I almost got caught. It was scary when I was chased, so I let him.

…

I can’t trust other people except Kuro and Abra, Everyone else just hurts me and tries to get me in trouble.

Kuro asked to give me something he calls a massage. I was scared of him touching my hurt spots but it ended up feeling nice.

I want him do more, but he looks afraid to.

He always tries to do it for Abra.

He said it’s because I’m a girl...but Abra is a girl too so I don't get it.

Now the massage is something I look forward to doing, since if feels nice.

The pain I always feel has been getting better and work doesn’t hurt so much.

I still don’t like work.

Last time I was almost taken by slave traders, thanks to Kuro I managed to get away.

He didn’t notice but the other people from home were watching, I think they sent the slavers. I have no proof though.

If I’m not with Kuro a lot of bad things happen.

Even though I’m older, he’s the one helping me.

I need to be stronger.

I try to copy Kuro when he is not looking and train hard everyday to help him.

My body has been feeling a lot better since I started copying him. It must mean it’s working!
