Veyna's POV :

I woke up in my bed hugging Shina's body, it's been one month since she asked me to spare with her... I don't regret the deal...

The first time I saw her, she was with Estiel, I thought of a child sized doll with rare silver and black long hair, heterochromia eyes with one red and one golden, a pure white skin and a face who always seem to smile.

I was at charmed by her, I always loved cute stuff but I was deemed as a genius in swordmanship and trained to be the successor of Kiel; my father always tried to keep me from girly distraction, but he couldn't keep me from loving cute stuff...it is my secret.

She came to pass her sword exam, it should have been Roy's job to test her, but I wanted to do it myself; I was really interested in her.

At first, I fought like I always do with Estiel, restraining myself and trying not to hurt her; but she just ducked to dodge my attack and almost got me. I was surprised, that kid is stronger than any kid of her age; I think she can even fight evenly against student of my age.

I couldn't hold back anymore, I went all out and used 'Thunder Strike', a technique of the Lightning Sword style where you deliver an almost invisible fast horizontal slash; I held back a little not to hurt her in the process, but she countered me with a strange technique and managed to make both of our sword break.

However the battle wasn't over yet, she tried to punch me but I managed to deviate it and grab her weak spot; her tail, when I grabbed it she lost all her strenght. At first I grabbed it only to win, but after I had it in my hands, I couldn't resist the urge to caress it; the expression she made when she realized what I was doing was so cute...

At first she was struggling, but I have a secret weapon againsn't kid... cookies... After tasting one, she easily sold her body for another... It was hard to stop petting her...

At first, she seemed to be a strong child, but after spending some night with her, I know she is still a kid; sometimes she is crying for her parents, sometimes she is apologizing to some peoples. When I saw her for the first time I thought of her as a cute animal, but now I think of her as my cute little sister... If only Estiel wasn't such a tomboy...

It is time for me to wake her up even if looking at her sleeping face is fun, today we are going to the city. I woke her up like every morning by stroking her tail, it seem to be very sensitive.

Shina : " *Nyaaa* " I always wake her up like that to hear that...

Veyna : " Morning... "

Shina : " Morning... Could you please stop waking me up like that? " She said still half awake... Couldn't resist the urge of hugging her again.

Veyna : " Need to get ready... going out today... "

Shina : " *Haaa* Oh yeah, going to get ready, but I need to move... Can you let me go? "

Veyna : " .......No... "

After I finally managed to convice Veyna to let me go, we prepared and joined Estiel and Fiona who were already at our meeting spot.

Shina : " Morning ! "

Estiel : " You're late ! "

Estiel : " I-I was not excited ! Le-Let's just go already ! " She said with her habitual redish face.

Shina : " Estiel is cute when she act like that... "

Fiona : " True " She approved with a smile.

Estiel : " S-Stop it ! "

Veyna : " Let's go... "

After teasing Estiel, we went to the main entrance of the academy which is guarded by two guards with spears.

Guard 1 : " Stop here, do you have the authorization of a teacher to go outside? " The guards stopped us by blocking the gate with theirs spears.

Veyna : " They are with me... " She said in an uninterested tone.

Guard 1: " Miss Veyna? Fine, but we still need to check their bracelet. "

The second guard checked everyone's bracelet, I felt lonely; I am the only one with a golden bracelet while everyone got a diamond one.

Guard 2: " I think there's a problem with that demihuman's bracelet " He said looking at me.

Estiel : " Cheated?! She passed her magic exam with the principal and the sword exam with Veyna, there's no way she cheated. " She yelled out of rage.

Guard 1 : " I ll just fill a report to the principal just to be sure, if what you say is true then there should be no problem. "

Shina : " I am fine with that, don't worry Estiel. "

Estiel : " Fine... "

Guard 2 : " There's a second problem... "

Estiel : " What again?! "

Guard 2 : " Her race is strange, normally it should be written 'Demihuman'; but here it is written 'Half' " I only realised it now, it is indeed strange that only 'Half' is written.

Veyna : " Error from the bracelet... don't worry... "

Guard 2 : " I ll still add it to the report, well for now you got Veyna's authorization so you can pass "

We passed through the gate and walked in direction of the city.

Estiel : " Still it's strange, why is it writted 'Half' ? Shina, you know? "

Shina : " Because I am not a demihuman ? " I said with a smile.

At that moment the air froze, they all seemed shocked by this respond.

Estiel : " Then, what are you?... "

Shina : " Mhhhh... something close to a dragon?... But not a dragon at the same time? I don't really know myself. " I answered seriously.

Veyna : " Dragon half...? "

Fiona : " B-but, why do you have cat ears and tail? " She asked unsure.

Shina : " Someone helped me to change my horns and tail, I can't change those ears back because it is really difficult, but I can show you my tails. "

I gathered mana in my tail and slowly it transformed into my original lizard tail.

Shina : " See. "

Veyna was the first to react and instantly grabbed my tail, she started to stroke it.

Veyna : " Not fluffy... but smooth... Feel great too... " She was more interested in my tail than my true identity.

Estiel : " L-Let me touch too... " She asked with an envious tone.

Fiona : " M-me too... "

They all grabbed a part of my tail and started to stroke it, I feel all my strenght going away...

Shina : " *ny-nyaaaa* St-Stop it ! My true tail is more sen-sensitive than my cat one. "

Estiel : " I always thought that meowing came from her catgirl nature; so it was from her personality."

Fiona : " Maybe she was a catgirl in another life ? "

Veyna : " Cute... "

Shina : " Le-let me go ! "

They took half an hour to experience many things on my tail like searching for the most sensible place, figuring why it was so smooth, if it felt better by rubbing it or caressing it... After all that, I was left on the ground half conscious. It took me five minute to regain enought strength to walk and retransform my tail in a cat one.

Estiel : " Hey Shina, why did you disguise yourself as a demihuman ? "

Shina : " Because it is dangerous for me to stay in my other form, once I was found by a black dragon which almost killed me; I was told that it would bring me a lot of trouble to stay in that form. "

Estiel : " What?! How did you survive?! I mean it was a black dragon ! The dragon's royalty ! "

Shina : " I was helped by someone, he told me he took care of the dragon. "

Veyna : " Strong... Enought to fight a black dragon... "

Shina : " Let's stop talking about that and go to the city already ! "

When we finally arrived in the city, I was really surprised by the district; we were in the merchant district and it was really crowded and lively. The bar and tavern are filled with laugher from the local and travelers , in the place, adventurers are trying to haggle with merchant, some merchant are trying to attract customers by yelling.

There are a lot of differents product, food, weapons, armors, jewelry, clothes etc... Fiona and I were shocked by tthis view while Estiel looked at it like it was normal, well Veyna... like always didn't really show any expression.

We looked for a restaurant to take a breakfast, I wanted to try other dish than the one I eat at school even if they are really delicious. Veyna guided us to what seemed to be a really expensive restaurant with two guards at the entrance. Fiona and I were once again shocked; that restaurant's decorations were made of gold and silver with jewel, the customer who entered inside were dressed in beautiful clothes; it was obviously one of the best restaurant of the city, or maybe of this country.

Veyna and Estiel entered first, but we were stopped at the gate by the guards.

Guard : " Today we receive royalty, demihumans aren't allowed. "

Shina : " But our friend are already inside ! " I protested.

Guard : " Not our problem, you aren't allow inside, thats all. "

Seeing we weren't behind them, Veyna and Estiel came back.

Estiel : " What are you doing outside, come ! "

Shina : " The guards don't want to let us inside ! "

Estiel : " What do you mean by don't let you enter? Hey you, why do you block their way?! "

Guard : " Today we receive important guest; demihumans aren't allowed inside. "

Hearing a commotion, the owner of the restaurant came at the entrance.

Owner : " Is there a problem with our customer ? "

Guard : " Sir, they wish to bring a demihuman inside the restaurant. "

Veyna : " It's fine... we are leaving... "

Owner : " That's ! Miss Veyna wait a moment please, could you forgive our guards behavior; they didn't know you were accompanied by demihumans. "

Hearing that the guards went pale, the party they had refused access to was their important guests; this was definitely going to cost them a lot.

Estiel : " It's fine, we are just going to eat elsewhere. Have a nice day ! " Said Estiel with an ironic tone.

Shina : " I want to try common food. "

Estiel : " I never ate commoners food, it look interesting. "

On those words we walked away, after we left I could hear the owner yelling after the two guards, he was furious of what happened; after all royalty were refused access to his restaurant, it was going to affect his reputation.

We went to a tavern and commanded their special breakfast menu, it was composed of a sandwich with inside a meat I never tasted at school, it tasted like duck, we also had some cheese and a strange green juice. It seem cheese is a commoners food because I never ate it at school.

Estiel : " So this is a Karbi's meat? It taste pretty good, I wonder why they never serve some at the cafeteria. "

Fiona : " That cheese is delicious, I want to buy some later. "

Veyna : " Not bad... "

It seemed everyone was satisfied with the breakfast, after eating we went sightseeing; everything went well until we came across... the clothes shop.

When we stopped there, I felt three pairs of eyes staring at my back, I hesitated to turn, but when I took my courage and turnedI saw three girl with sparkling eyes looking at me; I followed what my instinct screamed at me : ' RUN AWAY ' but I was easily caught by Veyna.

Veyna : " Bad girl... " She with her indifferent voice, but there was a large smile on her face.

Fiona : " Why did you try to run away ? " Asked Fiona with her usual smile, but I felt something else behind which made me feel sweat.

Estiel : " We are just going to try some clothes, come with us. " Estiel too had a gentle smile, but it was obviously a fake one, she never smile like that !

Shina : " Y-You girls look scary... P-Please go easy on me... "

I expected Veyna to force me to try some clothes, but I thought Estiel would protect me... she went in the opposite side, that traitor... Even Fiona joined them.

After the first 20 sets of clothes, I abandonned any hope of escaping and accepted my fate. They were arguing on which set was the best and finally all agreed on a red and white simple dress.

While Veyna said she was going to pay for it, Fiona and Estiel continued to look for more clothes; my torment wasn't over yet.

While everyone was busy, I felt something settle on my head, it was a little lizard who wasn't even 30 cm long. It was a golden baby dragon; I took him in my arm looked at him, he looked exhausted and hungry.

After a few seconds, I felt that someone was watching me; I asked Veyna to teach me how to recognize killing intent and fighting spirit, I was once easily beaten by an ambush, I don't want to experience that again.

I looked in the direction of the one watching me; it was a rough looking man armed with a wooden mass. He tried to land a hit on my head, but I dodged his strike and landed a circular kick in his leg which made him fall to the ground.

I laid the baby dragon on my head and and kicked the man who was trying to get up in the stomach, I knew the man wasn't alone, there are many other people looking at me with evil intent. I was surrounded by 10 other rough looking man who looked like bandits or criminal, they were all armed with sword.

After they surrounded me, there were everyone in the market noticed us; Veyna quickly realized the situation and unsheathed her black katana.

Bandit : " Hey boss, that black katana, isn't it Kiel? "

Bandit Leader : " As if idiot, what would the first princess of this country be doing in those lowly shop? Let's get the baby dragon back and take the demihuman at the same time, she may be worth a fortune in Theristid. "

Right after they finished talking the bandits rushed at us, I gathered my mana in my hands and grabbed the sword of a bandit, I then poured my mana in the ground and produced a earth ball from beneath him; the earth ball was propelled and hit the groin of the bandit, dad told me that if a man tried to attack me, it was the best place to hit... It look like he was right, the bandit is agonizing on the ground and all other man are sweating.

I was now armed with the bandit sword, two other bandit came at me, I gathered my mana in the sword and infused it with wind magic, the sword easily cuted through their's, they then started running but I made two others earth ball come out, they hitting the same place as for the first bandit.

I looked at the others bandits, Veyna killed 7 bandit and the only one left was their leader with a sword cuted in half.

He looked around and saw Estiel, he tried to rush at her to maybe use her as an hostage, but I threw my sword infused with wind magic; it travelled at an high speed and landed in his arm.

The sword didn't stop flying and made the bandit fly into a wall where the sword was struck. Veyna approached the bandit and asked him with a cold voice.

Veyna : " Who told you... to kidnap her?... "

Bandit Leader : " Like hell I ll answer ! " Veyna cuted his legs, and the bandit screamed.

Veyna : " Who? " She asked again.

Bandit Leader : " Go to hell ! " Veyna was going to cut his other leg, but Fiona stopped him.

Fiona : " Let me talk with him for a moment. "

She approached the bandit and said.

Fiona : " You know, you tried to kidnap my friend and use another as an hostage, you got the choice between telling everything and going to jail, or... "

Bandit Leader : " Haha, you think a little girl will be able to scare me ? "

Fiona : " I should tell you what I will do to you then, I am going to gouge out your... "

While Fiona was talking, Veyna covered my and Estiel's ears by pressing us against her chest, I couldn't hear what she was saying but the face of the bandit had many different expression; at it he was laughing, he then turned white, then blue, and finally started crying.

When she was done talking, Veyna uncovered our ears, I looked at Veyna, it was hard to tell, but she too was affected by what Fiona said.

Veyna : " Fiona...age 6... already scary... dark future. "

Fiona : " Now, will you tell us everything ? "

Bandit Leader : " Yes, so please don't do any of those things ! Our goal was to retrieve the baby dragon who escaped while we were transporting it to Theristid, that dragon landed on your demihuman friend, we thought she would be worth a fortune there so we tried to kidnap her as well; now please send me to jail, don't torture me ! "

Veyna looked at the dragon on my head, she didn't notice him at first but was surprised by his color.

Veyna : " Thats... a golden dragon, only clan capable of opposing dragon king... "

Estiel : " Where did you get that dragon ? "

Bandit Leader : " We baited a golden dragon out of her nest and kidnapped him. "

Shina : " Can I take care of him ? "

Estiel : " You want to raise a golden dragon?! "

Veyna : " Don't know where her mother is... would die alone... it's okay. "

Shina : " By the way, how long does a dragon stay a baby ? "

Veyna : " Around 50 years... "

Fiona : " Look like the sun is setting, we should return to school. "

Shina : " Yeah, we stayed in the clothes shop for too long, we didn't even have a lunch. "

Fiona : " We ll come back another day, let's go "
