Lily and Cesar sat side by side on top of Mother Wolf. Unlike earlier in the day, both of them were not similar in height.

Due to the bone transformation stage, the 4th Houtian Profound Realm, Cesar was now slightly taller than Lily, at 6ft tall.

Cesar thought about the constant change in his life. Lily and Jasmine had been the only two constants since he came into this new world. Emotionally, Lily had supported him, and Cesar was eternally thankful for it.

The love Lily had provided him had done more for Cesar then he could possibly describe with words.

Cesar then looked at Lily. It had been some time since they had just spent time with each other, just enjoying each others company.

Since they were sitting next to each other, Cesar cradled his arm around her, lifting her and setting her in his lap.

Lily, feeling Cesars affection, melted back into his chest.

Cesar brought her his hands towards her chin, tilting her head towards his face. Slowly...looking into her mesmerizing eyes, Cesar lowered his lips into hers.

The touch was electric.

As their lips intertwined with each other, Cesar wrapped his arms around her stomach, exploring her body.

Her soft yet supple skin felt like butter, but her muscles were taut, engineered to perfection.

After their lips parted, Lily had a sensual blush on her face. Cesar couldn't help himself and smiled. He tightened his arms around Lily and pulled her closer against him.

That caused a deep, almost inaudible moan in Lilys throat. But Cesar heard it and smirked.

When Lily realized that she had let the soft moan escape, she turned 6 shades of red. Her heartbeat rose and her breathing became erratic.

The reaction melted Cesars heart.

Cesar took the positive emotions he was feeling; the elation, happiness, joy, pleasure, affection, trust, contentment, and tsunami waves of love, and channeled them into his aura, sending it directly towards Lily.

When Lily felt the aura of love from Cesar, tears of happiness flowed flowed from her eyes.

“I'm sorry for not paying enough attention to you Lily. I'm not being a good future husband. Please forgive me.” Cesar said.

Lily only replied with a moan of contentment and glued her body against his.

Cesar dropped his face towards Lilys welcoming and warm neck. He placed a soft kiss on her smooth skin, and nested his face against her.

Both Cesar and Lily enjoyed the wonderful and loving moment.

The picturesque canvas broke when both Lily and Cesar heard a familiar sound.

The warning bell has started sounding from the village. Both Lily and Cesar, on top of Mother Wolf, had arrived at the village.

Cesar could only sigh...

It seemed like the village scouts had seen the behemoth Mother Wolf, a King Ranked Ferocious Beast heading towards the village.

Yet Lily and Cesar both stayed in each others arms. Neither wanted to move or leave each others embrace...

So the village army hurriedly gathered at what they thought was a King Ranked Ferocious Beast attack. The few rare and elusive Xiantian Profound Realm Cultivators in the village, also prepared for battle. This was after all, a fight against a King Ranked Ferocious Beast.

By the time Lily and Cesar arrived in front of the village walls, a myriad of Cultivators had shown up in front of the village to battle.

When they saw Lily and Cesar holding each other, looking their way on top of the King Ranked Silver Wolf, their expressions became twisted.

“Looks like we have a warm reception to welcome us back.” Cesar said with mirth. Cesar made no attempt at hiding his amusement. “Is it our wedding Lily? They all seem to be on ceremony.” Cesar teased.

Lily once again flush 6 shades of red. Cesar just chuckled. He now understood why Jasmine teased so often.

Then a familiar figure emerged from the crowd. Unlike everyone else, who had confused and reverent expressions, his face contained a smirk which radiated slight amusement.

It was General Calix.

“*Snort* You two never cease to surprise me. You two disappear for half a day and bring back a tamed King Ranked Ferocious Beast.” General Calix said.

General Calix seem to ignore the mountain of treasures Lily was carrying. But everyone else were eyeing them with uncovered greed in their eyes. They were the most prominent Cultivators in the village. They always had the best. The best Elixirs, weapons, armor and meat. When they saw the enormous King Ranked Ferocious Beast pelt, they imagined various pieces of armor being craft for themselves. With the 40 meter size of the pelt, and with eventual stretching of the pelt, it was enough to craft any pieces of armor and any extra luxury they wanted.

So they all shared a similar gaze of combined greed.

There was one especially greedy gaze in the crowd. When he stepped forward, every other Cultivator seem to recognize him and even seem to worship him. Their greed and anticipation also seemed to accumulate on that one person.

He was male. 6.3ft tall with wavy golden hair. He looked young but with Cesars acute senses, he noticed the minuscule details of aging. It seemed this person used aging Elixirs to keep himself looking young. Cesar could tell that his person had the highest Cultivation is the village, at 5th Xiantian Profround Realm. It was also whom he felt danger from.

With his perfect smile and greedy eyes, he stepped forward and looked at Lily. Even though he was stricken with her beauty, the greed in his heart won out. “I am Desmond Cloud. From the Imperial Family branch. You must be Lily. I've heard quite a lot about you in the past few days. It's a pleasure to meet you. It seems that the rumors of your beauty hold true. I was here for a battle but it seems like a false alarm. How about we talk business instead. I would like to purchase the King Ranked pelt, bones and meat...and also the tamed wolf.”

Even though Desmond was ignoring Cesar, Cesar himself looked on in amusement. But underlying that amusement, was both caution and seriousness. There were a few ways this situation could unfold. The Imperial Family was not an enemy Cesar could afford to have. So if this turned into a confrontation and a fight, then everyone had to die. The Cultivators, the witnesses...it meant the entire village had to be killed. Leaving them alive after a fight would most likely get both Lily and himself killed.

But that was the worst case scenario. Greed made people blind, not stupid. Not to mention, every piece of evidence pointed to Cesar and Lily being the stronger side. Desmond wasn't stupid and didn't want to anger them. One of the teens had cleanly split a King Ranked Ferocious Beast in half and tamed the other. He didn't have the ability to do that. No one in the village did. It was why he offered to buy the dead King Ranked Ferocious Beast, and not just forcefully take the treasure.

The strong were respected and feared. But there was strength in numbers and a common goal. Desmond didn't believe that Lily would kill everyone here. But no one had heard of the situation at the Flame family household. The Flame family Patriarch had clamped down on the elders and the entire family in fear of an information leak.

If Desmond or any Cultivator turned hostile towards them, Lily would kill them in an instant.

Cesar looked at Lily. He wanted to see hear her response. It would determine how they would proceed from here on.

Lily just looked down at Mother Wolf with a familiar gaze and stroked the soft fur. “Desmond... Cesar and I will soon leave to the capital for the Exhibit. Mother Wolf here won't be for sale. Since we'll be representing your village, you will have to sponsor us as per the rules. We'll keep 5 meters of the pelt for ourselves. The other 5 meters is solely for General Calix.” Lily flashed a slight smile towards General Calix and he nodded in appreciation. “The bones also won't be for sale. They are for our personal Elixirs. So you can offer a price on 30 meters of pelt left. Only Elixirs, weapons, armor and a small amount of coins. If you stretch the pelt, it will be 40 meters. More than enough for you and the other Cultivators. The meat will be for the general public. I'm sure most people in the village have yet to eat Ferocious Beast meat, much less King Ranked meat. Make it a celebration for the upcoming Exhibit. I'll leave the coordination for the event in your hands. We will also be leaving shortly to hunt more. So expect more King Ranked Ferocious Beasts. But tell me, are you representing yourself or the entire entourage of Cultivators.”

Lily then placed the different parts of the King Ranked Silver Wolf on the ground. The ropes made of blood retracted and were absorbed back into Lily. Cesar was impressed. Lily had spoken beautifully. The negotiations were in their favor. She had done an act of good will for the village and as the ruler of the village, Desmond would be more inclined to express his good will. Lily had also been fair in the entire ordeal. And since Lily had mentioned representing the village in the capital, this had turned into a matter of future 'face'. The hostility had also become non-existent at this point.

The danger that Cesar had felt from Desmond had also dissipated. It seemed that the situation had potential for danger, and now... since the issue had resolved, the danger was no longer there.

But Cesar knew his '6th sense' of danger was super natural. It predicted the potential future. That could be abused. It seemed that he needed to discuss this with Jasmine.

Desmond looked thoughtful and his expression of greed had dampened. His expression become soft and caring. “I'm representing the entire village in this trade. Hmm... Since you'll be hunting more King Ranked Ferocious Beasts and I will have to sponsor you two regardless, I'll help with the armor and weapons. Now... Let's talk about the price. I'll be buying the 30 meters of pelt. If the future supply becomes too much, I'll think about selling the stuff at the capital. It will also be how I can give you the most fair price.”

Lily nodded. “General Calix will represent us in the price negotiations. We have Ferocious Beasts to hunt.” She turned to General Calix and smiled. “You get 5% of the price as the middle man. So get us a good price.”

General Calix laughed and nodded. He had a twinkle in his eyes as well as appreciation. He knew that Lily didn't need to make him a middle man. It was just her soft heart and goodwill.

Then Lily patted Mother Wolf. Seemly knowing the gesture, the 40 meter tall wolf turned around and sped off. Since the work had been done, and their small trip back to the village had been fruitful, it was time to go back to the forest.

Cesar had yet to advance to The Xiantian Profound Realm. The King Ranked Ferocious Beast blood also had an effect of Lily. Her Cultivation had crawled forward for the first time in years.

And so the couple made their way deep into the forest holding hands, continuing their journey of Cultivation.
