《An A.I Is Such A Cheat In The Martial World!》Chapter 15 - The Formless Fighting Style

Authors Note: Enjoy the early chapter. I am writing a new novel I think you all will enjoy. It's inspired by Change:New World, and God and Devil World. It's called A Dangerous New World. It's been a concept I've wanted to do for almost half a year now. Since I'm invested in the concept, I'll be adding weekly chapters.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Mother Wolf was a native to the hostile lands of the forest. She had been living in the wild, dangerous world all her life. Mother Wolf knew what Lily and Cesar wanted. Suitable opponents and resources. So she quickly made her way towards other territories harbored by King Ranked Ferocious Beasts. As a native, Mother Wolf knew certain traveled paths, which were not only safer, but also faster.
Mother Wolf also had a special destination in mind.
From behind, Lily had her arms around Cesars chest, enjoying his soft skin and broad chest with the tips of her fingers. Cesar himself was inside his soul, with Jasmine.
Cesar was currently fighting against 4 King Ranked Ferocious Beasts inside his soul as a form of training. All the Ferocious Beasts Jasmine had created harbored different sizes and attributes.
The first Ferocious Beast was a 1 meter tall Sterling Silver Snake. It was thin and attacked with total accuracy and speed. The entire body was covered with razor sharp silver scales that cut into Cesar with ease.
The second Ferocious Beast fighting against Cesar was a 30 meter tall Black Star Spider. It created webs and tried to capture and obstruct Cesar with them. It sometimes threw them at Cesar or laid them directly in front of his path. It had great intelligence and it was the most annoying opponent Cesar faced. It specialized in control and obstruction.
The third specialized Ferocious Beast was a 10 meter tall Tungsten Golem. It specialized in defense. Tungsten was a naturally hard element, and even with Cesars Yang covered Iron Sword, he could only cause shallow wounds on the Tungsten crust body. Since the Ferocious Beast specialized in defense, it also had impeccable defensive maneuvers. It's weakness was the core inside it's chest. Cesar wasn't able to reach it with his sword however.
The last was a towering 60 meter tall Cyclops with a carbon fiber club. It's attributes were pure strength. But compared to the other Ferocious Beasts, it was slow. That was the giants weakness.
In the grand scheme of things however, it didn't matter.
Since Jasmine were controlling each Ferocious Beast, their team work was flawless. Each Ferocious Beast covered for each other. The spider made Cesars life living hell. It controlled where Cesar moved, setting up for the giant Cyclops to club Cesar to death.
The small snake ambushed Cesar in the most unsuspecting moments. Weaving around Cesar at lightning speed and each attack would either impair or kill Cesar. It was the ultimate ninja.
The Golem covered for Cesars counter attacks. It made sure every other Ferocious Beast could do their jobs of killing without impairments or injury.
So far, Cesar had died over 18 times against the uncompromising and united opponents.
There were rules Cesar had to abide by in this engagement, which had been set by Jasmine. He was only allowed to use a sword covered with Yang energy. No lightning, wind, flame or water attacks.
Since Cesar was inside his soul with his emotions running amok, Jasmine would taunt him every now and then.
[Realize your weaknesses yet?] Jasmine chided.
Cesars rage was at a boiling point. He wasn't used to controlling his own emotions.
“You... What weaknesses! They are just too strong! They have abnormal intelligence and coordination! If the rules didn't restrict me, they would all be puddles of blood!” Cesar shouted with angst.

[Ohh look... A Houtian Profound Realm Cultivator with super OP moves. Look at all that potential... Hmm... If I was a super power, wouldn't I have thoughts about controlling such a resource! IDIOT! In your situation, showing weakness is a sign of strength, since you won't have weaknesses in reality! It will also act as a security measure! Don't reveal your strength if you don't have to.]
For Jasmine, this little stipulation had dozens of both mental and physical implications.
The strong showing their strength was expected. But when the weak showed abnormal amounts of strength, they were usually silenced, controlled or restricted. She didn't want Cesar to put himself into that situation.
With a softer tone of voice, Jasmine said [Not to mention... You're human... For now.]
With her little lecture over, she decided to actively help Cesar and move forward with her plans.
While Cesar continued to fight against the Ferocious Beasts inside his soul, information started appearing in his mind.
[Cesar... You have to understand that humans have a limited range of movement. In fighting styles, they value fluidity and smoothness. It's their way of working around their physical and mental restrictions. It also makes them weak when they think it makes them strong. They can't operate each part of their bodies separately like I can...they just don't have the mental capacity. Right now, you are at the cusp of removing that limiter... But in the future, you will have no restrictions. So depend on me for now. I've set up a fighting style for you... It's based around my personal style, fighting with multiple streams of consciousness.”
Cesar indirectly knew the power of multiple streams of consciousness. Sadly... For now, he could only experience it indirectly.
The fighting style Jasmine had mentioned revolved around working with-in full capacity of human bodies. Each part of human bodies had limited range of movements. Fingers could be pointed or curled, with 10 individual fingers moving simultaneously. Palms could be opened or closed. Elbows could be opened or closed, and so on.
With infinite streams of consciousness, a person would be able to control all their body parts separately. That would render fluidity and smoothness utterly obsolete. Humans had to make their fighting styles fluid and smooth because they only had a single mind, and could only be attentive to a few practicalities in any situation. But Cesar didn't have all those mental restrictions, not with Jasmine on his side. He still had some temporary restrictions, but Jasmine would resolve them in the future.
Jasmine could read Cesars mind instantly. That also meant that she could react to his thoughts immediately. With newfound access to his body, teamwork and coordination was now possible between Cesar and Jasmine regarding physical fighting. Well... More like Cesar planning and Jasmine executing those plans.
With total control of the body, many unexplored possibilities reveal themselves. Attacking and Defending at the same time along with Profound Movement Techniques. Those were just two of the many advantages that would soon come Cesars way.
Imagine controlling the arms, legs, hip, feet and hands separately. Fighting against such a style would be impossible.
Jasmine called it The Formless Fighting Style. This unique fighting style was totally unpredictable and would give Cesar unparalleled advantage in any confrontation. Be it against one or many enemies. It would also give Cesar unlimited options and possibilities in the future.
Not to mention, it prepared Cesar to fight with different physical forms. It focused on individual parts, not the collective. But since Cesar was still human, Jasmine had designed it so Cesar could focus on both the individual and the collective. She took the best of human knowledge and her personal fighting style and combined them together.

Jasmine wanted to increase Cesars overall physical maneuverability. If Cesar then added his other advantages such as Lightning, Flames, Water, Wind, Yang and Yin energy, it would make Cesar an enormous and absolute powerhouse.
Currently, Cesar had fantastic 'elemental' abilities. But in terms of bodily capabilities, Cesar was utterly lacking.
The fighting style contained colossal amounts of future improvements. It was originally meant for multiple streams of consciousness. And currently, Cesar contained only one collective consciousness. The Formless Fighting Style had room to grow. It gave immediate and instant advantage to Cesar in the present as well as potential future advantage. A win-win in Jasmines mind.
Not to mention, Jasmine knew in both physical and ethereal form, her fighting style was the greatest. In the future, Cesar would not only use his multiple streams of consciousness for his physical bouts, but also over his 'elemental' attacks. Multiple attacks with different attributes were possible with multiple streams of consciousness. Cesar was going to have a very powerful and unique fighting style.
It was why Jasmine wanted Cesar to fight physically with the 4 King Ranked Ferocious Beasts without the help of his powers. It would help him see the implication and strengths of The Formless Fighting Style. Of course, Jasmine didn't tell Cesar that the beasts he was fighting were half-way to Desolate Beasts in practical strength. All together, Cesar was facing what Jasmine predicted was the strength of a normal Desolate Beast.
Jasmine was always thinking about the future and preparing Cesar accordingly. The placebo effect worked wonders on humans. Jasmine laughed to herself inwardly.
Jasmine had also introduced Cesar to the variety of Desolate Beasts. Jasmine knew, in the future, Cesar would have to fight Desolate Beasts with all of attributes. Strength, Defense, Speed, Agility, Poison, Long Range Attacks... There were infinite varieties. Jasmine needed to prepare Cesar for the strongest combinations.
The current debacle Cesar was facing were enemies that could send mental signals to each other, fighting with total unity. Jasmine knew there was a possibility that Cesar would face entire colonies of Beasts that worked collectively on a single mind. A so called 'Hive' mind. They were enemies based on Jasmine herself. From her simulations, these son-of-bitches usually ended up ruling over entire planets and galaxies. In smaller number and strength, they still ruled over their area with absolute authority.
That was the power of complete unity.
So millions of simulations were playing out in Cesars mind while he was fighting the 4 Ferocious Beasts. Form, posture, style, different and unique patterns, and bilateral ways of thinking about fighting situations and positions.
Due to previous upgrades by Jasmine, the information inside Cesars mind turned into partial muscle memory automatically. Since Cesar was experiencing millions of simulations, a transformation started occurring.
People stood, walked, sat, talked and acted in a certain way. There were ways of doing certain actions which were etched into the subconscious. That gave rise to predictability. In a life and death struggle, predictability could lead to death. The Formless Fighting Style didn't have that flaw. There were no set and repeating patterns in the form.
Cesar quickly learned that fighting against an enemies mentality and rhythm was crucial. Cesar learned to love the unpredictability that this new fighting style granted.
Slowly, the fight against the 4 virtual Ferocious Beasts altered. The Ferocious Beasts no longer had an abnormal advantage. Cesar slowly started seeing the patterns and rhythms in play, only to have them changed by Jasmine. But in those few moments of transition between patterns and styles, Cesar would cleanly injure one of the four Ferocious Beasts.
[In the real world, subconscious patterns in enemies don't suddenly change. But enemies, especially humans, will sometimes lure you with certain patterns which they will suddenly change at crucial and important moments. It's an easy way to get kills.]
Cesar soon felt like metal chains had been taken off of his body. Years of muscle memory, ingrained patterns, and linear thinking as a human on Earth was being erased and altered in both his mind and his body.
Soon, entirely new ways of moving both on the ground and in the air opened themselves to Cesar.
[Now you're getting it...] Jasmine smiled. Cesar was also building up his fighting instincts as he fought risk free inside his soul.
As usual, Jasmine was brilliant in her methodology. She tackled a plethora of obstacles simultaneously.
Then suddenly, at the same time, Lily tapped Cesars shoulders and Cesar himself felt a rush of danger.
He immediately exited his soul and opened his eyes, looking at Lily.
“What happened?” Cesar questioned attentively. But as he looked at Lilys face, he saw excitement. Pure, unadulterated excitement on her face.
Then the booming sounds of Ferocious Beasts hit his ears. They weren't wails or screams of torment, pain or bloodshed. No, they were shouts of pure excitement and blood-rush.
Cesar immediately looked at the source of the sound. What he saw made him dumbstruck.
It was a giant crater...made by what looked like a meteor. It was 1 kilometers in diameter.
The inside of the crater was metallic and hard from what Cesar assumed was the heat of the initial meteor blast.
But that was not what made him dumbstruck. Inside the pit, were dozens of Elite and King-ranked Ferocious Beasts fighting against equal opponents, One-on-One. The pit was divided into different sections, for different levels of power.
But that was not all. Outside the circular pit, were countless Elite and King-ranked Ferocious Beasts. They were all roaring in excitement. Most of them were eating fruits, vegetables, or their killed prey.
But there was no fighting or chaos outside the pit. It was like their version of a Roman Colosseum. Every Ferocious Beast outside was watching a sporting event. if any of the Elite or King Ranked Ferocious Beast wanted, they could join and enter the pit at any moment.
It was an open tournament. One-on-One. Fight to the death with an opponent of equal strength. Winner takes home the corpse. No outside interference allowed.
These were the rules which Cesar gleamed from the situation.
Slowly, as Cesar watched the unusual situation, the hierarchy of Ferocious Beasts relieved itself. Lily wasn't qualified. She was too strong to be ranked.
But Cesar saw himself being placed in-between the Elite Ferocious Beasts and the King Ranked Ferocious Beasts, giving him access to both.
Cesar knew, that if he wanted, he could step into the pit at any moment and fight either an Elite Ranked Ferocious Beast or a King Ranked Ferocious Beast to the death.
As the countless Ferocious Beast felt Cesar being added onto the hierarchy, they first looked at him with confusion. Then human like evil smiles appeared onto their faces that radiated pure excitement. Some even gave him taunting looks.
Most were wary of Lily. But when they felt no hostility or danger from her, their tensions eased and they went back to enjoying the festival.
Cesar looked at Mother Wolf with pure excitement and thankfulness. She just smiled slightly and nodded because she felt the same.
“Remember to use only your physical abilities Cesar... Since it's what your rank is assessed at. It's too bad I'm not qualified for this... Maybe there another section with power levels similar to mine.” Lily gave Cesar advise and didn't hide her excitement or envy.
This was a new experience for both Cesar and Lily. Both wanted to be a part of this. Even though Lily had mentioned a section with power levels similar to her own so she could also fight to the death, she wouldn't leave Cesar unattended. Her first priority was Cesars safety. It was just her excitement talking.
Cesar felt his blood boil. It seemed that advanced Ferocious Beasts had their own culture, regulations, rules and life-styles. They weren't mindless monsters.
Ferocious Beasts themselves enjoyed bloodshed in a civil way.
He was beginning to like the Ferocious Beast world more and more.
Cesar knew that he hadn't gleamed all the information about this place. There were secrets and he wanted to uncover them.
But first, he wanted a true battle to the death!

Ending Note: As always... Remember to comment! Consider leaving a review for the novel! It only takes a moment!
Also, since exam month (April) is coming up, the chapters might arrive 1-2 days late. This is just a heads-up. I'll do my best to keep up with my self imposed schedule, but it might not be possible for April.
