Jacob was tired and annoyed, he wanted to finish up the night by updating Isiah or Talia about everything that had happened in the last day. He is never that lucky, someone decided to jump-start a Rebellion...He was going to kill them all, both sides cause he needed a dam beer and some sleep. So he grabbed Moonlight, his spare knife, and walked out of his room and straight into an open battle. Two Guards were getting pushed back by a mixed group of Orcs and Kobolds. Behind them not even 2 feet in front of him was a Vampire standing there in a mail shirt that looked to be made of silver, yelling encouragement at the Orcs and Kobolds. Guess he was going to support the Queen. Jacob drew Moonlight and shoved it through the Vampires chest, the Vampire screamed in pain and jumped forward away from Jacob. The idiot turned around and...It was the idiot from the Gatehouse. He would never side with that idiot, Power Slash quickly removed the idiots head. After that, he slammed into the rear of the Rebels formation. Blood and screams flew and about 30 seconds later the fight was done. The Guards looked a little rough but they were healing quickly.

"Evening gentlemen, it is a wonderful night, isn't it...A little rain and thunder but not to bad right??" Jacob quiped. Both men laughed before stiffening, "When I turn around I am going to be facing more rebels arn't I?" Jacob asked. Both Guards nodded. Of course...So he turned around and faced another 6 Rebels led by a Berserker, all were level 12 minimum. Ok Energy Blade followed by Charge ended with him right in the Orcs face. He was still reeling from the Energy Blade so he used Double Slash on the Orcs stomach and watched the intestines spilled out on the ground. Jacob back peddled from the rushing crowd while triggering Aura Blast, only two managed to break free from the throng to rush him. The guards flowed around Jacob and the two combatants and engaged the rest of the group. He kept parrying their blades, but some strikes were starting to get through. He needed to change the pace of the fight so he swept the swords of his attackers to one side and shoulder charged one of the attackers. The Orc went down, losing his sword in the process. The Kobold freaked a little out and tried to jump on him so he slamed his fist in his head and Bit into his throat. The Kobold reflexively tried to jump away, he succeded in ripping his own throat out.

He quickly glanced at the Guards, the were finishing up their fight and the Orcs was getting back up. He turned around to stike at the Guards from behind so Jacob stepped up and used Power Strike to sever his head. The fight in this corridor was done finally, both Vampires were tired but ready to start hunting too. A buff had been added to him since he bit the Kobold.

Buff: Fresh Kill

Description: Increase your health Regeneration increased by 100% for the next 5 Min, open wounds will close (That isnt a hicky) careful, biting can be addictive

No wonder biting could be addictive, 100% increase to health regeneration for 5 min. He really missed his Bonded right now, it would be nice to have a War Party. All he had though was 2 Heart Guards, hopefully, they all would survive by staying together. An hour later they had finally made it to the Main Hall, everyone was still alive though. They had figured out that 3 Houses had rebelled against the Royal one. House Blood Raven, Black Thorn, and Snow Wolf had flooded the palace with a couple hundred Orcs, Goblins, Kobolds, and Drow with an occasional Vampire thrown in the mix. Most were dead but so were the Heart Guards, the Guards out leveled the attackers but when they had a 5 to 1 advantage. The Queen and Captain faced off against two Lords and a Lady of the three Houses.

The trash mob was getting squezed from both sides as more and more of the Heart Guards finally faught free from the other parts of the palace to support their brethern in the Main Hall. The two Guards he had fought with were no different, they rushed ahead to add their strength to the melee. Jacob knew he couldn't fight the Nobles, he could fight the mob of fighters though. He joined the fray and cast Energy Storm and swept his sword at a drow who was trying to behead a Guardsman. The drow screamed in pain as his arm was cut from his body, first rule James taught Jacob always be aware of your sorroundings. He then sent out an Aura Blast that weakened his enemies further then threw himself at the enemy formation cutting left and right trying to get through them tget to the Queen and Captain.

10 minutes later he had managed to punch a hole in the enemy formation with the help of a dozen of the Guard. He was bleeding out from a dozen wounds, he saw both the Queen and Captain had a couple wounds too now. Sgt Shadowstrider had joined the fray but wasn't doing as well as either the Queen or Captain. In fact, the Female was kicking his ass...He was never going to let the Sgt live this down. Whatever he did, he was going to have only one shot and after that, he was dead meat. So he waited and bided his time, the Sgt noticed him and started to try and maneuver the Lady so her back was to Jacob. He half succeeded before she caught on which allowed the Sgt to go on the offensive again. Which was apparently the Ladies plan, she swept the Sgt James sword wide so he could not defend himself so he let it go and dashed forward and wrapped his arms around her to pin her arms to her sides while he winked at Jacob.

Jacob dashed forward and bit down and the other Nobles throat, she screamed in rage and pain as Jacob literally started to drain her strength and health away from her. She tried to throw them off and since the Sgt couldn't do anything else Jacob slammed his dagger into her throat. The woman struggles lessoned then died altogether, as life left her a buff registered for Jacob.

Buff: Life Blood of an Elder

Description: You have drunk the essence of an Elder Vampire, due to this you will gain a portion of their strength. +150% to all stats, Physical attack damage increased 100%, Damage Reduced by 100%, Health Regeneration increased by 150% for the next 5 minutes after that you will be exhausted and possibly die without medical attention

HOLY SHIT, it felt like he got injected with adrenaline. If this is what High-level Vampires felt all the time, dam he couldn't wait. He drew his sword and entered the melee on the Queen and Captains side, the Noble grunted in surprise as Jacob drove him away from the tired pair. Jacob rapidly activated Aura Blast and Double Shot. The Vampire screamed in rage as his arm was nearly severed, the Lord tried to take his head with a swing but he ducked the swing and grabbed the arm and finished ripping it off. The Lord screamed and dropped his sword and grabbed at the stump of his arm, big mistake. Jacob activated Power Slash and removed the Lords' head. Two down and one to go. He turned around and tossed the severed arm at the last Rebel before casting Energy Blade, the arm and blast were distractions while he closed to sword range. Of course, this one was the most powerful one, of course, he was keeping up with Jacobs sword strokes so he activated Energy Storm and the Vampire grunted in pain as he was constantly bombarded by damage. Jacob activated Power Slash and targeted his enemies sword. It was knocked out of his hand and the reverse cut opened up his throat. Double Slash finished the fight with a double strike to the neck removed his head.

All the remaining trash mobs let out a wail of despair as the last of the rebel leaders died, then they started throwing down weapons and some tried to run away. Those that ran, died. Those that surrendered were spared for now. "Well, that was surprising, how are you feeling my lord?" James asked. Jacob looked at the timer on Life Blood of an Elder, less than 30 seconds left. "Ok, pretty soon I am going to come down from the power I stole from that other Elder when I do I am going to crash badly. Please don't let me die!" Jacob responded and then darkness claimed him.

Jacob slowly came too, he felt even worse now than when his brain had almost been fried. Standing around his bed were Talia, Isiah, James, an Older looking Vampire, and all his Bonded. "James if you are going to use my head as target practice for your Guards, please just remove it from my body next time." Isiah and James chuckled at his joke, Talia rolled her eyes and the Older looking Vampire just continued to stare. Tough crowd. His Bonded relaxed, although June looked like she either wanted to kidnap or stab him, Shigna just winked at him, and Snaggletooth had that goofy smile he always gave him.

"Well I am glad you are awake, please do not do that again," Talia responded.

"Saving you or blacking out and almost dying because of it?" Jacob responded.

"I believe she means almost dying my lord." Isiah quickly answered.

"The better question is how exactly he did what he did. Tell me, boy, how is that you managed to take out 3 Vampires that have been alive nearly as long as the kingdoms you lived in when you were mortal?" the white-haired vampire asked.

"Uhh, luck and Teamwork" Jacob grumbled.

It looked like the Vampire was going to ask for a more thorough response when the Queen growled at him "Leave now, he nearly died defending my crown. You and the rest of the council did nothing. Any further insults will be considered insults against me, is that understood?"

The Vampire looked like he was going to argue but James picked him up walked him to the door and threw him out "Gentlemen please escort this thing out of the Palace. If he offers any resistance, remove his head."

James walked back in the room with a smug smile on his face, Jacob wished he had seen the Lords face. "Anyone want to tell what was going on while I was out?" Jacob asked. "Besides you saving the day?? No, we just finished sweeping the Palace and the Guard is out in force in the Inner City. All of House Blood Raven, Black Thorn, and Snow Wolf properties have been seized by the crown. All the Full Bloods of those Houses will be executed within the hour and any commoner who is discovered with knowledge of the rebellion will be executed as well. Most of the bonded died in the assault, those that survived will go to the Pit. Your bonded insisted on being here. As far as everything that happened with the Lich and with the Bloodfang clan, your Bonded updated us on both situations. Now get some rest, we will discuss the ramifications of this night tomorrow. Your bonded will be staying in the adjacent apartments near you. Goodnight Lord Longstrider." With that Talia led everyone out of the room.

He had equipment waiting for him too, but he needed some real rest and he still needed a beer. Log Out. Real World...

It was night outside, he stretched his legs while going to the fridge. Didn't often drink but the last couple days had been difficult and he needed a break. He also was going to have to figure out what to do with his friends tomorrow. He trusted Matt, Jordan, Bree, and Jared with his life. All of them were associated with well-developed Guilds though. He had to call Marc and figure out what he could tell his friends. He had about a dozen voice messages and dozens of texts from all his gamer friends and with the BBQ coming up tomorrow he wouldn't have a choice in responding. He finished his beer as he stared out at the city lights and wondered exactly what tomorrow would bring.
