(Exit Okoro still laughing)
Lazy goat! He only knows how to crack expensive jokes and fill his belly with food. I better wait until he has swept the room before arranging it.
(Exit Bimpe. Okoro re-enters, sweeps the room, singing as he does. He finishes and calls out to Bimpe.)

My son, Femi, Liz wrote to me saying that you asked her to be your wife.
FEMI: That's true, ma, but everything depends on your approval.
BIMPE: I will not stand in the way of my daughter's happiness, my dear. Whatever pleases her pleases me. As you must surely know, she is the only one I have, and so she is dearer to me than life itself. If she loves and wishes to be married to you, that is alright by me. I beg you in the name of God not to maltreat her. Look after her and be faithful to her. And may God in all his mercies bless your marriage with lots of children. That is all I shall say for now.

The Lady's Handbook of Intrigue and Murder (High Fantasy Politics)
Summary:The daughter of a dying house is summoned to the Imperial City to meet and perhaps marry a handsome prince. It sounds like a fairy tale. Except Mydea doesn’t have the advantage of a half-forgotten childhood encounter, supreme magic to match the highest echelons of society, or even the privilege of an ally. In order to survive and make a name for herself, she must beat the Imperial Court at its own game. At least no one's tried to kill her—yet. Notes: Basically, if you liked the magic of Harry Potter and the politics of Game of Thrones, you'll probably like this. While the first book focuses on the female lead, and the interplay of competing regional and imperial interests, subsequent books will also cover warfare and how I imagine that differs wildly from historical norms with the introductions of a magical aristocracy. 8 225Edge of the Storm
A thousand years after narrowly escaping extinction, humanity still fights for survival on the fringe of space. On the alien, hostile world of Deana, Taro is tasked with dealing a mortal blow to an enemy that has pursued the last dregs of the human species across light years. From the Wild Summer hyper-carrier, Taro must strike out at an enemy that seems like it would stop at absolutely nothing to ensure humanity's time in the universe draws to an end. The key to it all is Valerie, a human bred super-weapon, and the discovery she makes aboard the enemy craft Delirium. What to expect from Edge of the Storm: You will find here a slow burning story that is punctured by moments of high flying action, intense mecha battles, gory hand-to-hand combat, tough decisions and sacrifices. What you won't find are black and white morals, harems, cute girls, big boobs, or anything else that might bring me troves of readers. You have been warned. Update schedule: Saturdays (and maybe Wednesdays).
8 82All for Tartarus
And Tartarus for all. Following the murder of their parents, five brothers take the law into their own hands. Their brand of justice becomes addictive, though. Before long, the untouchable lower classes of Tartarus' under-city hail the young men as heroes, eager to see the syndicates that rule over them starting to sweat. The self-styled vigilantes soon find that there can be no return to a normal life... especially when one of their number refuses to let them. This novel takes its inspiration from Death Note, Sin City, Watchmen, Banks novels, and various noir books and movies. It features strong themes, often portrayed in a gritty and theatrical manner. Reader discretion is advised... but for those of you who like that stuff, enjoy! Updates every Friday.
