《Devil Cultivator in an Ability User World》(Rewritten) Chapter 11 - Picking a Weapon and Awakening a Martial Art

Hearing her call him over, Damien flinched a bit but walked over to her anyway.
"Yes, Miss?" Damien looked up at Mrs. Quila's stern eyes and indifferently spoke to her. Mrs. Quila looked at Damien for a while before she finally started speaking in a tired voice.
"Why did you break Troy's arm? Don't you think that was a bit over the top?"
"Um, not really. He dealt out pain to Michael so he should be prepared to get it in return." Damien's indifferent voice shocked Mrs. Quila a bit and her earlier assumption of him being a psychopath seemed more accurate than ever.
"But did you have to do that to him? He didn't do any irreparable damage to Michael, you broke his arm and the psychological trauma imposed on him could affect him for the rest of his life." Mrs. Quila's stern voice was showing how fed up she was with Damien's indifferent attitude.
Damien just shrugged, his indifferent face fading into an annoyed one.
"What does it matter? He'll survive won't he?" hearing this, Mrs. Quila was stunned at the dismissal of his actions but from the annoyed look on his face, she knew she wouldn't get anything more from him and simply motioned that she was done with him.
Damien trudged off, annoyed. Not with Mrs. Quila but with himself and how he lost control.
'What am I, a child? I'm old enough to be the ancestor of someone's family, I should act like it...'
Even though he said this, Damien could feel something had been released in his body and it couldn't be put away. Thinking about his overly emotional state, Damien knew he'd have to be more careful this time.
Shaking the distractions out of his head, Damien and the rest of his group walked towards Mrs.Quila and sat down semi-circle in front of her. Seeing this, Mrs.Quila started speaking to the group.
"Okay now that we've done the sparring contests, we have to move onto picking your individual weapons and martial art that you will practice in. If this Martial art can be applied to your weapon of choice, even better."
Damien, hearing this, became incredibly excited, he couldn't help but stand up well before the others and looked ready to run to wherever Mrs. Quila led them.
Damien was so excited because in his past life he was mainly a jack of all trades when it came to weapons. He'd use whatever would get the job done, so he never really focused on any one weapon and this turned into a regret of his. Sure he could learn to master one of the many weapons he could use when he had reached the pinnacle of power in his old world, but where would the fun in that be?
So in this life, he decided he should pick up a weapon and dedicate himself to it, taking it with him from when he's weak all the way until he's strong. This idea made Damien's blood rush with excitement.

As the rest of the class followed suit and stood up with the same excitement as Damien, Mrs. Quila quickly pressed some buttons on the console next to her and the arena went back into the tiles.
In its place, multiple racks of weapons came up through the parted grey tiles. There were many different kinds from Spears, both Large and Small Swords, Gauntlets, to less traditional weapons such as Katars, Gladius, Tridents, and Nunchakus. While looking at all these weapons Damien and the other students face lit up like lights and Damien only got more excited when he saw the variety that he had to choose from.
"Okay then, go and have a look at what weapon you want. But be warned once you pick one, while we don't ban you from picking another weapon, you should focus on the one you pick today, it'll stop you from falling behind on your weapons practice." Mrs. Quila spoke with a stern but caring voice, as to bite off more than one could chew would result in never mastering anything.
Damien nodded his head at this as this was the exact same problem he had with weapons in his last life.
As her students seemed eager, Mrs. Quila dismissed them so they could go and have a look at the weapons they could pick from. Damien started looking at the ones nearest to him, they were a normal sword, some gauntlets, and another sword but this one was much larger.
As he looked at the normal sword he quickly dismissed it, he thought if he was gonna use a weapon, he ought to use an interesting one, one that would be hard to master. As he looked at the gauntlet he also quickly dismissed that as well because he already had his fists and they would become useless when his body becomes strong enough, then he looked at the Large sword and thought about it, then he also dismissed it because it was just a bigger sword.
As he was looking at other weapons such as a spear or dual wielding daggers and none of them felt right, when he just about gave up, he saw it. A weapon that he felt was interesting, a weapon he felt would be fun to learn.
It was a Bisento and it looked like something made to fight, made to kill.
Damien was drawn to it like metal to a magnet. He couldn't take his eyes off of it at all and when he was standing in front of it, he could finally take in its full beauty. A pole that was about 158cm long and was colored an abyssal black while the blade that came out at the top of the shaft was about 56cm long looked like it had been bathed in blood for millennia and as a result was permanently dyed a sanguine red. It looked like it was dripping with blood and it seemed to give off an aura of blood.

Damien picked it up and looked at it excitedly, feeling the incredible weight of the weapon and knowing it would superbly compliment his enormous brute strength.
But as he was admiring his new-found companion there was a sudden spike of intense pain at the back of his head. Coincidentally, it was where he kept all his information about the Immortal Devil King Technique. It seemed like there was something trying to come out of the technique and upon a closer look, Damien discovered it seemed like it was a...question?
As Damien was dragged into his inner mind where he kept all his information on the techniques like the Immortal Devil King Technique, the first thing he noticed was that all his surroundings in his inner mind had changed from the normal white and blue color into a red and black mixture. This change startled him but he quickly calmed down when he saw that red images had appeared out of nowhere.
They had different weapons on them from swords to spears and all other kinds of weapons. Damien looked about these red images until he found an image of a Bisento and some fists, he curiously walked up to it and touched it. When he did so, a massive influx of information flooded into his head.
Blood Angel Style - A martial art made through and for killing, with this martial art you can bring your body, spirit, and mind into perfect alignment and be able to fully control your body's muscles, blood and bones. With both this and the Martial Stances it has for both the Bisento and hand-to-hand combat, it results in the user becoming a killing machine of the highest calibre.
This description was simple but it gave off the aura of countless killings and slaughters. So much so that it even shocked Damien, an ancient devil who had originally thought he'd seen countless killing.
But pushing passed his momentary fear, he started thinking about the amount potential this martial art has. Damien couldn't help but become incredibly excited and wished to practice it as soon as he could.
When Damien was thinking this, he was forcibly removed from his altered inner mind and back into his body where he was simply standing with the Bisento he'd picked up and staring at it dumbly. He quickly wiped that dumb look off his face and placed the Bisento against his right shoulder before walking back over to where the ranged attackers who didn't need weapons were, along with the others who had already picked weapons and also where Mrs. Quila was.
When she saw the weapon he picked she was surprised but didn't say anything, simply shaking her head as she thought about the history of that Bisento and how it fits a kid as brutal as Damien.
Damien looked around before walking over to Michael and the others. First up, he looked at the weapon which Scarlet had picked. It was a long blue saber that seemed like the claw of some massive beast. As he was looking at her weapon, Scarlet was looking at his with a discerning eye.
Eventually, she curiously looked at him.
"Why'd you pick a Bisento, Damien?"
"I don't know but when I saw it, I found myself drawn to it and I felt that I had to have it. Plus, I felt like I could do a lot of damage with it." with a carefree smile on his face he replied to her question and then asked a question with an equally as curious face.
"Why'd you pick that Saber anyway, Scarlet?" Hearing his question, Scarlet pondered deeply for a moment before she answered him.
"I guess it's the same as your reason, Damien, I felt drawn to it..." Scarlet seemed to stop herself before speaking too much, knowing she wouldn't stop talking if she started to talk about weapons. This got a laugh from Damien and Helen.
Once Mrs. Quila saw that everyone had finished picking their weapons, she finally spoke.
"Okay everyone, once we get back to the top, you can all go and do what you want. You know the time you need to be in the cafeteria and the way there, so don't get too distracted. I'd recommend that you spend your time training with your weapon." She finished speaking but seemed to instantly think of something as she pulled out a few flyers. "And here's a map of where you can go pick up either a martial art, a weapon art or a mental refinement art of your choice."
She started passing out small maps to Damien and the others. It had an easy to understand drawing on it which effectively showed whoever looked at it the way towards what it called the Multiple Arts Library.
After she said this they all walked to the platform and went to the ground floor for the school building. Once there Damien and the others went their separate ways, with Damien saying goodbye to Helen, Beth, and Scarlet as they were heading to the Multiple Arts Library, while he was heading back to the dorm to practice his new martial art.
The fist style, of course, he didn't want to destroy his and Michael's room with his Bisento after all, did he?

Up In Space
New chapter every other day Iain Compton never planned to be abducted by an alien spaceship. It just… happened. And now he’s been awakened 22,000 years in the future and half a galaxy away by a pair of oddly human seeming beak nosed aliens and a space ship A.I. that seems to have more than a few screws loose. Oh, and then there's this gorgeous alien woman who he probably shouldn’t trust at all. His plan is to find a way home to Earth, even if its unlikely to be remotely the same; to find a better class of companions among an often strange and inexplicable galactic community, at least one who won’t use him or sell him out at the first opportunity; and to do something about the parasites in his brain who are supposed to connect him to a library the size of the galaxy, but seem to only be telling him that almost everyone and everything he comes across wants to kill him. But at least he can still send tweets.

Ancient Mana Dungeon Core.
Yes the tags are necessary, they will make sense eventually too. Art is not mine, found it on pintrest btw the title on the thing apparently has no name, or at least no title that you can search, at least, but i found this: ‘ArtStation - [UE4] Lost Temple Ruins Jonas Axelsson’ (if your curious I was searching ancient temple game art when i found it don’t bother clicking the link on the thing that says facebook, it does not work) (i will not lie this is kinda my first publication so go easy on me). A while ago I fell in love with the Dungeon Core stories and decided: ‘Heck, why not make my own spin on things!’ and so i started brainstorming what to do and i kinda just found the idea for the story during it. This is the story of a guy named Michael Alex (not a typo that is the name I will be using for him) he was an avid fiction writer and reader who was just sitting on his couch playing a puzzle game on his phone called: Ruins of Drailmor Keep (a three in one deal: tower defence, Puzzle (mazes generally), and world building (namely building on the ashes of fallen empires and regulating certain things while the waves of enemies keeps coming back to burn it down and ruin it just like the curse would while ocasionally sending out your own monsters to get rare rescources)) when he gets an alert and well one thing leads to another and he died to a freak avalanche. He then comes into contact with the universe's will (basically something that *insert your prefered deity here* cooperated with to make the world (heaven, hell, the mortal world, yggdrasil, basically every "world" that has been made (in reality, mythology, games, books, cartoons/movies, and memes!) but also had a mind of its own at the same talk.) and Michael and the Universe’s Will talked and this story is about the outcome of said discussion.

Fall of Jupiter
What happens when the most powerful man in the world loses his soulmate to a heart attack? What happens when an innocent woman is dragged into a world of magic, and superheroes? Who is the true hero of the story? Note: This is the first book I ever wrote seriously. (I even had a cover made before I decided against publishing it) I'd like to think my writing style has improved with practice, and the multiple other books I've worked on. It felt wrong to leave a nearly completed book gathering dust in my google docs, but I don't think it's good enough to be officially published. As a result, I'm putting it here instead where it at least won't be totally wasted. Eventually, I'll put in the last 10 hours or so to finish it for you guys. Hope you like it :)
