《Electrosilver》Chapter 11

Francisca Labardos POV
I am really bored right now. We’ve already been here for thirty minutes doing nothing. Nothing at all. It’s really awkward just sitting here looking at each other in the eye. This is no romantic sketch, you know. What the hell are those two doing? To think that they would make the empress wait this long for them. Such arrogance.
Aaagh. In as much I say the empress, Im the one who’s really pissed right now. Why would they make me wait this long. I was just in the middle of my research when they called me to this damn meeting. Why would you do that to me? I want to go back. Just when my mana research was about to reach its climax. Damn you world, why did you do this to me.
Haha, good thing there’s gonna be a show in a few minutes. Im so excited to see how the empress will flame on them for being late. Hihi, this is going to be exciting. I can just imagine it.
Ooh no Francisca, your true face is showing. Hold it down, hold it down. These people don’t know about it. Let them continue to think that you’re an angel. Haha, such naïve people. To think that they would even think of trying to read into this great Francisca’s mind. Well that’s fine too, its not like they’ll succeed anyway.
“Queen Onaho greets the empress. I am sorry for arriving late.”
Ooh, so Onaho’s arrived. It’s a good thing that she’s apologized but that’s still not going to let her off. Let’s see what the empress will do to her. Hihi, this is going to be really exciting. Go on empress, give it to her. Give it to her real straight.
“Welcome Queen Onaho, please sit down. That’s a really lovely daughter by the way.”
Haha, that’s it empress, give it to her. Give it to…….. Really empress? That’s it? Damn it. And I expected a good show. Guess not everything’s as exciting as research.
Mmph. If its like this then I guess I’ll just have to wait for the other two so that this damn meeting can start already. But still, that research on mana was taking me pretty well. I can’t wait to get back to it. The way those mana particles danced seductively in my palm, haa so sweet. No! You’re drooling again Fransisca, hold it down! Damn it, hold it down! You need to learn to control yourself girl.
“Krrr” Ooh, the door’s creaking, it seems that they’re here. It’s about time. Ooh what’s this? There are one, two…three people and one fox. Wow that’s new.
“Gasp” Wait a minute, that’s a child right? And that on its shoulder that’s a ….a fox? Wow, They both look really strange. Haha, such beautiful pieces of specime….. people. If I get them and observe them I wonder what I could find. In the many years that I have lived this is the strangest thing I have ever seen.
Hoho, if I could just take them as specimen. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but they wont accept, will they? Maybe I should steal them, haha. I could totally do that. Yep, that’s what I’ll do. I’ll run to them in a hurry, snatch them and refuse to give them back.

Haha, I’m just so smart, who could think up such beautiful plan other than my brainy self. Damn it Fransisca, your face is slackening again. Hold it down damn it! Hold it down! You need to learn to control yourself.
Okay, now that my plan is done, time to get to action.
Back to Dusk
As soon as they entered the room, Dusk could hear gasps from almost all the people in the room. While they were subtle enough that only he with his superhuman hearing would be able to hear, they were still there nonetheless.
At the moment, it seemed like all the people in this room had been sitting down for a while waiting for them. It was pretty embarrassing to be the latest ones to arrive but as they were already late, there was nothing they could do about it.
Just as they were about to bow to the empress, Dusk could detect a sudden movement within his range. Queen Fransisca Labardos was currently shooting towards them at a really fast speed. However, in as much as she was moving really fast, she was both hiding her aura and not emitting any hostility.
As she was moving towards them, Dusk noticed that she had left herself extremely open. She was not even making minimal effort to protect any part of her body. Not only that, her face was rather slackening, almost as though she were highly intoxicated.
“Wow, this lady really needs some help.” Were the first thoughts on Dusk mind.
Sadly, because of the stealthy and unexpected nature of approach, the other people in the room were slow to react. It was only by the time Dusk noticed that the lady was heading specifically towards him and she was really close too that the other people in the room cast their glances towards her.
For some unknown reason, maybe because of her envy, once Onaho saw this scene, a sinister smile crept up on her face. She did not even bother to move. Not just her, even the other people in the room did not even bother to move. Apparently, they had grown accustomed to this lady’s weird behaviour. They simply smiled while looking in Dusk’s direction.
Dusk, however, felt rather uncomfortable by this. He, after all did not know what this lady was planning to do. And so, just as Fransisca was about to touch him, without even raising his head or opening his eyes, Dusk simply raised his cane and pointed it towards the pressure point on Francisca’s temple.
The moment the cane came into contact with Fransisca’s temple, it simply touched it lighly, without much force whatsoever. However, the moment the two came into contact, a noiseless thud could be heard as Fransisca’s unconscious body fell on the ground followed by complete silence.
“Wha… What the hell!”
Once the other people in the room saw this, the smiles on their faces immediately disappeared as they could not help but release loud gasps. This was really unbelievable after all. How could a child who was merely at the C rank put down a queen who was one of the strongest people on this continent at the middle S rank.

Not only that, the mere fact that he did it while keeping his eyes closed and seemingly without any effort made it even more unbelievable. In as much as they knew that Queen Francisca had left herself open for attack, that was still not enough to explain this turn of events.
What made it even more dreamlike was that the child had simply bowed afterwards and walked with his mother to her seat as though nothing happened. This was simply too unbelievable. They could see that even the child’s mother, Queen Jade had an unbelieving look on her face as she went forward to take her seat.
In as much as Dusk had made it seem really effortless, only he knew how much effort it had taken. It seemed that he had really underestimated the power of S rank. It was common knowledge that as your mana grows so does your mental capacity. This enables you to make use of the mana in an efficient manner.
While what Dusk had done required both physical and mental force, he had not expected the resilience of an S rank to be that much. Had he been on Earth, he was sure that for him to incapacitate a person by pressing their pressure point, he would merely need to apply physical pressure.
However, when it came to this queen Fransisca, physical contact alone had not worked making him resort to the use of his mental faculties which required a lot of effort. In as much as it may have seemed that Dusk had expended no effort at all, he was really tired right now. He presumed that it would take him about a day of rest to get himself back to optimum condition.
And all this was considering that Fransisca had left herself completely open and was in an intoxicated state of mind. Dusk presumed that should she have been in her right mind, he would have been unable to accomplish what he did at all. It was indeed never good to think too highly of yourself.
And so at this moment as Dusk was walking with his mom to her seat, he was feeling really tired. He, however, did not show it as his body was still exuding an aura of tranquility. Just as he sat down on his mum’s lap in the empty seat, Dusk could hear a stern voice.
“Queen Jade, is that young one your son?” The empress’s voice sounded out.
“Yes Empress, this is my son, Dusk Moonlight. Is there a problem?” Jade answered.
“No, not a problem. Just that, could you please explain to us what your son did to Queen Fransisca? The things that have just happened are really hard to believe.” The empress said in a cautious tone.
“I’m sorry empress but I don’t know myself. My son’s blind you know? So I doubt he even knows what he did himself, sorry.”
Once his mother mentioned that Dusk was blind, other unbelieving gasps could be heard once again. However, as they thought about it, the other people in the room came to find that it made sense. They could see that he had not opened his eyes even once since he entered the room after all.
“But Queen Jade, if he can speak then could you ask him to explain to us what he did there?” The empress asked as she tried to mask the expectancy in her voice
“Dusk baby, what did you do?” Dusk’s mom asked him.
“Sorry mommy, I don’t know. Am I in trouble? Did Dusk do something bad?” Dusk answered. While he rather disliked acting this immature. It was the only way that he could get out of this. He was only three years after all and was also blind. Maybe if he acted this way, these people would think that Queen Fransisca’s collapse was just a coincidence. A stroke of fortune maybe?
Sadly for Dusk, these were queens. And for one to be a queen one need not be stupid. Meaning that they could easily see through his act. However, in as much as they could see, since they had no evidence there was nothing that they could say about him. It was just like chasing a fleeting dream.
“Well, I guess that’s fine. Everyone has a few secrets after all.” The empress said in a resigned tone.
“But empress!” Queen Onaho tried to interject, however, before she could even finish, the empress had already cut her off.
“Enough! Queen Onaho, this may just have been a coincidence. Queen Fransisca is only unconcious after all. Do you want to tell me that someone of your strength can be so easily put down by a three year old child. Mmph.” As the empress said this, seeds of doubt began to bud in the hearts of the rest.
This was exactly the response that Dusk was aiming for. While what he had done may have seemed stupid, especially considering that it would have easily let off the secret on his strength, Dusk had chosen this manner for a specific purpose.
Once Dusk saw the lady rushing towards him, in as much as he did not know why she was doing so, he had already decided to use this opportunity. For that purpose, he incapacitated the queen in a seemingly effortless manner.
By doing this, he had wanted to spark a debate on how strong his abilities were so that people would not think him useless. His aim was that by the time he left this place, he wanted others to know that he could be quite strong but for them to also be unsure on how strong he is. Something that he seemed to have achieved.
“Okay, now that everyone is here. Time to start this meeting.” The empress said calmly.
