Ancient lore depicted the thousand-eyed crow as large jet bird; able to eradicate towns and continents with a swipe of his claws. He snorted at this assumption, yes he could level towns but would he do it, no. Perched on a nearby ancient tree the thousand-eyed crow lingered. This forest was his home, no his prison, he gazed upon the forest below him with his numerous eyes.
His heart clenched and he was filled with melancholy at the thought of being unable to leave this forest. He snapped out of his daze at the sound of a yell.
「Somebody! Anybody help!」
An adolescent obsidian wolf carried in his maw a wounded hare. He seemed to ignore his own injuries as he desperately limped forward.
The thousand-eyed crow opened his beak and spoke,「Young one, come here.」
