~Chapter Three~

Jake

Around eleven, mostly everybody had arrived. Perfect timing. Addison had texted me that she was on her way, and she was bringing Nathan. Adi has always talked about Nathan, from what I hear he's pretty cool. I've seen him around school, but I don't personally know him.

I walked around, talking and holding a red, plastic cup in my hand. Everybody was cool around me, probably because I had a lot of money. Don't you love rich parents? Not to mention they are werewolves.

Yes, I am a werewolf. That's what happens when both parents are wolves as well. However, none of us can change in front of others. Apparently, hunting of wolves has become popular...

Another thing everybody loves about me, I'm openly gay. Not gay as in happy. But queer as in FUCK YOU. I guess you could call me popular, but I prefer well liked. Of course there's some haters who think gay people need to go to hell. But, who cares about them? They're just jealous of me and the gay community. Cause, let's just be honest, what's hotter than two, adorable boys kissing? NOTHING.

Liam gently nudged me as he came back from shoving his tongue down his mate's throat. Natalie was all giggly and held onto Liam's muscular arm. Liam had on his smirk. "Hey." He got beside me as we watched the crowd of teens dancing and drinking. I smiled at him.

"Hello Horn Dog, oh, and his girlyfriend." I smirked. Natalie nuzzled Liam, smiling.

"You're just jealous that you aren't able to make out with him like I can."

"I can make out with him. Anytime I want." I smirked at Liam. "Didn't you tell her?" That made him laugh and look down at Natalie.

"Yup. I'm an equal opportunist." He grabbed me and pushed me against the wall, playfully grinding up against me. I laughed really hard, especially at the contorted face of Natalie as she watched us.

"You jealous?" Her cheeks turned red.

"L-Liam..." She whispered, obviously believing it. Liam laughed and pulled off me, bringing her close and kissing her passionately.

"I'd never do that to you, Nat.." He whispered to her. She looked like she'd pass out from relief. Liam whispered more things to her, but I didn't pay attention as Addison grabbed my arm.

"Jake! I found you!" She squealed. I laughed and turned to her.

"Hey, Adi.." I glanced around. "Where's.. Nathan?" She smiled.

"I told him to get a drink while I went to find you," she giggled, holding a bottle of non-alcoholic beer. I nodded. She gently took my shoulder. "Could you.. Maybe.. Go and be friends with him? He's kind of awkward... And shy. He's never been to a party like this.." I looked into her eyes that were filled with worry. I smiled.

"Of course. I'll go get him," and that, resulted in a hug from her. I hugged her back and gave her my drink to watch. I maneuvered myself from inside the crowd and was able to make it into my kitchen. I looked up and saw Nathan... And Cayden pressed against him. My breath caught, and my wolf whined within me.

Mate. It howled, causing my heart to race. Mate!!! I blinked out of my daze and a growl erupted from my chest. I ran towards them and yanked Cayden off of Nathan.

"Cayden!" I snapped. "For real?" He chuckled lightly, pissing me off even more.

"What? I'm just trying to have some fun." He smirked and put his hands in his pockets.

"Back off, alright? Not everyone's a fan of your three inch dick," I growled and gently took Nathan's arm. I heard Cayden groan in frustration, but he never tried to stop me. I led Nathan into a quiet hallway and gently placed my hand on his shoulder. I leaned in a bit and was instantly hit with his sweet scent. Oh my god, I can't express enough at how much my wolf was freaking out. I took a deep breath.

"Nathan? You alright?" I asked softly. He was so cute... He looked up at me with his wide eyes and he seemed to relax.

"Jake..." He said, barely above a whisper. God, I loved the way he spoke my name. It set my blood afire. I laughed lightly.

"Yeah, that's me." I gave him a warm smile and rested my hands in my jean pockets. "So.. You came with Adi?" He nodded, then looked around.

"Where is she anyway..?" He asked softly. I glanced at the dance floor, then pointed to her. Of course, Adi had found a dance partner and was having a good time. I was smirking, and looked back at Nathan. He was nervously looking at me.

"She's an excited one, isn't she?" That's when Nathan smiled and nodded.

"Always has been." That made me laugh. He was adorable, and I was thanking the high heavens for making him mine.

"Well, she's safe here," I ran a hand through my hair, feeling a bit nervous around him. I glanced away, then right back. I saw his eyes go down and look over my midsection. I flexed for fun to see his reaction. He blushed, and looked back up at me. I smiled comfortably and gently held his shoulder.

"Let’s go get you introduced to some people." I led him back to Natalie and Liam and introduced Nathan. Instantly, Liam took him in and got him to be comfortable. I got into their conversations and fell in love even more. My wolf howled in excitement. Mate!

Nathan

Jake was spending a lot of time with me. I really appreciated it, but I felt self-conscious. A lot. He had the body of a god, and mine is just... Me.

I've officially fallen in love with his laugh. It's so smooth and sexy.. It's hard not to literally drool all over him. I was able to let go though, and have fun. I danced with Adi and Jake, had a few drinks (not alcoholic!) and chatted. A lot. It was honestly the best night of my life.

Either Addison or Jake stayed at my side the entire time. I felt so loved!! Jake would always ask me questions and get me involved and I couldn't feel more infinite.

We stayed until ten at night. I gotta tell ya, when you're having fun, time just flies. Many were already trashed. Addison was saying goodbye and things to everybody else. I stood there and waited until Jake came up to me again. He smiled.

"Have fun tonight?" I nodded, smiling.

"You have no idea! Tonight was the best night, ever!" He laughed and wrapped an arm around my shoulder, pulling me close.

"Good! That's what I love to hear," he smiled. "Plan on coming back?" I nodded again.

"Definitely." He smiled more and pulled away when Adi found us. She smiled.

"Ready to go, Natey?" I nodded. She took my hand and waved to Jake, then walked back to her Charger. We got in and drove away. I could've sworn I saw Jake stare at me, almost wanting me to come back....
