(A/N) Thanks for reading!
Pit's P.O.V
When the rest of the group returned and Roy asked what he had missed, we, being Link, Zelda, and I, quickly explained what had gone down. Link asked if I could hang out with them from then on, and to my relief, everyone happily agreed. It would be good to have some real friends. DL wasn't much of a good friend. I mean, the guy practically hypnotized me to do his evil bidding. Thankfully Zelda is a forgiving person. I still feel horrible about it though.
I had heard that they were going to the amusement park today and since I was suspended for few days thanks to DL, I thought I'd find them. I finally found Link and Zelda by the Extremer Screamer and saw the whole DL thing go down. Hot, boiling, anger raged through my veins. So, I gave him a piece of my mind, apologized to Zelda, and now I have new friends. Good friends. Ones that I feel I can really trust.
I already feel like I've gotten to know these guys pretty well. We already have inside jokes, laughed plenty, and even shared cotton candy! I really wish I would've befriended these guys earlier, but no! I just had to change DL. Sadly, he changed me first. That was probably about my biggest regret in life. I just had to be the nice guy that would change the bully into a good guy. That totally backfired.
"Let's ride the carousel!" Peach said pointing to it. We had been walking around the park, riding rides that we came to and agreed on. "No! That's such a kid ride!!" Roy immediately objected. "Yeah." All the boys agreed. Except me. I just watched. The girls began to beg and bargain. They all did the pouting lips and wide eyes. Also known as the famous puppy dog face. "FINE!!! But like you said we get to choose the next three rides!" Ike said giving in. The girls jumped up and down in victory. Meanwhile, the rest of the boys began to argue with Ike.
"Why'd you agree?!" "What do you think you're doing?" "Since when do you get to decide for us?" They all exclaimed angrily at the same time. "It won't be bad! Plus we get to choose the next three rides!" Ike yelled to defend himself over their loud voices.
The rest of the boys finally agreed. "You're good with this?" Marth asked me. "Yeah. You haven't said anything." Link said. "Yeah. Sure." I said shrugging my shoulders.
Everyone stared at us. "TAKE A PICTURE! IT LASTS LONGER!!!" Roy yelled at one guy who blushed and immediately looked away. We all burst out laughing. Roy looked irritated at first, but still he cracked a small smile.

Soon enough, it was our turn. Link got on a reddish-brown mare that reminded him of Epona, Zelda was on a white stallion, Peach got on a Zebra, Samus climbed on a dragon looking thing, Marth got on a tiger, Roy and Ike got in the teacup that you can spin, and I got on a swan. Before the ride had even started Roy and Ike started to spin the teacup. They were already spinning fast as the ride started. I could not handle that. When I get super dizzy I get head aches.
At first I looked back to watch them, but even observing made me dizzy. I turned to face forward to enjoy the ride. What was there to enjoy? We were going in a circle at probably less than five miles per hour, and going up and down rhythmetically. Honestly, I could fall asleep.
I heard Ike and Roy began to call out as they started to get dizzy. To me, it looked basically like a spinning blur of red and blue. Would they be up for roller coasters after this? Soon the carousel slowed even more. I wasn't sure if that was possible until now. Then it stopped. I estimated that the total time elapsed was probably two to three minutes.
Everyone hopped off of their animals. We all gathered around the teacup looking thing. Both Ike and Roy's eyes were closed and their heads lolled back. Ike groaned and clasped his hand to his head. "So dizzy." Roy muttered letting out a breath. We opened the little door and us guys had to help the two out. We had to support them on our shoulders so they could walk. I was in the middle and Link went on Ike's other side while Marth went on Roy's other side. We slowly made our way off the ride and out the exit gate plopping them down on a nearby bench.
"Just wanted to make kid ride fun." Ike mumbled. "Yeah." Roy agreed. "I'm going to get them some water. You guys stay here." Zelda said. "Wait." Link called as Zelda began to walk away. She turned. "Yeah?" She asked. "What if you run into DL again?" He asked. "Oh right." She said quietly. "We'll go with you. The boys can stay here." Samus said volunteering herself and Peach. Peach nodded her head in agreement. "That sounds good." I piped in.
The girls went off to buy water while we waited with the dizzy baffoons. Link paced around, but Marth and I sat on either side of Roy and Ike. We stayed silent except for the occasional groans from Ike and Roy. They were definitely getting better though.
The girls returned within a few minutes handing everyone a water bottle. I hadn't realized how thirsty I was. Apparently, nobody else had either. It seemed like everyone chugged it down greedily. I still had about half the bottle though.

After a few long minutes, Ike and Roy were finally feeling well enough to continue riding rides. As promised, the boys got to pick the next three rides. Of course, we picked some hardcore roller coasters and this other one. It was a giant arm that had five or six other arms connected to it. There are four seats on each arm. The main arm swings and flips around, while the attatched arms with the seats do their own flipping and twisting. Kind of complicated.
This was the ride we went to first. We divided into two groups. Link, Zelda, Peach, and Roy would be on one arm, and Marth, Ike, Samus, and I would be on another. This is how the arrangement went, Link and Roy were on the ends and Zelda and Peach were in the middle. That way they could be by each other, yet Zelda could be by Link and Peach by Roy. On our arm, Marth and I were on the ends. Ike was next to me, and Samus was in between him and Marth.
The employees made sure that everyones' seat belts were secure. They were the kind that you pulled down. There was a hole in the middle for your head, then the bar was in a 'U' shape. The bottom went over your lap.
Then the ride began. The main arm lifted us off the ground and then began to spin and twist around. The attatched arms flipped and twisted making our hanging legs fling all over the place. The thing I hated about amusement parks was my wings. The person sitting next to me, (in this case Ike,) usually had to have one of my wings as a backrest. Thankfully, since I was on the end my other one was free. After a crazy few minutes, the main arm lowered us to the ground. The employees walked around again. You had to press a button at the end of each arm to release the safety restraints.
The other two coasters we rode were crazy, but pretty fun. Ike and Roy were already back to normal.
It was already getting late, so we rode a few more rides before leaving. I had flown here, so the boys offered me a ride back to the university. I excepted and we were off.
When we got back to the academy, we all sat in the courtyard talking. It was good to be in a friend group again.
Switching to third person P.O.V
The chatting group was surprised when Midna and Malon approached them. "We heard about what happened. I'm really sorry." Malon said looking at Zelda. At first everyone was confused, but slowly it dawned on each of them. DL. "Trust me...I know how DL can be..." Midna said. "Oh. It's okay now. I feel better." Zelda reassured with a small smile. "I also want to apologize for truth or dare. I was really rude to you...and...I'm sorry." Malon apologized again. Zelda could see the genuine guilt in Malon's eyes. She let out a small laugh. "It's okay Malon, I forgive you."
"Thank you." Malon said with a grateful smile. "What did you mean by you know how DL can be, Midna?" Peach asked curiously. Midna sat down on the grass with Malon in the group. "Believe it or not...we used to date." Midna began. A few of them gasped and widened their eyes. "He was always aggressive...forceful even. I didn't give him what he wanted though...so he started getting more aggressive. He was mean to me and threatened me a few times...I had to break it off. So I did." Midna finished her story looking down and pulling her hood over her head. Hiding her emotions.
"You poor thing." Samus sympathized. Peach and Zelda agreed. Even the boys took pity. "What a jerkwad." Marth said. "No girl deserves that." Roy agreed. "Says Roy. The one night stand type of guy." Ike teased. "Hey! I'm still with Peach aren't I?!" He exclaimed defensively. Ike and Roy began to argue. "I can't believe I fell for that asswipe's lies." Pit said. Everyone turned. They had never heard him swear before. Even Ike and Roy stopped bickering. "He is persuasive isn't he?" Midna asked. "Yeah...that twisted son of a...." Pit stopped himself and took a few deep breaths to calm down. "We saw him at the amusement park today." Link said randomly.
Midna looked up. "He doesn't give up on what he wants easily." She said. "We all hate DL right?" Malon asked. Everyone looked at each other. They all nodded and said, "Yeah!" "Yes." "Definitely." "Absolutely." All at the same time. "He's going to be back and we know it. I think we should stick together." Malon said. Everyone hesitated for a moment before agreeing. "Who's in?" Malon asked sticking her hand out. "YEAH!!" Everyone cheered piling their hands on top of each others.

Meanwhile, in post-war Nigeria, a streetwise teenager named Naema sees a different side of the empire. Between corruption and oppression, everyone lives in squaller.
