'Protests and pleaders '
'Take her name out of your mouth, you don't to mourn. You just love the attention, or do you get bored? You like the power you have, hope you get caught in the law.'
familiar feeling of anxiety settled in my stomach once again as we reached the same door that held their intimidating, malicious boss, BangChan. Changbin left no room for any words or protesting as he tightened his deathly grip on my wrist, swinging the heavy door open, revealing the still messy contents of the office.
Gulping nervously, I was harshly pushed forwards by Changbin, the force from the shove causing me to almost tumble into the desk. Thankfully I caught myself so I didn't have to undergo the humiliation of falling. Wasting no time, Changbin spun on his heels, and walked out of the office, slamming the wooden door behind him, his heavy footsteps echoing as he trailed further off into the distance.
Turning my attention back to Chan, the room fell into an uncomfortable silence as I awkwardly stood in the centre of the room, before he eventually opened his mouth to speak.
"So, by now I'm assuming you've noticed your... marking?" I hesitated for as second as I dared to look up at him, before replying with a simple 'yes,' I had learnt the hard way that they disliked non verbal responses.
He hummed in acknowledgment before dragging his lit cigarette away from his lips, the smoke sure surrounding the room, creating an awkward atmosphere. Before he harshly stood up, his chair hitting the wall as he pushed it back, causing me to flinch.
The tension filled room filled itself with an eerie atmosphere as he took painfully slow steps towards me, I didn't dare back away in fear of getting hurt once again. Flinching as he abruptly grabbed hold of my wrist, pulling me close to him. My breathing quickened as he got closer to me, taking his cigarette out of his mouth, bringing it close to my neck.

I began struggling as I quickly realised what he was going to do. Before he harshly jammed the still lit cigarette onto my untainted skin. The burning pain spread through my body as I let out a strained scream, feeling the burning blister form on my skin as I heard the sizzling of my skin being fried. My struggling began to die down as I felt him grip my waist as he brought the cigarette away from my now-burnt skin, the euphoric feeling of relief filled my senses as the pain was temporarily brought away.
My heavy, out-of-breath breathing filling the smoke-infested room as he loosened his grip on my waist. Desperately wanted to know the answer for the undeserved torture, I was able to work up the courage to ask, ask this narcissist why he would inflict pain on someone who had done nothing wrong.
"Why?" I meekly asked as I dared to glance up at him as he lit a new cigarette, the light from the overhead window shining off of his perfect face as he turned away from me. "Why?" He mockingly repeated, "WHY?" I flinched at his sudden change in tone as he harshly turned back around to face me, the furry in his dark eyes being evident as he locked eyes with my [eye coloured] ones.
Storming towards me as he harshly threw his newly-lit cigarette to the side of the uncomfortable room, my back hit the wall behind as I backed up from his inflamed state. Desperately trying to avoid any harm that could possibly come my way. Pointing his ringed index fingier towards my heart, he kept contestant eye contact as his fiery eyes burned into mine. "You don't get to fucking question me. You got that, bitch?" I fearfully nodded as he brought his face closer to mine.

Dread unfortunately settled into my stomach as I felt his gaze drift from my eyes, to my chapped lips. I very quickly realised what he was planning to do, and began panicking as he stood even closer. "NO. WAIT NO PLEASE NOT AGAI-" My protests and desperate pleads were roughly cut off as he smashed his lips onto mine, ignoring my muffled desperation to be released.
Taking the situation a step further, he messily roamed his palms over my lower back as he pulled away for air. Before I had time to celebrate the lack of contact, once again, he harshly smashed his rough lips onto mine, forcing his wet tongue into my mouth as he forcefully tilted my head to the side using my tangled hair for more access.
My fists came into contact with his slightly exposed chest as I hopelessly attempted to push him off of me, sadly, my tries remained useless. My eyes shot open as I felt his rough hand trail to the elastic waistband of my grey shorts, and slowly tried to tug them off. I switched positions with my hands and despairingly tried to remove his hands from my shorts. He grunted in annoyance and thankfully pulled away, giving me time to catch my breath. Before slamming his hand besides my head, causing me to flinch away from him as I tilted my head away from his grasp as much as possible.
My relief didn't last long as I felt his pristine right hand and sliver rings come into contact with my cheek, causing small cuts to trail across my [skin colour] skin. "I've clearly been to lenient with you." I shuddered in fear, scared for what he was about to do to me. "Don't you dare try and control what I do to you. Ever. It will only result in you being hurt even more." He seriously warned me, a scowl taking its place on his face. "We even gave you a warning about what will happen if you disobey us. Clearly you're acting so childish by taking advantage of my kindness." Kindness? KINDNESS? You've shown me no kindness you son of a bitch. I wanted to scream at him, but I held back. Knowing it would only result in me earning even more serious injuries.
He brought his hand away and took a few steps back, turning his head away in thought as his platinum blonde hair fell of his face. Before both of our attention was brought towards the large door as Changbin charged in, speaking no words but harshly grabbing my wrist and dragging me out.
Once again, I didn't protest, or plead for freedom. Knowing it would only result in pain. As he dragged me away from the room, he suddenly stopped, turning around to face me. "Chan's right. You've decided to behave like a child and you have taken advantage of our kindness. So, I'll treat you like a child. And when a child misbehaves. They get disciplined."

Tale of an Anomaly
It was supposed to be a normal weekend, staying a little bit longer in bed, not worrying about work, spending quality family time, or partying late night for some people and hoping to get a little lucky. Then why the hell were half the buildings disappearing right in front of them? What was the big message in the sky supposed to mean? And why the fuck was there a dragon in the middle of the city?! Follow Bharat, an ordinary freelancer out for a job, who, after getting caught up in an unfortunate series of events finds himself all alone in a forest full of dangerous creatures out for his blood, along with a strange screen in front of him that felt awfully similar to the games he used to play and the books he used to read as a kid. Maybe his countless hours of gaming weren’t useless after all! Release Schedule: 4 days a week About the author: Just an amateur writer from India who started writing as hobby during quarantine. English is not my native language, so any kind of feedback is most welcome. Don’t take the tags and warnings too seriously though. It’s just to prevent flames later, just in case.

Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)
The year is 2152. Rune Yahui is a nineteen-year-old failure, not having gained entrance to college or the military, with no significant prospects in life. Even worse, Rune is the poorest of the poor, hailing from the mega-slums of New Southern Chicago, the lowest pit of America. In a desperate last-ditch attempt to gain a future more lustrous than toiling the rest of his days away in abhorrent conditions in one of the near sweat-shop level factories that dot the megapolis, Rune signs up for the Virtual Citizen program, a program to cull the excessive world population by transferring just their brains into a video game. In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!

Legends of The Wesh: Lochley
The Universe is held together by something. It is an undisputable truth but nobody knows what that something is. People claim that it is connected by The Path of Legends, where Gods traversed trying to find the meaning of their own existence. Others claim that the universe is a Tree, connecting worlds with its extending branches and giving life-bearing fruits to its inhabitants. Several even claimed that the Universe is just a colony of ants, that this universe and the worlds in it are just as insignificant as insects. In one of the Worlds in it, the arrival of someone signaled great changes. Gods will die, Trees will Rot, Insects will burn. Those at the top had fallen and they will upend the worlds trying to claim what was theirs. Those at the bottom have had enough of scraps and they yearned to devour the fruits of the worlds. Those that were innocent and caught in between had no choice but to persist, lest they get erased by the surging tides. Nobody knows where will they end, but everybody knew where they started. They will not be judged, they will not be rebuked, they will not be curbed, they will not be vanquished. The universe is their canvas and it’s time — time to paint their truths upon it. Azrael was born as a prince in the warring world of Ost. Inheriting the title but not its privileges and oppressed by his siblings in every step of his life, he had no choice but to be subservient to their whims until circumstances spiraled him to the abyss, to a new world, and to more agreeable companions. But is he truly free from the past or will it continue to hound him to his new life? Elira had one wish… to be known more than as an offspring of the Great Phasol Family. Talented, hardworking, and stubborn, she struggled to break free from the influence of her family. Everything had been going well in her life but is she strong enough to resist the upheaval and truths of the world? William grew up in an orphanage with nothing to his name. Regaled by various tales of fantasy and greatness by his caretakers, he reached adulthood with the goal of having a legend of his own. Will he make his mark on the world or be forgotten like an ant; crushed by the boot of an unsuspecting traveler. The world of Lochley has been at peace for centuries and its undercurrents are growing restless from waiting… waiting for that spark of opportunity to ignite and swallow the world whole. Some will cause it, some will resist it, and some be drowned by it. Which one will you be?

Winter Fire [ Book 1 ] ✔
On the second jump, Claire's bad leg gave way and she felt herself tumbling forward. A cry of surprise escaped her and Claire was certain she was about to topple off the side of the train. Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest.
