"What is the important thing you wanted telling me" I asked Aisha.

After the call we had, I quickly finished my chores at home and rushed here. My friend really need me and I want to be there for her during her need. She has also done same for me, and lots more.

" Ameera, you won't believe what I'm about to tell you" she said. From the look of it, I think it's something very serious.

" That's why I'm here Aisha, tell me please. You are seriously scaring me" I said worriedly.

" Dad and mum came to have a talk with me yesterday " she started

" Ameera, I'm not ready for what they want me to do" she continued.

" Just say it already, the suspense is killing me. What is this thing they ask you to do" I asked. I know she is really disturbed by it.

" They said they have arranged my wedding with the son of baba's friend. His name is Ameer and he just got back from a business school in England " she explained.

" Ameera,i don't want this marriage and I don't know how to tell them about Bashir " she said while crying.

" I can't do this, I can't. I'll kill my self if I don't marry Bashir, he is my heart desire . What should I do Ameera, please help me. " she wailed . I went closer to hug her, I feel so sad for her.

" I think you should explain this to mum. She is a woman and I know she would understand" I reasoned. Since mum is a woman, I know and believe she will help.

" you don't understand. Mum will never go against dad. She follows anything he says, their is no going back" she kept wailing.

I kept consoling her. She really needs a shoulder to cry on. A part of me is happy about it and a part of me is not. I really don't want her to end up with Bashir, he is a bad influence and I don't trust him. I don't want to be selfish, I want my friend to be happy. If she chooses to be with Bashir, then I'll support her.

" What do you think I should do" Aisha asked.

" I think you should talk to Bashir about it. Tell him to bring his parents over to ask for your hand in marriage " I said . That is the only thing I could think of right this minutes.

" yes ,yes I think you are right,Why haven't I thought of that" she said and quickly wiped her tears.

" let me call him right this minutes " she hurriedly said. She took her phone from her nightstand and gave him a call.

He picked up on the second ring. I couldn't hear what he was saying. The phone was not on loudspeaker.

She end the call and turn to me with a large smile. I guess he agreed to bring his parents over. That's a relief, I guess.

" So, what did he say" I asked.

" He agreed. He said no problem " she hugged me so tight. Wow!.... I guess Bashir isn't that bad,he really loves her then.

" I'm happy for you." I said. " but... "I remembered something.

" What is it" she asked.

" We shouldn't celebrate just yet. We don't know if baba will accept, I think we should see the result first" I reasoned with her.

" yes you are right, I just want everything to be over" she replied with a solemn face.

" But the important question is when is Bashir and his family coming over" I asked. It better we act fast.

" He said they will be coming next week friday. His parents traveled out and they will come back next week Wednesday and he hasn't told them about us yet. But, when they come back, he will tell them about us "she explained.

" OK, he should better tell them fast. Time waits for no one." I said. " That means you will start your higher institution in your husband's house" I joked. She smiled at me.

" Very funny" she rolling her eyes.

"you've never told me about your love life. I remember you once told me about one of your admirers called Faisal. But you never told me the complete story" she said in a teasing voice.

I was seriously blushing when she remembered Faisal's name. It made me remember what he proposed to me.

Before coming to Aisha's house,i called him that I wouldn't be able to see him this evening. I explained that my friend really needs me and he understood.

" Are you seriously thinking about him right now " Aisha said, bringing me out of my thoughts.

" what?! no I'm not" lies. I was seriously blushing.

" wow my friend is blushing, that's a start. " she teased.

" stop, I don't like him" I said, covering my face.

" Don't be shy. It nothing bad if you like someone" she said with a small laugh.

" So tell me the full story about this guy" she asked. She was so eager to know.

" please Ameera,i want to know" she begged.

I gave up and told her everything about him. I told her about how he confessed his love for me and about his intentions of marrying me.

" You silly girl, what was your reply " she asked.

" well, I told him I will think about it. I was planning to tell him my answer today" I said with a sigh.

" Then why haven't you told him your answer " she asked.

" Because I rushed here immediately you called. But I told him we would meet tomorrow " I said .

" oops, I'm sorry for that. I had to spoil your plans"she said apologetically.

" silly girl, it was nothing. Have you forgotten that its sister before guys" I joked.

" Yeah, right" she laughed.

" What was your answer if you were to meet. " she asked.

That's my friend for you, she is too nosey for her liking.

" yes" I said, smiling.

" Really?, so your answer would have been yes. You have really taught about it then?"

I nodded

Although, I haven't thought about the marriage part. I'm not sure if I'm ready for marriage now,i just agreed to him seeing me. My plan is to get married after my university education. That time, I'll have time for marriage and so many things.
