I walk out of the library with the two books I picked out, in my hand. I look to the side, and see the little boy I saw earlier getting picked on. I drop my books, and run towards the scene.
KIDS THESE DAYS....!
"HEY! LEAVE HIM ALONE, YOU ASSHOLES!" I yell, pushing one of the boys to the floor. Causing the boy to sprain his ankle.
"Who do you think you are?" Another boy yells out, making me look them up and down in disgust.
"And who do you think you are? You're just a little kid! Shouldn't you be home learning your time tables, or something?" I spat back,
"Wha...."
"What's 5 times 6?" I ask,
"I....I don't remember-"
"THEN GO, AND MEMORIZE THEM!!" I yell, making him jump.
"We gotta go, man. WE GOTTA GO! She's insane!"
"HEY, WAIT UP!!"
I sigh, and walk towards the injured boy, giving him a comforting smile. He looks up at me, shocked to what I just did.
"Hey, you okay? Here, let me patch you up." I say, grabbing the bandages from my pocket. Bandaging up his wound's,
"....Thank you." He say's,
"For what?" I ask, still being focused on putting the bandages.
"Helping me. Usually people see what's going on, and either ignore it, or just laugh." He explains. Poor kid. I feel bad for him.
"Ohh....I'm sorry about that. But, hey! You're okay, now! And your wounds are all patched up." I say, getting up. The boy getting up, too.
"Thank you, again. I really appreciate it....I really do." He says quietly, looking away.
"No problem! Here's your book." I say, handing it to him. He grabs it, and look's up at me with a slight smile.

"Thanks." I nod,
"Your welcome! Well, I gotta get going back home now. Or else i'm in trouble. Need anything else?" I ask, the boy shaking his head.
"No. You can go, now. I'm fine." I nod,
"Okay, bye!" I say, running away. He wave's, walking the opposite direction.

I continue walking home, till I heard a lot of yelling. I looked to the side, and see that all the yelling is coming from the 'Grab N Go' place. Maybee being a little bit late won't hurt, too much.
I walk towards the building, and walk inside. I look to the side, and see a tall man with long curly blonde hair playing with the ping-pong machine.
woah....I definitely need to see this!!
I walk towards the machine, and stand besides the man while he continues to focus on the game. I then realize it's the boy from school! The one with REALLY bad anger issue's....he doesn't scare me, though.
He's really good at playing this game!
"Hey, you're doing really good! That's impressive." I say,
"Ya, no shit. I'M A PRO AT THIS GAME!" He yell's,
Well, damnn!
"Okay okay, and....YES! I BEAT MY HIGHSCORE!!" He yells, hitting the machine. I look at him with a 'what the hell?' look.
"HIGH FIVE!"
"What??"
"I SAID GIVE ME A HIGH FIVE!!" He yells, impatiently. Jeez! okay okay! I raise my hand, and give him a high five.
"HEY! Aren't you Y/N, from school? The one person who broke that one person's nose??"
"Uh....yeah. I don't like talking about it, though-"
"WELL NICE TO FUCKING MEET YOU, Y/N. i'm Vance." He introduces,
"Ya, I know. The one person with anger issues, right?"
"E

Shoot!
"Uh....ahah. I gotta go!!" I yell, sprinting out of the building. I cross the street, and turn to see Vance outside of the building.
"YOU LITTLE SHI-"
I continue running in full speed. not only because of Vance, but because I have to be home! Like, RIGHT NOW!
I make it to the neighborhood, and see someone getting up. I push passed them, causing that person to fall. SHOOT! SHOOT! SHOOT! I quickly turn around, and go to help the person get up. I take a closer look to see who it is, and it was Billy!
He looks up at me, and smiles. Shoot!! Y/N, APOLOGIZE TO HIM!
"I'm so so sorry! I'I'm in a rush to get back home, right now. And...." I suddenly stop taking, and just stare at him. Not saying a single word.
Talk, Y/N! Girl, talk! WHY CAN'T I TALK?!
"It's okay. Don't worry about it." He reassures, getting up. Wiping the dust off his jacket, and look's back at me.
"Also miss, may I ask what your name i-"
"Okay, thank you! Hope you're okay! I gotta go, now!! Or i'll get in trouble!" I say, running away. Leaving him stand there, confused.
I'm sorry....wish we could've talked. But I can't get in trouble with dad. I can't!
I make it home, and see Finney in the front yard, playing baseball by himself.
"Hey, Finn....!" He look's at me, and walks up to me.
"Where were you??!"
"I know, I know! I'm really sorry. Won't happen again!"
"Hmm. Alright, sureee!" He replies. I laugh,
"Ahah....anyways! Whatcha practicing for? For the upcoming game?"
"Ya. I just found out that they moved the game to tomorrow!" He say's annoyed, throwing his hat. What. Really??! Why tomorrow?
"What?! Are you being serious?"
"Yes. Are you still gonna come to my game, still? I know you have to go help Robin with his homework, tomorrow." Oh ya. That too! Shit.
"Yes, of course! Always." He smiles, and nods.
"Thanks."
"Anyways! I'm gonna go do my homework, now!"
"Alright!!"
I was walking back home with my dog Rover, still thinking about what happened earlier. I finally had an actual interaction with the girl that I see every morning! She looks very....pretty up close. She looks like a sweet person.
I come across her house, and see that one of the lights were on. I look at the window, and see her. She's writing. Look's like she's doing homework? She look's really concentrated.
I smile, and continue walking.
One day i'll find out what your name is, and actually have the guts to ask you if you wanna be my friend. Or to at least talk with you,
"She's really pretty, isn't she Rover?" Rover look's up at me, and bark's.
"Knew you'll agree with me."

Author's Rant
Just a disclaimer, this is not and never will be a story. I just, noticed I have a bad habit of wanting to rant in my author's notes, and have decided that, instead of accidentally doubling the length of each chapter with the author's note alone, I will shove those long-ass rants here. It might contain spoilers for my stories, as I usually wind up ranting about different parts I'm writing. So, if you actually enjoy my rants...well, firstly, what is wrong with you? Secondly, welcome! Time to figure out what tags to stick on this. Also, as of the second chapter, I have decided to shove some of my story ideas here. So if you enjoy half-baked, unfinished stories, then I got those too. I think that adds that short story tag?
