You were self-conscious of your looks, and today you wanted to be a bit different. Picking up an eyeshadow brush, tapping it onto a palette and brushing some color over your eyelids. You thought the makeup would cover your insecurities...
After you finished with your task, you decided to show your boyfriend Johnny your new look, 'hopefully he likes it,' you thought to yourself as you headed to him. He came over and was playing video games while he waited for you to get ready, you two were supposed to go out to dinner. His attention was all on the game his was playing, until you spoke up,
"Hey Johnny?"
He paused the game and looked up at you, "yes?" he asked with a sweet smile.
"Do you like my look?"
"Yeah it's alright," well that isn't what you wanted to hear.
"What do you mean? Its bad? Did I over do it? Under do it?"
He giggled at you as he stood up from his spot on the floor. He looked you in the eyes as he said, "I said, it's alright."
"Well, I wanted to look good."
"Then why the makeup?"
"Huh? Just tell me what I did wrong please, so I can fix it."
"Take it all off." He said with a straight face.
"Why?"
"Because you look perfect without it on," he said as he placed his hands on your hips, "I love you as you are, naturally." Your heart melted at the words, and your eyes softened as you gazed up into Johnny's beautiful eyes.
"Y/N, I love you," he whispered to you and he leaned down, laying a kiss on your lips.
"Please, do me a favor?" he asked you. You hummed in response.

"Take off the makeup and get comfy. I'm going to order Chicago style pizza and we're going to watch a movie." You felt bad that you caused the two of you to miss the dinner date, but you couldn't help but smile at how sweet your boyfriend was.
"Yes sir!" you exclaimed as he booped your nose and you headed back to the bathroom to clean up.
Your date night pizza was great and cheesy like the jokes Johnny made about the movie, and as the night grew darker, both of you cuddled up, snuggling together, soon falling asleep on each other cutely.

Forewarning regarding the start of the story. This story contains graphic descriptions of violence. The first few chapters of the book focus mostly on characters experiences and state of mind. The protagonist doesn't start off as a hero, he's distressed, confused, scared and struggling for survival. LitRPG elements are sprinkled throughout these chapters but aren't initially at the forefront of the story. If you're willing to persevere, the LitRPG elements and significant progression become more heavily intertwined with the story as they become more relevant. There’s a focus on the mental state of the protagonist and an alternating pace of writing to allow character development to occur. The planned second book will kick off at a much faster pace with more action, focus on the system, and delving into the purposes of the Grand trial assigned to the main protagonist.I aim to deliver a world with Interesting characters, Monsters, Magic, Epic battles, Levelling, System interaction, Skill creation, Trials (Quests), Dungeons, Training and more. *** Release ****Chapters will be around 2000-3000+ words long, averaging 2.5k.
